I never figured out how to play arma. I downloaded it, and there was no multiplayer, no lobbies nothing. just single player. I assume you have to look up mods, download them, and then get into those modded games? anyway it was always doen shitty
Great video! I got to complete a whole Antistasi campaign on Altis with a bunch of friends. It took us 5 months playing on weekends, and it was totally worth it. The late stages of the Antistasi campaign feels like total all-out war, with simultaneous battlefields going on and with a faction Commander deploying and moving AI teams on the whole map. It really is a great mode for different kinds of players, including the tactical leaders (that like to plan ahead, be in charge of logistics, etc.), and the run-and-gun guys that only like to blast enemies.
I've watched a couple of your videos on ARMA, and I have to say you're one of the best channels for basic tutorials. You keep it simple, you explain it well, you show us while you're doing something, and you show failure. Not in this video, but in another one where you were killed twice by enemies. I think that's a good thing, because it shows what can go wrong. You sir have earned another subscriber. I think it would be cool to see you guys livestream your games on Fridays, if you haven't already, I'll check and see later. Keep up the great work!
I really appreciate this comment. I’m glad you find value in my format. This comment helps give me confidence to continue on with my path. I encourage you to join our discord server and join the fight with us!
@@ylsgaming If I had a gaming PC I would join. Hopefully I will have one by the end of the year, and when I do get one I'll keep you guys in mind. Just have to get over my hesitation to use discord. haven't heard a lot of good things about it lol
@@Anti-Villain-Wolf discord is an incredible way to meet new gamers that are like minded. I’m not sure what anyone would have against discord, it’s revolutionary
i just came across this and im legit excited as hell to set this up.The way you explained everything made it sooooo easy. thank you! Im telling my discord buddies about it in hopes that they get the game and we can play. its only me so far haha
Hell yeah man I’m glad I was able to help!! We have a dedicated server now too so if you want to save yourself the confusion of hosting for your friends, you guys are welcome to join our discord community and use our server!
Hey man, much love. I've been wanting to come back to Arma 3, but hesitating from yes all the confusion, trying to find a game mode, And I love looting and building up, upgrading weapons so this sounds amazing thanks bud.
Thank you for sharing! My friends and I are going to give this a shot for sure. We keep trying to mesh into Arma Groups but I feel like with this we can have fun together at our own pace.
That’s why we started our community! So we could learn without judgement. But these videos have gotten overwhelmingly positive feedback and before I knew it, the discord community was growing rapidly. We are very active and we welcome new comers! Check the discord link in the description of my most recent upload! Hope to see you and your friends there
I have been intdrested 8n ARMA3 for years. Stayed away because of the overwhelming amount of mods and dlc. This seems to make it easy to drop in and get comfortable. Now im interested all over agin.
I love that I helped inspire you to get into it. I can honestly say for a 10 year old game, it’s still incredible and holds its own in todays standards
@viking6985 I understand where he is coming from. The game does make it easy to install mods which is great but it can be overwhelming when some mods don’t work or some contradict with others. And especially if you’re not familiar with modding. Arma overall is overwhelming for some people. That’s why I like sharing what little I know of it means helping others get into the game with a little less stress.
Honestly, a great multiplayer mode that players somehow never liked was End Game, but only the ones that weren't Feres, feres was a bit too large of a scale for End Game IMO, End game Zaros, Kavala and Tanoa maps were amazing
Tell me more. Is it an AI game mode? Our arma community is only made up for 4 of us so far so we need AI based games to keep banking hours and learning how arma works on a larger scale. As we all know it’s a huge learning curve to get into the game, but what we do know so far has us super excited and eagerly awaiting our Friday night sessions
@@ylsgaming Hmm well no, it's primarily PvP, although it has both components Basically: Fairly quick matches (probs under 30 min for End Game Zaros, they can become longer as the scale increases) 2 Teams, objective is to find the location of an important intel device, then bring that device to a specific location and "upload" the contents of that device to win In order to find out the location of that device teams need to do a few things that involve mostly PvE, firstly, they have to stablish an FOB, by clearing an AI outpost, then they have to go to specific locations and meet different objectives (also AI but common to both teams so they can face each other) which can be clearing an area, interacting with something (like, just get in, grab something and leave) , downloading data from a laptop (for which you need to stay in the vicinity of said laptop for a while, the closer you are the faster teh download, the more people you have with connection the faster as well), some objectives can be completed by both teams, some others cannot or one team might disable it (in the laptop case you can shoot the laptop) after doing it themsevles to prevent enemy from gaining anything from the objective Each objective also gives you access to different gear at FOB, either accessories, vehicles, weapons etc Once a team finds the info on the important device, both teams can gather the device and upload it (each team on a different location, upload works similar to laptop download ruleset) to win, the team that first meets enough objectives can see the initial position on map, once someone picks the device they are marked on map as long as they stand out in the open (won't be marked if traveling beneath trees or inside buildings), enemy team has to prevent them from coming close to their upload point, steal the item and travel to their own upload point themselves End game Zaros is 8 people, 4 per team, pretty quick and small scale, Kavala was 16, Feres 32, I don't really like Feres cause there's too much going on for the kind of game mode, makes no sense to have IFVs, APCS and whatnot IMO for this kind of game mode, but that's each to their own, something that the Altis layouts have in common is each time starts on opposing sides with the objectives in the middle, some objectives usually belonging to fixed teams since they are closer, something I loved about Tanoa layouts is it was more similar to a race, they both started roughly from the same location, and "raced" each other for the same objectives, you have to ballance out how much you wann clash with the opposite team in order to still advance and do your thing, disrupting enemy ops was more viable than in Altis maps as to slow them down and gain an advantage
@@ylsgaming It is a mixed game mode. 4x4 8x8 each side fight through a city, searching for Intel in ceratin spots. You need to clean the AI and collect data. The team who catch all files first gets the advantage After all that they get the location for upload this data and win the match. The other team can pursue to steal and upload to win It is indeed a great game mode
I had a hard time getting the options to pick a menu but finally found it. For me it was the scroll wheel next to the officer and for the other menu the Y button.
Great video! I was somewhat familiar with Antistasi from watching a few different UA-camrs play it, but I'm really new to actually playing ARMA as well and have never played ARMA multiplayer, just been messing around a little in the Direct Action mod by BillyEatWorld. It's great, but I feel like I'm ready to move on to Antistasi and get a little more context and "lore" for my actions in-game. You did a great job explaining how Antistasi works. I'm gonna make sure I've downloaded the same Antistasi version you did, and then I'd definitely be interested in joining your Antistasi campaign with your friends as long as you're not already overloaded with too many people :)
We’d love to have you! We don’t actually have any extra people aside from the original 4 yet. All I need is your discord name so I can invite you to my discord server and then we can go from there. You don’t need need to download any mods yet because I can provide you with a mod list directly in discord that will have your arma launcher automatically download all the correct mods we use. But yes I was in the same boat as you recently, I was ready to feel some accomplishment and antistasi does a great job at giving you a sense of progress! We’re probably 20 or 30 hours into our liberation and we don’t even have a 3rd of the map liberated yet
For undercover I like to keep a rifle and vest with ammo in the trunk to grab if I need it. Usually I dont but my friends like to start shit and call backup.
Awesome! So stoked to see another 'Tuber promoting Arma 3 -- and the Antistasi mod too! I'm old skool Arma and this is one of my favorite mods. And seeing the "new sub" and "I'm playing this" is great to see for you and the game! Right on! And for the "jumping in folks": 1) Arma's unforgiving and not your typical "run and gun" FPS type game. 2) "All the control keys!!!" is a myth. Basic WSAD, reload, weapon swap, crouch/prone, zoom, and run/walk is all ya need to get going. 3) This is an Arma 3 mod. It's designed to promote tactical, strategic, and "big picture" thinking, with a bit of hilarious "uncover" fun once you figure it out. Thanks for the video and keep rocking, dude!!! (IMHO, bolt action beats MP5 every day, all day long. :-)
@ylsgaming9720 you've got a good "streamer presence" and Arma's drawing interest these days. Great combo! Hey, I've been playing some form of Arma for near 20yrs and I tuned in and liked it. Run with it, dude! New folks learn and relate; Arma vets relive the joy of starting out. :-)
@@bklough I appreciate those words! Your comment, plus many others on these two videos I recently posted have convinced me to go with it and keep offering content on arma for you guys!

Yooo what about liberation? That one's basically just "go to place, schwack everyone until place be liberated, place be liberated, go to place" rinse and repeat until you win, maybe do a side mission or too lol.
@@ylsgaming True but I wasn't talking about which one we liked more, just which one is simpler lol I'm personally more of a Liberation guy myself, but no bad times are had with Antistasi c:

Been playing ARMA since 2001 with Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis. The watch button should be "o" if I remember right (but you took the chemical thing instead which is why you couldn't find it). It's been a few years since I played ARMA 3 but I think I'm starting to get a hankering for it once more. I remember discovering Antistasi in its much more undeveloped state years ago and wanted my friends to play it with me but couldn't convince them. It wasn't until SovietWomble made a video on it that they got interested, pffft. Still haven't actually played beyond 1 session of it so maybe I'll look for a server that runs it persistently.
So since I’ve made this video, I have gained a large following through my discord server. And since then we have hosted a 24/7 dedicated antistasi server that we manage daily. We are almost 4 months in now so we have ironed out many issues and we’re to the point that we host group events to liberate different parts of the current map. If you and your friends are looking for a friendly community to come play antistasi in all its glory, then look no further and join my discord channel. For more information, check out my most recent video upload on youtube. I hope to meet you on the battlefield soon :)
@@ylsgaming Yeah I noticed it was an older video but I figured I'd post anyways. Been going through the videos mostly in order (except the one from 3 days ago which brought me here, funny to see how your gameplay is in that one compared to these 4 month old ones) and it's really tempting me to get back into ARMA 3. I'll likely look into YLS soon. Keep up the good work.
Couldn’t agree more. I hate that polished scripted feel that games like call of duty have. I love that arma keeps you on your toes with unpredictability
It's not that they chose more content per say it's more of they have not much more these could squeeze out of an old engine.. With Dayz money they have developed a better one going forward.
he showed you the most complicated gamemode to start with hahah, i think the escape mode is good for beginners since it's very linear and fun at the same time.
I installed all this based on this video thanks 🤩. Erm… lemme know if you need players I’m new to Arma but not Bohemia games so I can easily negotiate the server setup etc no pressure I’m sure I’ll make team mates it’s not that just we share the same goal that’s all.
@@ylsgaming oh my bad I did do that I’m Trac3r I’m in there downloading the mod pack now and did the other tutorials to get on thanks to your great instructions
Does it have a campaign mode for solo player? I mean, I'll eventually checkout different modes and servers but was hoping it would have a campaign too.. to just play and get down the controls.
@@MM-ig1iv it does yes! It has the base game campaign but also check out this video I made about a campaign that was made as a mod. It has an incredible story. Better than the vanilla campaign in my opinion. ua-cam.com/video/zUxKtlkEMTo/v-deo.html
Base building and loot collecting !! You start out with crappy rifles and loot your kills and bring the gear back to HQ. It’s like liberation mode with a sprinkle of dayZ
You should for sure check them out. Its essentially antistasi but you're playing as the liberators but have to run logistical missions after capturing supply depos to recruit men and vehicles @@ylsgaming
Yes but, in some cases of Kp liberations, u have to touch some things that makes the mission too better and, belive me, the misison is too much better. In some cases, the zeus is blocked, and Zeus is very important to play alone, that is in sumary what is more important, if the Zeus is not working, dont play alone. This is just an advice hehhe
Not if you use MCC and Zeus enhanced. Its what I do in KP liberations and I have never had an issue. Sorry if that sounded a bit dickish, wasn't trying to come off that way. Also under parameter's when in the pregame lobby you can disable limited zeus so that its not blocked at all@@bilobiu
Antistasi is probably one of the more advanced game modes to play haha. Liberation would of been a better choice. Or even king of the hill is a better choice… and don’t require a mod.
Well I played king of the hill as a beginner and it was not fun. Too chaotic and left me no room to learn the mechanics of the game at a reasonable pace. The arma 3 official website agrees with me and says it’s great game mode for both vets and beginners. I’ve also provided some getting started videos for players learning antistasi. I like the looting aspect and the sense of progression, sort of like the altis life servers but without the intense learning curve
@@ylsgaming have you tried liberation? It is similar to antistasi. Gather supplies to increase resources at your main base. I can see how king of the could seem chaotic but to me is just basic combat don’t really need to know many mechanics. But I’ve played arma since operation flashpoint. And to me I would say antistasi is one of the more advanced game modes to play mostly because of the mechanics in the game mode such as going undercover and what not. I watched the whole video and you kind of proved it to be a harder game mode to learn. But to each his own. Do great job explaining stuff you knew. You should of played more so you could give better info. So much you left out but you did get the basics covered
"and actually you can play this game mode completely solo, like you don't have to have any friends.." perfect because i don't have any friends 😂😂. Awesome video btw. Thank you for the reference. I am looking forward to trying this mod.
Yes we are. We are a small team of 4 at the moment but I would like to raise that number to at least 10. If you’re interested I will just need your discord name so I can invite you to the server
Seems interesting. Just too bad you're limited to partisan factions. Wish there was a decent alternative for playing as the invaders and going army vs army.
If your friend has a server open. You can just click “friends” in the server list. But also you need to make sure he has UPNP box checked and his host settings set to “internet” for you to be able to see his server
I can't exactly say this is "Noobie friendly" because arma in itself already has a steep learning curve. This game takes that up a notch, especially with how aggression and AI adaptation works. Ambushing a convoy? Try that again with an MRAP, did it again? T.A.N.K.S. Used a mortar? better not be at your base! Killed a little too many during a raid? here's a drone that's followed by QRF filled with spec-ops that has armored support from every armor available within a 5KM radius. I love antistasi but I can't really say its a good choice for new players.
Well I can honestly say that myself and my friends are noobs when it comes to everything arma 3 offers as well as how the AI works. And antistasi has been the first mode that we got involved in that we actually understood and found ourselves itching to get together for another session. We’ve been spending our time winning over smaller towns and stealing supplies from the occupants. Maybe it’s not for all noobs but after weeks of getting frustrated and server hopping and trying to find decent coop missions from the workshop. We felt like we found something worth playing that saves our progress as we go when we found antistasi. This video was made to help people like us who were doing constant trial and error and never feeling satisfied. I searched for fun game modes on youtube for like minded people and couldn’t find much so I felt it was fitting to post this video.
I hoping my controller preset will work almost perfectly to play editor created campaigns as im also looking to create a campaign here soon reforger on xbox sucks constantly crashing no more modern mods sadly since bohemia favors pc over consoles instead out valuing both 😢
The thumbnail make me it seem like you’ve found something new… Antistasi has been one of the most played modes (if not thee most recent played) since the game started.. it’s old as shit and I don’t know anyone who doesn’t already know about it. But… FINALLY!
Well if you haven’t gathered from my narration in the video, I said that I spent weeks as a noob trying to find a multiplayer game mode I could enjoy with friends with a sense of progression to get me over the arma learning curve. So yes, FINALLY I found that game mode. And clearly it’s helped many other people do the same. I know it’s an old game mode, there is lots of UA-cam content out there about it, but for noobs alike, finally a game mode that is fun and not overwhelming pvp action or altis life servers like most noobs stumble upon in their first experiences with arma 3 multiplayer.
The thing he lacks in mentioning is alot of mods for arma 3 have over 20+ dependencies which makes it useless unless you constantly click into them to keep subscripting seperately its such a hassle and bohemia just doesnt care about it at all arma 3 is such a hassle of a game especially for beginners like myself they target one specific category of human beings if you have disabilities/challanges this is not a game you could adapt to easily at all i bought the game in october 2022 and i just figured out how to put a preset together for a controller since i cant game with keyboard and mouse bohemia lies about possibility it can be done they dont want to do it and thats that
So controller support is tough with arma 3. That I agree with. But as for the rest, not so much. We have had 4 or 5 people that have joined our discord server. We have showed them how easy it is to get the needed mods to play along side us (you don’t need any mods to enjoy arma if you don’t want to, we just choose the mods we use because it adds a lot of realism) We have a few people who really struggle with fps games and they have personally told me that they absolutely love this game now that they’re into it. None of the mods were using have more than 1 or 2 dependencies. If you’re interested in enjoying the game, I recommend joining our discord server and joining us for a game!
I was thinking for our next liberation we would try that one! The big question is though which map should we do for our next one ?? I was kind of thinking takisan.
Would you be welcoming some new friends to your game? Thank you for the video. I've been trying my hand at some different milsim servers and such but felt overwhelmed. I'm still trying to figure out a lot of basic controls for whatever reason I don't remember them. lol
What’s the best PVP to play? I’m coming. From arma reforger and I’m wanting to do KOTH but is there like a game mode that’s PVP with all out war with 2 sides?
That’s great question. I will have to look into this and maybe make a video in the future. But know that the AI in arma 3 is actually pretty fun to fight with. They make decisions that other games AI would never do. One of the main reasons I love arma is because of clever they were in development. Like if you put on sunglasses in the arsenal, you now have tinted vision, if you put on a blindfold, you guessed it, you first person view is now looking through a blindfold
@@ylsgaming that’s crazy, so what if I have 250 GB of space and I get the game with no DLC and that would put it around 200-180 GB left? Would that be enough for possibly DLC and mods or would I need to upgrade my GB. Im using a laptop that is as powerful as a really good PC.
@@abram4806 if you have 250gb hard drive, you would have plenty of room for all the dlc’s and mods. Most mods are less than a gb aside from full conversion mods.
If you like this kind of mod you should try the Liberation mod made by Tominator-007. It's not popular at all but it's by far the best Liberation I've ever played and it's been adaptated for a lot of maps
This Liberation mod is an improvement of the original mod made by KP. Everything has been enhanced to make the mod playable in solo or with few players. The mod has been configured to make the most of what Arma 3 has to offer. There are almost no dependencies to play it (except for maps from mods/dlc or factions from mods). If you want to play with your own selection of mods, you can do so without any issues. This mod is the best compromise between fun and realism. Everything is done to make the mission as realistic and coherent as possible without being boring. What I like the most is that Tominator has created unique secondary missions that you won't find in other mods and that have a real strategic interest. All I can advise you is to try it and form your own opinion, but personally, it's my favorite mission
I find that the mod is more enjoyable to play than Antistasi. It's typically the kind of mod that is simple to understand but hard to master. I also find it more accessible and rewarding for new players. There's no money system to manage; the resource system relies, initially, on crates to be collected and, subsequently, on the operation of factories.
When you create the server, you have to type a name on so it saves. Also I think the automatic save in the perameters is only set to every 60 mins. I switched mine to every 20 minutes. And lastly when you go to log out, go to the sign at HQ of the world map, stand in front of it and use scroll wheel to see the options. Select game options from there and there should be a interface save button called “persistent save”
@@ylsgaming okay I’ll do some more research. I have a name. I did do the persistent save, but didn’t let it autosave yet. So if I get off as the host will others still be able to jump on and play? They should right? Since it’s an internet server?
@@ylsgaming Yeah I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but I have saved it and named it and everything but I have to go in and host a new server every time. My saves are there when I load in but my server isn't staying there for people to join. 🤷♂
Yes that’s right, you’re hosting that server from your computer and just BROADCASTING over the internet. So when you shut down the server, it dies with you. You would have to rent a dedicated server from a company that rents servers for it to always be available for other to join. We just did exactly that on my discord channel (link is in the description) we have a group of positive people and we host a 24/7 dedicated server of antistasi. The war litterally carries on while you’re not online, it’s a cool aspect because a lot can change in a couple days on the map if you don’t get on
@@ylsgaming ah I see I misunderstood that part. Thanks for the replies! I’ll have to start with AI on very low difficulty because even on low I am getting beamed. 😂😂 thanks!
All you need to play this mode yourself is “antistasi - the mod” from the steam workshop. But if you want to play with us, we have a mod list available in our discord server that would sync your game to ours.
I got the port forward done and got my server up. my steam is live and all good but my friends cant find it threw the friends tab or just by looking down the list. idk why my server is not showing. Do you have any idea or maybe a link that might help? i have not found a video or anything online that solved this issue.
Make sure when you launch your server that you select “internet” and make sure the box is checked that says “UPNP” When I did that and left the port number alone when creating the server, I got a message saying “trying to port forward” and then it showed me the map selection which indicates the automatic port forwarding worked. It says failed to port forward if it doesn’t work and then you have to manually port forward through your modem. Let me know if this helps
@@ylsgaming i have all that done without any issues. its live and upnp no prob. but they cant see it or see me on friends. steam is set to open as well. iv even tryed no firewall to test still no luck
Have you friends go into their filter on the server list and make sure they have all the credentials your server has active such as a password. Just to make sure they would be able to see your server if your server is up and running properly. And also if they can’t find your server in the arma 3 main menu multiplayer, try having them look for your server in the arma launcher server browser instead
Both! In this video it’s just AI but in my other videos it’s other players mostly. We have a discord server with a great arma community and we just started our very own dedicated server! Be sure to check out the link in the description to get in on it
After watching your video i had to ry it myself. I created a server but my buddy could not join me or find the game at all. Same thing when he created a server. I thought it should be simple, just enter the IP steam is showing and join? We googled the ports arma3 needs and forwarded them but that didn't work either. Does anyone has an idea?
It definitely took me some serious trouble shooting to get things rolling. But since then our community has grown enough that it was time to rent a dedicated server. That being said, feel free to join our discord server and play on our 24 hour a day server! The link to join is in the description of my latest upload! It’s a great environment that doesn’t pass judgement on new players. The community was started to help eachother over the learning curve of getting into arma.
antistasi is the perfect game mode for arma. second to the Mike Force SOG game mode it made be the best. this is an important video as arma is also the most confusing fucking game ever lmao. id also recommend buying a server if you want a more stable experience to anyone going to try.
yeah you should be able to. We have members on the discord that are all over the world with horrible pings and they are able to play on our server with no problem. Be worth checking out my discord and seeing if you could play alongside us! We host a 24/7 Antistasi dedicated server
The antistasi mod? Litterally JUST antistasi. You can play the game mode with only that mod but you can also stack all your regular mods on top as well and it works fine
So the way it works is you have to loot enemy supplies. So you have to manage mags in your arsenal. But once you put have looted 25 of one mag, you will now have unlimited supply of that mag. Same goes with anything. Gear, guns, personal medkits. Once you’ve stolen 25 of any object and deposited into your arsenal, you’ll have unlimited for the remainder of your save game! I hope this info helps
@@IanezzieBuxton I think the starting guns have unlimited mags. Do you know where to find the mags? When you’re in the arsenal, you have to click on either your clothes, your vest or your backpack on the left side and if you look far right on the screen, you will see a little picture of some mags and explosives. That’s where you get your mags out of the arsenal. Let me know if this helps
In case you haven't found it - go to arsenal, pick your gun first, then click on a vest or backpack, now look to right side of screen, you'll see all items which can be placed in that vest or backpack, including mags for the weapon you chose.
This game truely is endless. I just got a slew of sound mods that work together and now the game is basically a sound wave simulator. The sound now echoes off buildings and mountains the way it should. It’s so satisfying to fire a rocket at a heli and hear the explosion a second after you see the impact.
i tried to do this but to no avail when hosting the server. hosting it was fine and it ported but he could not join or see the server. ive looked at every reddit post and article known to man. ive tried hamachi, zero tier, radmin. changing the port to 2932 not using upnp try to host with lan with all the previous mentioned (ex: hamachi). i can join him and he can join me on normal servers, but when i host or he does it doesnt work he cant see my server or join it . i have all my firewalls off ive port forwarded idk what else to do please help if you can.
Because I have my graphics optimized. Arms 3 offers an insane amount of graphical options. But not only that. If you look up some of the best graphical mods the modding community has built, you’d be pleasantly surprised how great the game can look. I’m big into graphics, and this 10 year old game lives up to todays graphical standards in my opinion

So far it feels like an incredible all round game mode for noobs and pros. We're almost done our video showcasing part 1 of our liberation on Sahrani
Cool, but how do I install the friends?
I've watched a couple of your videos on ARMA, and I have to say you're one of the best channels for basic tutorials. You keep it simple, you explain it well, you show us while you're doing something, and you show failure. Not in this video, but in another one where you were killed twice by enemies. I think that's a good thing, because it shows what can go wrong. You sir have earned another subscriber. I think it would be cool to see you guys livestream your games on Fridays, if you haven't already, I'll check and see later. Keep up the great work!

I have been intdrested 8n ARMA3 for years. Stayed away because of the overwhelming amount of mods and dlc. This seems to make it easy to drop in and get comfortable. Now im interested all over agin.
I love that I helped inspire you to get into it. I can honestly say for a 10 year old game, it’s still incredible and holds its own in todays standards
what do you mean ? you can just play the game vanilla ... also installing a mod is nothing
@viking6985 I understand where he is coming from. The game does make it easy to install mods which is great but it can be overwhelming when some mods don’t work or some contradict with others. And especially if you’re not familiar with modding. Arma overall is overwhelming for some people. That’s why I like sharing what little I know of it means helping others get into the game with a little less stress.
try invade & annex servers
Honestly, a great multiplayer mode that players somehow never liked was End Game, but only the ones that weren't Feres, feres was a bit too large of a scale for End Game IMO, End game Zaros, Kavala and Tanoa maps were amazing
Tell me more. Is it an AI game mode? Our arma community is only made up for 4 of us so far so we need AI based games to keep banking hours and learning how arma works on a larger scale. As we all know it’s a huge learning curve to get into the game, but what we do know so far has us super excited and eagerly awaiting our Friday night sessions
@@ylsgaming Hmm well no, it's primarily PvP, although it has both components
Basically:
Fairly quick matches (probs under 30 min for End Game Zaros, they can become longer as the scale increases)
2 Teams, objective is to find the location of an important intel device, then bring that device to a specific location and "upload" the contents of that device to win
In order to find out the location of that device teams need to do a few things that involve mostly PvE, firstly, they have to stablish an FOB, by clearing an AI outpost, then they have to go to specific locations and meet different objectives (also AI but common to both teams so they can face each other) which can be clearing an area, interacting with something (like, just get in, grab something and leave) , downloading data from a laptop (for which you need to stay in the vicinity of said laptop for a while, the closer you are the faster teh download, the more people you have with connection the faster as well), some objectives can be completed by both teams, some others cannot or one team might disable it (in the laptop case you can shoot the laptop) after doing it themsevles to prevent enemy from gaining anything from the objective
Each objective also gives you access to different gear at FOB, either accessories, vehicles, weapons etc
Once a team finds the info on the important device, both teams can gather the device and upload it (each team on a different location, upload works similar to laptop download ruleset) to win, the team that first meets enough objectives can see the initial position on map, once someone picks the device they are marked on map as long as they stand out in the open (won't be marked if traveling beneath trees or inside buildings), enemy team has to prevent them from coming close to their upload point, steal the item and travel to their own upload point themselves
End game Zaros is 8 people, 4 per team, pretty quick and small scale, Kavala was 16, Feres 32, I don't really like Feres cause there's too much going on for the kind of game mode, makes no sense to have IFVs, APCS and whatnot IMO for this kind of game mode, but that's each to their own, something that the Altis layouts have in common is each time starts on opposing sides with the objectives in the middle, some objectives usually belonging to fixed teams since they are closer, something I loved about Tanoa layouts is it was more similar to a race, they both started roughly from the same location, and "raced" each other for the same objectives, you have to ballance out how much you wann clash with the opposite team in order to still advance and do your thing, disrupting enemy ops was more viable than in Altis maps as to slow them down and gain an advantage
@@ylsgamingthis mod is definitely PVE
@@ylsgaming It is a mixed game mode. 4x4 8x8 each side fight through a city, searching for Intel in ceratin spots. You need to clean the AI and collect data. The team who catch all files first gets the advantage
After all that they get the location for upload this data and win the match. The other team can pursue to steal and upload to win
It is indeed a great game mode

Hello, this is great but you didn't say how to find my server once exit, and how can my friend join me.
You’ve just got to host a antistasi server and where you hit new game there should be an option to load your saved game

You should for sure check them out. Its essentially antistasi but you're playing as the liberators but have to run logistical missions after capturing supply depos to recruit men and vehicles
@@ylsgaming

Subbed, Great Content mate
Thank you. Working on the story of our first antistasi war now.

This game mode supports MANY faction mods. I’m sure you could find something you like
Great video, if only I could figure out how to join friends servers 😂
I hoping my controller preset will work almost perfectly to play editor created campaigns as im also looking to create a campaign here soon reforger on xbox sucks constantly crashing no more modern mods sadly since bohemia favors pc over consoles instead out valuing both 😢
Of over Xbox any day. However reforged is still a bit glitchy on pc. I’m going to have to upgrade my pc if I want to be able to enjoy reforger
invade and annex is good, same with insurgency game modes
I’ll have to try those! I’m doing one more run of antistasi and then going to switch it up
For some reason Arma 3 is the only military sim i'm good in.
My friend that finds a lot of fps shooters overwhelming and difficult said the same thing. He loves arma
Well this video wasn't designed for people who are experienced with arma my guy
i kinda want to join, but i cant stay for long, like lets say a month.
i´m getting back into arma 3
Join the discord!
We have showed them how easy it is to get the needed mods to play along side us (you don’t need any mods to enjoy arma if you don’t want to, we just choose the mods we use because it adds a lot of realism)
We have a few people who really struggle with fps games and they have personally told me that they absolutely love this game now that they’re into it. None of the mods were using have more than 1 or 2 dependencies.
If you’re interested in enjoying the game, I recommend joining our discord server and joining us for a game!
Try Antistasi plus. Adds some cool missions and assets
I was thinking for our next liberation we would try that one! The big question is though which map should we do for our next one ?? I was kind of thinking takisan.
Any advice for noobs?
I'm gonna buy a PC soon
as a arma vet, use Antistasi plus not the old version of the mod its buggy in the late game

If you like this kind of mod you should try the Liberation mod made by Tominator-007. It's not popular at all but it's by far the best Liberation I've ever played and it's been adaptated for a lot of maps
Why is it the best?
Yes please tell us why it’s the best. I love finding hidden gems within arma!
I created a server but after leaving I can’t find it to continue playing where I left off… any ideas?
😂😂 thanks!
Do I have to keep hosting a new server and will my progress still be saved if I do?
@@andrewarechiga4092 it saves as long as you use the map to persistent save
Does it work with mods like RHS if you don't like vanilla?
it sure does. It works with pretty much all mods
I committed at 3:50 do you need any of the DLC
No you don’t! I’m sorry, I thought I replied to this weeks ago.
quick question....can i play arma 3 in my laptop that uses ryzen 5 5500u and 8gb ram (3200mhz)??
That would be a question best answered by google.
do you just need the Vanilla ARMA3? or do you need any of the DLC?
All you need to play this mode yourself is “antistasi - the mod” from the steam workshop. But if you want to play with us, we have a mod list available in our discord server that would sync your game to ours.
I got the port forward done and got my server up. my steam is live and all good but my friends cant find it threw the friends tab or just by looking down the list. idk why my server is not showing. Do you have any idea or maybe a link that might help? i have not found a video or anything online that solved this issue.
Make sure when you launch your server that you select “internet” and make sure the box is checked that says “UPNP”
When I did that and left the port number alone when creating the server, I got a message saying “trying to port forward” and then it showed me the map selection which indicates the automatic port forwarding worked.
And also if they can’t find your server in the arma 3 main menu multiplayer, try having them look for your server in the arma launcher server browser instead
they have still yet to come back lol. hopefully it will work. solo is hard i can only do the random trucks with 5 guys. @@ylsgaming
@201mxflyboy201 we’re on a dedicated server now. You and your friends can come play anytime!
Are there ai you can have fighting with you or only players?
Both! In this video it’s just AI but in my other videos it’s other players mostly. We have a discord server with a great arma community and we just started our very own dedicated server! Be sure to check out the link in the description to get in on it
@@ylsgaming If it weren't for the 200+ ping I'd get, I'd definitely check it out! But it can be a pain playing on such high ping 😂
here we go again. when I go to mods it is blank. what do i have to do for mods to show. thanks
It’s what breakpoint tried so hard to be. Arma just does it all right. Good video they should hire you as promotion it would kill
Hey all they gotta do is give me a call and I’ll join their promotion team haha
hi, i want to play on altis but i dont have Ki Enemys, why?
I’ve been trying to install the SOG prairie fire dlc but it doesn’t download. It just starts and freezes at 1% then restarts
I haven’t tried prairie fire yet. I’m sorry but I don’t have any information that might help you with your issue. Maybe your hard drive is full?
@@ylsgaming I figured it out. Thanks a lot tho!
Wish it was on the newer engine. I play with a controller.
You must be playing reforger
@@ylsgaming Thanks for the invite, just joinded your discord and found your server. I'm from germany so the ping of 150 ms is not very suprising :/
antistasi is the perfect game mode for arma. second to the Mike Force SOG game mode it made be the best. this is an important video as arma is also the most confusing fucking game ever lmao. id also recommend buying a server if you want a more stable experience to anyone going to try.
Our community is growing so rapidly that we did actually just buy a server. We now have a 24/7 server
Yo after I was in the game I had to restart to apply settings. How do I get back to my game when I’m on server browser

if im playing solo can i make the server lan since i have really bad internet it took me 3 hours to download arma 3
nvm i can now im tryna figure out how to play the mod on chernarus since i know that map well
yeah you should be able to. We have members on the discord that are all over the world with horrible pings and they are able to play on our server with no problem. Be worth checking out my discord and seeing if you could play alongside us! We host a 24/7 Antistasi dedicated server
How do I invite friends?
Were do.u find this model?
Steam workshop
what are your specs?
Intel i5 with a GTX1070. And of course arma is installed on a SSD, that’s crucial for performance
What dlcs do you need to play this ?
The antistasi mod? Litterally JUST antistasi. You can play the game mode with only that mod but you can also stack all your regular mods on top as well and it works fine
Thanks for the info :) Im buying arma 3 rn haha @@ylsgaming
Can I play this mod on standard Arma 3 Steam ??
Yep

are there servers that are chihll and easy to learn to join?
Very much so! Join the discord link in the description of my most recent upload
I’ve unloaded all my mods but every time I try to play this mod all the guns in the arsenal have no ammo any ideas what’s wrong?
So the way it works is you have to loot enemy supplies. So you have to manage mags in your arsenal. But once you put have looted 25 of one mag, you will now have unlimited supply of that mag. Same goes with anything. Gear, guns, personal
medkits. Once you’ve stolen 25 of any object and deposited into your arsenal, you’ll have unlimited for the remainder of your save game! I hope this info helps
Thank you I thought you would start with at least 1 mag
@@IanezzieBuxton I think the starting guns have unlimited mags. Do you know where to find the mags? When you’re in the arsenal, you have to click on either your clothes, your vest or your backpack on the left side and if you look far right on the screen, you will see a little picture of some mags and explosives. That’s where you get your mags out of the arsenal. Let me know if this helps
In case you haven't found it - go to arsenal, pick your gun first, then click on a vest or backpack, now look to right side of screen, you'll see all items which can be placed in that vest or backpack, including mags for the weapon you chose.
i’d have a lot more fun in the vietnam mode but it isn’t optimized after all this time
I still haven’t tried prairie fire
@@ylsgaming 100% worth if you think you’ll get 60 fps .
@@TRIS77_ I can get 60-100 fps until we attack an airbase and blastcore is going crazy
I dabbled about 400hrs, im still a noob lol. Between the workshop, and the controls, this game seems endless.
This game truely is endless. I just got a slew of sound mods that work together and now the game is basically a sound wave simulator. The sound now echoes off buildings and mountains the way it should. It’s so satisfying to fire a rocket at a heli and hear the explosion a second after you see the impact.
must i have internet why cannot i have lan bc when i do internet everything its just doesent work
I'm not sure
Could I play this mode solo?
You sure can. All you need is the antistasi mod from the steam workshop
i tried to do this but to no avail when hosting the server. hosting it was fine and it ported but he could not join or see the server. ive looked at every reddit post and article known to man. ive tried hamachi, zero tier, radmin. changing the port to 2932 not using upnp try to host with lan with all the previous mentioned (ex: hamachi). i can join him and he can join me on normal servers, but when i host or he does it doesnt work he cant see my server or join it . i have all my firewalls off ive port forwarded idk what else to do please help if you can.
Man that’s frustrating. I wish I could help you but there is something weird happening for him not to be able to join. Are you on vanilla server ?
no we are trying to run antistasi just with the addons @@ylsgaming

Why do the graphics look great when it's Arma 3?
Because I have my graphics optimized. Arms 3 offers an insane amount of graphical options. But not only that. If you look up some of the best graphical mods the modding community has built, you’d be pleasantly surprised how great the game can look. I’m big into graphics, and this 10 year old game lives up to todays graphical standards in my opinion
