1. hello handsome boy (fr tho, looking good king) 2. I believe this video is more important than most "Beginner's Mistake" videos. Seriously, an extremely good guide. Great video, a staple in the quality growth of your channel.
Touching a grassy field is great, but to really refresh, you need to touch every tile IRL: poke a mountain, caress a cloud, jump into the ocean, and nudge algae
Love the face reveal! I have showed your channel to some friends I have introduced Polytopia to, and this video is perfect. Covers everything from beginner to expert mistakes, and points out that experience is a huge factor. The unwinnability of some games and having a “never give up” attitude are SUPER important points that beginners and intermediate players don’t always see
Eyy face reveal, nice! I don't know why, but with your voice I supposed you would have had a beard for some reason haha. I guess you just sound very mature :)
Life is good, thank you for asking. I have two more semesters of college and then it's Cybersecurity time. Poly has undergone a lot of changes, lately the naval update. Diplomacy is also somewhat new
Hey man, cool video as always. Just to say, I like the facecam, but next time I think it would be a good idea to put it a bit further from your face. Keep up the good work :)
Hey GullYY, great video as usual. Video idea: Resource and terrain spawn conditions/multipliers for each tribe, and how it might influence your play style. I think it would familiarise newer players with what many of us might consider basic facts, while also definitely being informative for more experienced players.
Duuude you look like you could be one of the Green brothers We must be careful introducing the new era of Gully Green to the UA-cams, it may be too epic to handle
Can you make a video abt the map spawning rates? I’ve noticed some patterns, but it’s hard to consistently guess village spawns and resource reliability For a tribe with no starting resource, like oumaji or aquarion, how do you know which tech to go?
Keys to victory Phase 1. Rapid expansion, positioning is everything in this game Phase 2. Eyesight, Eyesight, Eyesight. Its pivotal to planning. Always plan for worst case scenario to prevent being opened up. Phase 3. Build up borders/eco. defenders are best unit in game. Only losing matchup is mind bender. Use for zone of control or actual defender walls in giant rush. Usually i sprint for catapults and defenders in this phase Imperius is very very flexible tribe Phase 4 Defence to offence, build up your border like a wave and crash down on your enemies. Do not over extend. recognize when a loss is a loss and redraw border line defence Attack to kill only. Often times attacking without killing can be a mistake. Think it through My general rule of thumb for economy is if stars per turn is less than double the turn number, you are behind the ball. 3x turn number is likely winning outside largest maps. Economy is not everything, positioning is. This info will help you understand your positioning in pecking order better than the point system. When fighting, always try and keep it simple, by that i mean 1 front wars is winning. If your opponent can only attack from one direction they are crippled, this requires planning ahead positioning is king I am 1600+ elo after 70 some games. I play 4 and 9 player free for alls and have around a 80% win rate over last 30 games. Use bots to your advantage, online bots are very friendly and can be weaponized, they will ride of die with you Most important. Supers are very overrated. Giants are probably worth ~15 stars early on. Late game maybe 10 Use the popytopia calculators to figure out most efficent killing strategies
Reason 8 definitely applied when i spawned as Cymanti on a 1 village island with my Polaris opponent spamming me with icy sleds all game until i just resigned lol literally NOTHING i could do 😮💨
Have you ever done a guide specifically for Oumaji? As a total cheapskate, i only ever play with the 4 free tribes on Mobile, and of the 4, i find my win chances with oumaji are a complete roll of the dice. It's hard because their economy is difficult to build up, and often requires a heavy investment in technology early on, which means spreading my units too thin to defend my cities, leaving me heavily reliant on ancient ruins. Any tips on how to get more consistent performance with them?
you look exactly like you sound haha also it's strange to think i've watched you long enough to remember the voice reveal and now be here for the face reveal
This comment might not be noticee but.. Fun Fact! I disagree on Gullyy that Double Sword Vengir strategy is bad. It is a crucial stratergy when the enemies is near or during the Early Game like Turn 0-2
The way i jumped at the Gullyy jumpscare

@@GullYYGamer hey I stand by what I said
I just saw that the aquarion tribe was changed, and I think it looks good (so far) and I can’t wait to see what you think about it!
I got a video up now covering it but the short answer is I think the changes are really awesome and makes Aquarion much more fun to play!
4:20 GullYY totally didn't follow this tip in his Xin-Xi video

Hey Gullyy, great video as always. Been a fan for years now, nice face reveal👍
Balancing, thats the one!
That cymanti gameplay would make me rage so hard
could tou explain how the polytopia turn timer works? I don’t understand why it goes up/down?
The short answer is that the total amount of time you get each turn depends on the number of cities and units you have

Why polytopia champions live only had 10 viewers
If don’t have any technology to upgrade my city I check around it to see what would be the most useful
