I am making my 3rd one in about 4 weeks, love this, soo warm. Thank you for inspiring me and your voice is soo Sweet and easy to listen on my ears and soul. Love you. I make your slouchy knitted sweater cardigan too. Love you.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! This is my favourite ever pattern. It has turned out slightly different from yours - but I LOVE IT! I WISH I could share a photo. I went for the 2nd size in pattern. I am UK size 16. I used LionBrand Heartland (love the flow of this yarn) - AND added tassels around the rim and sleeves. My cardigan has ended up being to my knees (tassels to top of calves). Such a flowing item of clothing. I have now made two (they are quick to make!) - had so many compliments. I LOVE your cast on technique - really does stop the seam bunching - AND this stand alone DC is wonderful. Thank you again for your amazing pattern and tutorial xx
Just wonderful! Last week I bought 4 skeins of yarn... And is just the same yarn! 🤗 Only mine is blue 👍🏼... Now I know how to do my vest!!! But longer. Thanks!!! 🤗👍🏼🌺
Here I am crocheting a hanging toilet paper towel holder and I like to watch either knitting or crochet videos. You're voice is calming to watch/listen too. I've never done the foundation double crochet stitch right before but thank you so much for your detailed instructions! So glad to have found your channel and subscribed.
Thank you SO much for the new crochet skills like the wonderful foundation chain and the chainless beginning DC. Two things that have always bugged me are the first row on a chain and the chain three at the beginning of a row. xoxo
I made the panels earlier this summer but I was afraid to block it. I bought a steamer and blocked it and sewed it up today. I made it with this same yarn that you used and it came out great! I am so excited. I am going to make a few more. I have some of the other red heart colors and I want one in black and white so I will be going to purchase that today or tomorrow. This is an awesome pattern!!!
Been crocheting for along time but never heard of the chain-less starting. Very cool. You are very talented. Very easy to understand your instructions.
Woo hoo my first time ever trying that first row chain row.....and after 5 or 6 stitches l had down pat...so off l went....now totrythat first stitch twisty stitch..but looks pretty easy......l am making mine in green apple ombre......its really green...lol
You sound very young but you do beautiful consistent stitches, I loving this pattern. You also teach the beginning double stitch very well! Thank you I'm gonna give this a try
Beautiful!! I started making one panel and it was too short for me by a lot, so I’ll frog it and make it around 150 stitches long. Again, beautiful pattern for sure!
I love this! Thank you for such a straight forward tutorial. It seemed to work up fast and easy. This kimono will make lovely gifts. I was a little intimidated by the foundation/first row starting chain and the double stitch turning chain until you showed how EASY they really are. I’m now going to start all my projects like this...thank you so much.
Hi from Ireland thanks for this it's a gorgeous pattern, such a great idea, I will make for myself first then do for friends as gifts, I was wondering could it be sized down for a child, thanks so much your very talented ,it's great to see someone young so gifted, I am 71years young, xx
Hi Deborah. Yes, you could size this down for a child. You'll need to start with an odd number of stitches, making your panel twice as wide as you want the cardigan length to be from shoulder to hem. Then, work the rows of the pattern until your piece is more than 1/4 the chest measurement when measured from the foundation edge to the top of the last row. I hope this helps!
I also want to make this for children. My 9 year old grandaughter asked for one and I'm sure her four sisters will want one too. Problem is she doesn't live near me so I can't measure her and I don't know if they will understand where I'm asking them to measure
Hi Ruth. If you aren't able to measure the recipients, you could just ask them for their clothing sizes. Then, you could go by the Craft Yarn Council's standard body measurements for each size. www.craftyarncouncil.com/standards/child-youth-sizes Keep in mind that those are body measurements, not measurements for the finished garments, so I would recommend making the finished chest measurement of the cardigan a bit larger than the measurements given. You could take the chest measurement in the size chart, add at least 6 inches, and divide the total by 4. This would give you the finished height (from foundation edge to top row) to work for each panel. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any more questions. :)
If you wanted to make this cardigan with #1 Superfine yarn and a different hook size, I would not recommend attempting to change the pattern unless you feel comfortable altering patterns on your own. The hook size you use would depend on which size gave you the drape and feel you want in the fabric with your own personal crochet gauge. You would also need to recalculate the stitch counts and row counts based on your gauge with that hook and yarn to make the pattern work with that yarn. I hope this helps!
I am a not so confident advanced beginner with the same question about using a fingering weight yarn . Can you tell me how your project turned out? What adjustments did you make?
Thank you so much for the new stitches....and this will be my favorite summer outerwear bc it is almost like a shaw without the hassle of keeping it straight and long enough for a poncho feeling also. Love it.
You did an amazing job on this tutorial!❤️❤️❤️ I was looking for an easy summer cover-up to wear over my camisoles and this is really nice and DEFINITELY EASY! 👍 I may try to make one although I'd like one a little more airy/breezy for summer since I'm so hot natured. Thanks so much for taking the time to teach how to do this. Your are very clear and concise with your instructions and your voice is rather calming. Btw... You now have a new fan/subscriber. Until next time... Cheers! 😊
I just finished this cardigan and I love it!! It was quick and easy. I made mine in Red Heart Ombre in the Anemone color. The second group of sizes. Thank you so much ❤️😍💕!!
The hardest part about this is learning the foundation row and the 1st standing stitch..lol.. I've been crocheting for years and never saw this before. Thanks for teaching it and for this pattern.
So pretty and I'm not afraid to try it! Your voice is calming and directions are very easy to understand. Thank you so much for all the time and effort it takes to make a quality tutorial. 🌹☺️ 🐝
Awesome top, I've been looking for something of this type to make thank you. Plus thanks for the turning information too I can use it on other projects. 💞💞💞
I’ve never crocheted a garment before but I think I’ll give this one a try...once I get some of my WIPs done! ☺️ Edit: How did you make sure the color change in your yarn matched at the back seam?
I would try to either find two skiens that have the same color at the start of them and use one for each panel, or use only one skien that has the same color at both ends (check the tail on the outside, and the tail on the inside while you’re at the store to see if they start with the same color). The only other way I can think of would be to use a ball winder and wind up approx half the skien, attempting to split the skien at the middle of a color transition. Then, use the ends you cut apart as your starting tails. Use the winder to wind up each half into two, equal-sized skiens to work from. I’m sure you can cut out a color transition when you’re finished with the first panel to make sure you start on the same color, but that would waste a bunch of yarn. Hope this helps. I’m super curious to find out how she did it!
Hi Robin! I actually did not try to make the color change match at the seam. It just so happened that one panel in Size 1 used up about 1 color repeat in this yarn. If you want to make sure the colors match, the suggestions offered by Aurora Alchemy in the previous reply are good methods. Hope this helps!
Hi Tess! All of the measurements for all sizes of this project are included in the free written pattern. Please see the link in the description box for the free written pattern. Thanks!
All of the stitch counts and information needed to make all 9 sizes are given in the written pattern. You can view the free version of the written pattern by visiting the first link in the video description. I hope this helps!
Thank you for awesome tutorial and pattern I really like it....I want to give this a try but I don't understand how many stitches to start with for the 4x,5x??
Hi Sheryl! All of the stitch counts and instructions for the other sizes not shown in the video are available in the free written pattern. You will find the free pattern by clicking the link in the description box. Hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions!
Hi Marci! Either side of the work could be used as the right side. As for sewing the seam, it's just a whip stitch, so it doesn't matter whether you stitch from the right side or the wrong side of the panels. I stitched my seams from the right side. Hope this helps!
Hi Mary! Just decide how long you want the cardigan to be from shoulder to hem, and double that measurement. That is how long you want each panel to be. The stitch pattern requires an odd number of stitches. So you'll need to choose an odd number of stitches that will give you the length you want for your total stitch count. You can then make the row of foundation double crochet with that number of stitches, and follow the pattern as normal to finish each panel. I hope this helps!
Hi! The amount of yarn required for each size is included in the free written pattern, which you can view by visiting the first link in the video description. I hope this helps!
Hi Joan! Yes, you could make a ruana from this pattern. Just add more rows to each panel (to make them wider), and don't sew up the side seams. I hope this helps!

Beauty full work I am going to try thanks GBU
Like the way you explain the pattern
Cute cardigan! Thanks for sharing!
Very nice and easy pattern, i have yarn category 1, which hook size should i use, i want to crochet cardigan size 2?
If you wanted to make this cardigan with #1 Superfine yarn and a different hook size, I would not recommend attempting to change the pattern unless you feel comfortable altering patterns on your own. @@YayForYarn please can you tell me the multiple of it so i can adjust it to my gauge
Your stitch count needs to be an odd number, so the multiple is 2+1.
@@YayForYarn thank you sooo much 🥰
I am a not so confident advanced beginner with the same question about using a fingering weight yarn . Can you tell me how your project turned out? What adjustments did you make?
Thank you for your very clear tutorial . Very. Beautiful sea foam cardigan, I will try to crochet one for myself.

Beautiful thank you💕
I just finished this cardigan and I love it!! It was quick and easy. I made mine in Red Heart Ombre in the Anemone color. The second group of sizes. Thank you so much ❤️😍💕!!
Rebecca Stacey how many skeins did it take you to do the second group sizes?
Cool cardigan. This is going to be a Wip in a sec. Love it.♥️

Thank you 💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋
Beautifully presented, and a lovely pattern. Thankyou !
Hello I’ve watched your tutorial on continental knitting I’m still getting my hands around it lol but yes it is a lot quicker
So lovely!
Thanks for all you do. I’ll be trying this!!!
Love this pattern...What are the multiples? I would love to make this, but want to make it longer..
Hi Diane! If you'd like to adjust the length, just start with an odd number of stitches that gives you the length you want. I hope this helps!
Thanks mam. I like this😍😍😍😍
Amazing❤
Would this also work with a size hook which is smaller than 8 mm ? I can’t get on with large hook sizes. It’s a great pattern
If you feel comfortable altering patterns to be worked at a different gauge, then yes, it could be done with a smaller hook size. I hope this helps!

Vc começa com quantas correntes ? Com quantas correntes faço o tamanho G G ? Obrigada
This is so pretty, you explain everything so well. I want to make this, I'm not sure about which yarn I want to use yet, thank you!
On row 4 is stitch count correct? It seems there should be fewer stitches but a number of ch-1 spaces? Thanks a bunch.
I’ve never crocheted a garment before but I think I’ll give this one a try...once I get some of my WIPs done! ☺️

Harika, paylaşım için teşekkürler.
Thank you for the video. 😀
Is this in multiples of 3, so if I wanted it to fall above the knee? Thanks!
Hi. To adjust the length, you'll need to use an odd number of stitches for your total stitch count. I hope this helps!

Can i make more chains if i want to make it long?
Yes, you can start with any odd number of stitches in your row. I hope this helps!
Very nice!!
Would a finishing border on the lower side be appropriate?
Hi Anna! Yes, you could add a border around the hem if you like. :)
Yay For Yarn thank you 😊
When you sew the panels together, are the panels facing you on the wrong side or the right side?
Hi Marci! Either side of the work could be used as the right side. As for sewing the seam, it's just a whip stitch, so it doesn't matter whether you stitch from the right side or the wrong side of the panels. I stitched my seams from the right side. Hope this helps!
