Cheap cariers make flying afordable for everybody. Not the greatest comfort or service, but they do what they're supposed to do. Bring you from A to B at a low cost. I see these carriers as some sort of bus company, only through air. Personally i would go for a bit more expensive on longer travels, but for domestic or short European flights, these carriers are a welcome treat. (and even cheaper than driving to your destination by car for example)
I’ve been on short haul budget flights, and they are nowhere as bad as this, I’ve been on Air Asia and they still have better leg room and full tray table. Same with WestJet, and they have inflight TV as well. Spirit just tries to be unnecessarily cheap
I've been on spirit and to be honest I cant call them awful. Their service isn't horrible and doesn't deserve the hate. The big front seats are competitive and comfy, the crew is amazing, and economy isn't horrible
Flown in spirit many times. Never a major issue. They are upgrading the seats to a more comfortable pre reclined version with better padding and bigger tray tables. Been in the exit row a few times and legroom is great there. I am only 5'8" so it's never a huge issue anyways. Took one flight round trip Cleveland-LAX for $40. Cant complain.
Bro tbh Spirit is more like a greyhound bus that flies. I lay like 40 dollars round trip, and just take my backpack. Since I go to college in Fort lauderdale literally the perfect airline to take when I want to visit family on short notice. Everyone who gets on knows what they're paying for lmao.
you take it for those quick unplanned visits to see family for one or two hours max going to secondary cities. I took southwest from Baltimore to Boston to see family and it was convenient because they have several flights leaving every other hour, traditional airlines don’t fly like that and I needed the convenience, cheaper flight to leave late as possible or cancel if the event took longer then expected when coming back to DC.
Spirit isn't a terrible airline, you get what you paid for, but on my last flight from ACY to MCO, i first tried spirit's new cabin, and it isn't perfect, but they improved it such as a bigger tray table, more legroom from the relocated newspaper holder, and a little bit more padding, but its mostly routes here in ACY.
The small tray table doesn't make sense to me because I think it would discourage people from buying the food and drink. It's my understanding that onboard sales is a source of profit for ULCCs like Spirit. So wouldn't Sprit want to have normal sized tray tables to encourage people to buy more?
i sat in the big seat w spirit airlines from Dallas to Cancun and back, it’s a pretty good seat ngl, good legroom and you can work on your laptop, but if your riding w spirit I’d recommend buying drinks or snacks before getting on the plane, drinks and snacks are expensive tbh
I’ve heard some bad things about Spirit, and I always heard they were like Ryanair, but worse 😮 By the way, 9:26, am I the only one who thinks European airports should have something like this? I've watched all of the tripreports done in the US on this channel, and I noticed that many airports in the US got some kind of a mural with the name of the city in it and I actually really like that 🙂
I flew Spirit Burbank to Chicago via Las Vegas. Had big front seat BUR-LAS and standard seat LAS-ORD. First flight up front was perfectly fine. Second flight ok but more challenging. Had a very disruptive passenger who would not stay masked and did not try to help his young son keep masked. Very patient Flight Attendant tried to calmly remind the dad of the rules. By the third time he had to be former. I admired his self control. That aside, it wasn't that bad. I hot safely from A to B to C. However, one can get nickel and dimed until the fair comes close to that if a legacy airline.
Lol, being that is my home airport and that you can see any fireworks at this time of the night from any of Central Florida’s parks, this def is a cool prospective of a flight from Orlando, even if it is from 2019. :)
I work at an airport and Spirit is notorious for cancelling flights. So If you don't mind waiting an extra day to catch your flight Spirit is the airline for you.
When you buy a airline ticket for $10 knowing full well it's a low cost airline, and you expect first class service. Lowcost airlines are great for business travelers or if you're looking for a cheap flight from point A to point B.
Air Choice One is a fun little commuter airline flying 8-seater Cessna turboprops for cheap between Chicago/O'Hare, St. Louis, and a select few small towns in the Midwest (like my childhood town of Burlington, IA).
Thanks David for your simple and clear English. You can easily be understood by people who are not native English speakers. Thanks again and thanks for your work!
I'm not a huge Spirit fan, as they delayed my flight once by six hours with little explanation. BUT...at least Spirit's staff are usually friendly. They're better, compared to the rude, horrible service I've received before on Southwest Airlines.
Well… not a comfortable plane but hey it gets you from point A to point B safely. I was so put off by the airline because a few years ago they had massive delays.
Spirit is what it is. A cheap no thrills way to get from point a to point b where any additional luxury you will have to pay for . I recently flew them from Los Angeles back to Columbus and it was fine. I usually Delta they of course have the more comfortable seats free in flight entertainment and complimentary snacks and beverages. It all comes down to preference and what you're wanting to pay for the in-flight experience
Flown Spirit once from New York to California and back a few years ago. No TVs or inflight entertainment but it got me from point A to point B. About 6 hours of flight time each way!
Here's a fact. Both Frontier and Spirit has very tight legroom and when you place a personal bag under your seat, it makes your legroom even tighter than it already is. Tray table is almost as big as a standard 13 inch MacBook Air
Once, I booked from San Salvador to FLL looking forward to hear the IAE V2500 sound since it was scheduled a A321. But then they changed the aircraft to an A320-271... At least on that flight, the Big Front Seat was available and I got upgraded at the airport for $30! Since the flight was a red eye it worth it I gues...Nice video, old but accurate!
Is Sprite Airline even safe to travel to Florida to Purto Rico I’m kind of nervous I’m traveling to Purto Rico with my family and I. Don’t now if it’s safe or not.
Spirit is like riding the bus and train there are good days that are fast and no issues but others with delays and takes forever. Also the ones who complain about Spirit don't know how to travel with this airline if you take a bag and haven't paid for it they will charge you a lot more when online it's cheap to do so. I have also heard people complain about the seats this airline like any other doesn't charge for the seats unless you want first class or a bigger seat.
Yikes! The legroom was dreadful! That's however what you've got to expect with ultra low-cost carriers. But I do know just a low-cost carrier that has the same 28 inches of pitch as Spirit does, it's Jetstar on their reconfigured A321s. Their A320s though have a more spacious 29 though. Great review on Spirit!
I've never had a problem with Spirit, not sure why everyone is complaining. The secret is to get a seat by the emergency exit, you can stretch out your legs there.
They're fairly okay when they do fly, their planes are actually quite modern for American standards, but they just leave you stranded when you're flight gets cancelled. And I've made both experiences with them.
Hi our traveler who is a person that visit all of the states also as country and shared a real flight experience from our contactable home with a such great video quality and also all details are sharing with us
Because it’s cheap. Comes down to price and who’s willing to pay. Most will acknowledge it isn’t good but it is cheap so they’ll complain after they get off.
I'm not sure why this is considered a "low cost" carrier. When I search for flights and come across Spirit, the fares are always comprable to the major 3, sometimes more expensive. I've never seen a cheap flight to any destination that I've ever searched for.
i dont understand why people who record flight trip review videos post their video like 2 years after the trip like this video was record in aug 2019, why post in in sept 2021?
I've flown them four times so far, all flights are on time staff were just fine come planes are just a little crammed. I'm about to fly them again in a couple of weeks.
I don’t recommend Spirit, they have the worst economy class seats and don’t have good legroom, service and tray table size. If your flying spirit. Always choose the big front seats. Also they are wider easier to access. If your looking for a good low cost, fly JetBlue, Alaska or Southwest. For Bigger Airlines, fly American. Anyways, Great Video. You earned a sub and a like.
In Europe, when you need to be somewhere, you take a bus. It’s relatively quick, and relatively comfortable. Do you het something extra? No, you don’t. Do you get spacious seats? No, in most of buses, you dont. And because in US, distances are much bigger, and classic buses aren’t so effective, you take a flying bus. This yellow bus wouldn’t cost a lot´ and you’ll going to be there guickly. J
Kind of reminds me of Air Asia and Ryan air . Looking to nickel and dime passengers at every turn. At the right fare level I guess they are performing a service . Quite austere .

Just like FlyUS in GTA lol

Lol, Aeroflot much worse, the crew shows their gentle only to foreign people
Well at least they are gentle to some, as opposed to gentle to nobody, which is the case for many airlines.

After seeing that legroom, I can say that this airline is definitely not recommended for Dutch people.
As a Dutchman myself, I can't agree more on this
So does KLM provide sufficient legroom (in general within their fleet) for the Dutch?
Good question. I am 6ft 6in. Can not trust seat guru cause the airlines keep changing seat pitch
@@gaeagaea8018 They do imo, I'd much rather fly KLM to somewhere like BCN instead of a cramped Vueling A320 in terms of comfort
I'm 1.94 m and I survived a spirit flight. For up to 3 hours it's okay. Sure it becomes plain torture beyond that point.
I lowkey miss the times of being tortured in the skies, I can't wait to fly again.
Although the experience isn’t great, they deserve credit for lowering the cost of domestic air travel up to 1/10 of what it was in some cases
The legroom and tray table were very tight, but I guess they are an ultra low cost airline after all.

It's interesting if Spirit airlines deny to change seats during the flight, like Russian airline Pobeda.
I read an article online that their safety record is better than other airlines and they follow a very strict maintenance schedule
I almost flew them from Las Vegas to lax/ Burbank on my trip back from
Vegas. I regret not choosing to fly with them in their big front seat
I'm impressed that spirit can stay in one piece after a flight because its such a cheap service/airline
