I absolutely LOVE that Infinity Stand! Great job Sara and Method! And great video covering all of the features! The price does give me pause though.... So while I would have jumped at this stand for another price point, where it sits right now, I'll definitely be holding off.
I'm not used to using my iPad very often in my work setup, but I admit that this is a gadget that looks good and adds a lot of style. Above all, it seems to be very useful. It will probably work great on my Protractor desk from Manhattan Home Design. Thanks for the review! It's always good to know this kind of thing.

Cool. I got the MagFlött Stand because of one of videos and it's been great. This is more aimed for drawing professionals rather than coders like myself since the height is pretty short but looks well built.

Love it! Wish I could get it right NOW lol. I hate waiting. I like the weighted option and the portrait option all in one. I also liked how you showed how you use it in addition to your monitor. Sometimes I don't know what to do with it.
Great review, Chris. Really appreciate your videos as a tech looking to transition away from a 9-5 . Question for you... How does this Moment Lab22 stand compare to the Anker 551 in terms of drawing mode reliability? This Moment stand seems perfect based on your video. Obviously, there is a height difference, but would you recommend this Moment Lab22 stand over the Anker 551? Or, would you recommend pairing this Moment stand with an Anker 541 USB-C Hub for people that want to use a stand but need to connect other accessories? Curious to hear your thoughts, as well as others. Sucks this Moment stand isn't dropping to 2023. I use a Moments lenses and love them with my Pro Max 14 for film and photography.

I wish there was a charging port in the base of the ipad stand and they utilized the 3 dot charging on the pack of the iPad. Having a floating cord for longer sessions feels weird. Especially for the price.
Great concept and presentation one question is does the fact that stand is magnetic does it have any ill effect on the ipad's circuitry etc?
It's almost perfect as far as the iPad stand. My only wishlist feature would be that it could be a connection hub as well with SD card slots etc, like the Anker one. Sara should do another collab with Moment and Anker lol, then it would check all the boxes.
You should check out Magfit, they have been offering products like the one you mentioned for a long time.
This first prototype is perfect. In a world of connectivity and productivity, a base that sturdy could benefit from a few ports and HDMI. Perhaps in the future. In the meantime, that apple pencil ✏ drawing angle is unmatched. That low angle is perfect for cooking and UA-cam so you don't need to look up and down since you're always looking down at the pots

Wireless headphone charging idea has been my quest for a decade. Also perhaps having an m1 iPad Pro we could get a Blender 3D option.
Yeah I have seen lots of different iPad stands on UA-cam but this one is very unique and all the use scenarios you used are very helpful in our day to day life to anyone who owns an iPad. I think it’s a little too pricey for a stand without no ports…Great Review! 😊

That was my main concern. If this was like $70 or maybe $80, I’d be tempted, for almost $200 though regular price and $150 special pricing, I want ports.

Does the 12.9 iPad stand fold completely flat for transportation?
I have the MagFlott, which really felt like a very good idea at first, but then I realized it is just too low to be ergonomic. It really needs to be on a monitor arm to be ergonomic as a side monitor, plus MagSafe capability (i.e. charging via the back connectors and external monitor link via the USB-C port). I'm hoping to see something like this that will attach to a VESA monitor arm, now that external monitor support for iPad Pros is available.
Also, I feel that these stands that can fold down for drawing and writing just don't feel "right". Moving that whole stand just feels so make-shift. Ultimately I think all I need is a block of silicone that spans the width of my iPad Pro, with one side at 5cm high, another side at 10cm, so I can just "roll" it over for a different height. This would be much easier to move around when drawing, and I could just throw it into a bag when I go out. If I want to be picky it could come with a shorter L shaped strip to protect the bottom edge of the iPad Pro when I have it propped up for drawing.

Thanks for this video. What is your take on the CharJen MagFlott stand as an alternative? While it isn’t as adjustable as the Lab22, it has a smaller footprint and raises the iPad up higher so that the USB-C cable can still connect to the external monitor from the bottom edge. This means the iPad selfie camera will remain on top-wouldn’t this make more sense for properly centered zoom calls? Especially since video calls on the iPad still don’t support an external monitor webcam. Curious your thoughts.
I have the Magflott for over half a year. It's the best stand I have purchased. I'm not sure if you meant the new height adjustable Magflott that is coming, but to your point, my Magflott includes a curved cable, so it doesn't hit the top of the base when in portrait mode.

Nice stand, but at 1:47 the ipad smacks into the base if you try and rotate it when there is no tilt on the stand.

There is tilt adjust, I just didn’t tilt it enough in that shot.
What mouse do you use for the ipad? Mine is very sluggish on the screen and I can’t figure out how to speed up the movement.
I use the Magic Trackpad. There is a known issue with third party mouses and the iPad.

I feel like $150 is pretty substantial. I have a $20 with a weighted base and does everything the same except swivel to portrait. That is cool. But I'm glad you got some points with rymes with Peachy.

A good stand, looks clean and is super functional, but a magnet is a magnet. If you have a case on your tablet, whatever tablet that might be, iPad or any Android tablet, the magnet won't hold your tablet through the case. No commercial magnet is strong enough or would be used in such a setting. Long story short: If you have a case on your tablet, magnetic stands are useless.
If you don't use a case, this stand is great.

Technically I’m ambidextrous, but a favor my right hand when writing. I think it has to do with the type of desks we had at school. They had an arm rest sort of thing but only on the right side.

While all these adjustable stands look great, I wish for once someone would take into account that not everyone takes their iPad out of their protective cases to use it. I never do and I am sure most people that have protective cases don't either. I want to keep my iPad fingerprint and scratch-free so I can get the maximum trade-in value when it reaches its end of life for my workflow and use case. The iPad is a fragile device. One drop and it's all over. I guess I'll just have to keep waiting.
I think my only complaint with it is that there is no laser etched peach on the base.

You don't touch the iPad screen when you put it up high because you use a cursor... That's the point of the magic keyboard having a track pad, and the mac and iPad having shared mouse and keyboard support. Also using your iPad and an extension of the mac desktop... these are the use cases for having you iPad on your desktop.

@@ThatMarkGilroy I’ve got the impression that Sara doesn’t communicate very well unless your name is MKBHD or Peter McKinnon. Functionally the stand looks great but send massively over priced.
Sadly the stand won't be available in countries like India. I am being forced to use a 10$ Ikea stand for iPad. 😭
