    Hope you guys enjoy this video! Wanted to show the "non-glamorous" side of camping in the winter. Sometimes not the most amazing spots are found, but we still make it work.
    Enjoy!

    As a fellow Taco owner, that has to be one of the most esthetically beautiful set ups I’ve ever seen. Well done 👏🏼

    Sometimes those parking areas make the best camp spots. Good to see you and Odi out and about. He probably missed making videos as much as we missed watching them!

      They really do! A forest ranger and Idaho Sheriff both drove by and looked at me like I was crazy but didn't give me any trouble. Luckily this spot had a smaller snow berm blocking it so I was able to plow through it.
      It was amazing having Odi back for a trip. Missed him dearly and he enjoyed getting back out with me :)

    At first I thought you were doing a cold plunge but then I saw the steam at the end. Which one was it, you got more self control than me if it was cold haha

    Hey Hunter. Great video. Idaho is amazing. Who makes the rock lights you use on your Tacoma? Have they been a good choice for your needs?

      Diode dynamics make them. They are nice for sure!

    What kind of clips did you use for the Starlink cable? I need those. :-) Thanks!! Oh, I love the video. Please keep them coming!

    • @hunter_pauley
      @hunter_pauley  7 місяців тому

      Thanks for the watch!
      They are actually 3D printed clips from Etsy. Do you already have the mount for the starlink and just looking to purchase the clips?

    • @wanderingtrailrider
      @wanderingtrailrider 7 місяців тому

      @@hunter_pauley I already have the mount for the dish with the wire just dangling.. ughhhh!! I do have the Alu-cab canopy camper. It doesn't have the side channels. So I doubt those clips would work for me. :-(

    • @hunter_pauley
      @hunter_pauley  7 місяців тому +1

      Ahh yea these are made for the track on the SP. You you would maybe have to look and see if you can do a clip for the track that's on top of the alucab.@@wanderingtrailrider

    Do you have a Carbon Monoxide alarm in there? I have a similar set up and am curious about using the stove in there to boil water nice and quick. Cheers!

    • @hunter_pauley
      @hunter_pauley  7 місяців тому

      Yes I do! The jet boil will raise it a small amount for sure but it is usually never enough. The PPM of C02 need to get pretty high before it became a large concern.

  • @Horlokx

    Sweet! Was it an actual hot spring? Or more like a cold plunge? That is pretty sick. I don't think up here in Wisconsin they do

    • @hunter_pauley
      @hunter_pauley  7 місяців тому

      Actually hot springs! The bottom of the pools are slightly colder but still warm enough to sit in and not freeze. Right next to the falls it’s actually almost too hot to touch.

    • @Horlokx

    What are your highway mpgs with the set up you have? Going for something exactly like that?

    • @hunter_pauley
      @hunter_pauley  7 місяців тому

      Really depends on the conditions aka wind and hills, but on average I can get 11-15mpg. Driving over 65-70 is where it really starts to tank.

      Nope! Tried to line up a place in Kalispell but my lease in Missoula is impossible to break without paying an insane amount. Sticking it out here but have quite a bit of travel coming up.
      Should be in the Kalispell area by early May.

    Bro, a pudgy pie pizza!!!?!?!?!??? That’s absolutely incredible, that’s my kind of camp food. Do you use these camp trips as a cheat meal?

    • @hunter_pauley
      @hunter_pauley  7 місяців тому

      Haha first time making them! Super good and really easy to make/clean up.
      Usually I don't eat too much on these days and really dinner is one of the "bigger meals". Lately been difficult keeping weight on which is the opposite of what I want happening right now!

      I was born in Fort Bragg so thats really the most northern I've been. I might be working my way over to California soon though and really want to visit the Redwoods up north.
