I still think andretti is going to buy a F1 team in the next few years. We will 100% see colton in F1. I see pato as well making the move In a Few years
I was crushed in 1996, after the CART / IRL split, because CART had been the best all-around open-wheel racing series in the world. They did road courses, street courses, super-speedways, short ovals, and of course Indy... just about every type of paved racing circuit there is. It has taken a long time to really get back to that format, but they've done it. And the racing is INTENSE! Plus, Roger Penske now owns Indy. Happy happy, joy joy.
Incredible race. Well done to Colton. I love the ending with his dad telling him afew things to do, the donut permission granted and then telling him to wave to his fans.
Excellent today's race @ street circuit in St.Petersburg good battles each corner tough break for Johnson & Rossi Rossi had nice run going too congratulations on Herta winning aswell.
Wow not watched Indycar for years(I'm a Brit). Been getting bored with F1 so thought I'd have another look at this(thanks to grosjean coming here this year). They sound so much better and the racing is way cooler. Subscribed!
I was an F1 fan for a long time, been watching since Senna was a rookie. F1 is too much of a “parade” and not a race. It’s also way too predictable. I love the F1 cars and their cool tech but the quality of racing is much better in Indy than F1.
Probably at tracks like road america and Mid-Ohio where the team was fast last year. He did well last week but, had to save fuel and lost a few spots late and finished 10th.
Nope won’t give him an opportunity he’s too old and will never find the pace to be a top 10 driver hope I’m wrong cause he’s just making nascar look bad
I’ve been a Formula One fan for most of my life. I have never really been a huge fan of IndyCar. But the way things have been going in Formula One, with Lewis Hamilton/Mercedes dominating, it’s pretty boring. I’ve been tuning into Indycar more and more theses days. The field is so much bigger and the competition more fierce.
Hey i'm new to IndyCar and i wanted to ask what the guy was doing at 15:14 during the pit stop. at the bottom left there is a guy with a small hose and he is aiming at the driver/fuel tank opening, why is he doing that? thank you in advance :-)
I think it’s crazy how a driver can just loose the ability to drive as good as they always have Jimmie Johnson just isn’t the same as when he was so dominating in nascar
Considering he's a "rookie" and driving for the first time, his debut in IndyCar has been pretty good IMO. Definitely just need a few more races to get him comfortable.
He is doing something so new and on very tough tracks, he will get much better. If he had unlimited practice I would expect him to be off of the bottom.
@@stellingbanjodude I think a top 10 is possible a top 5 yeah first season I wouldn't bet on it. He is now just trying to not be last but I expected that. His lap times are closing which is all I would have expected. If a late 40ies NASCAR driver can be within a second a lap of the leaders on road and street courses he has earned his keep.
It annoys me that they put black or red on the screen for tires. Those adjectives mean nothing besides representing other words that could be used, and make more sense.....so just put “soft” or “hard” for the tire type.
F1 cars are faster in the corners and more planted Indy Cars slide a lot more and have no power steering and less aero Indycar is also a spec series so there is less of a gap between teams
IndyCar has not disappointed this year.
It usually doesn’t.
Watch F1
Watch both
Romain knows how to use the full track limits! 👍👍👍
I really hope he does well, he's had so much bad luck.
Paul Tracy is hands down the most insightful commentator.
Grojan.
hi nbc, can you please for the love of god show the final positions and timings on ANY of your videos and highlights?
Man, as someone who started with watching F1, Indy is really growing on me! Need to go to a race one of these days
I recommend the Indy gp I’ve never had a bad time watching the gp or the 500. And Indy has a great downtown to tour over the weekend.
never thought I'd be in indycar but Romain Grosjean's entry really piqued my interest and now I think I'm hooked
He's gonna be a champion one day like he's got talent and a ton of speed when he gets ahead he leaves people.
And perfect donuts.
I still think andretti is going to buy a F1 team in the next few years. We will 100% see colton in F1. I see pato as well making the move In a Few years
Pretty decent race. Was hoping that Newgarden would be able to put up more of a fight, but Herta was just on rails today. On to Texas!

Great overtake by Sato

The overhead camera really captures the speed.
These cars are tough as heck. Great racing.
Yeah used to be if they bumped tires they would be done, I liked that shot coming out of a corner three cars in a row glazed the wall simaltanwously

Good job NBC for promoting indcar no one knew that race was on
Colton Herta is a true championship contender by seasons end
Pity that F1 can't have camera angles this fucking cool. Helicopter shots where you can ACTUALLY SEE THE CARS! What a novelty!
How can you not see the cars in F1 helicopter shots? Ive never had any issue with that whatsoever
The cars look great, the aero screen has grown on me very well. Awesome racing!
Feel bad for Rahal & Rossi, they were both fast and moving up. They would have made it interesting at the end
It looked like Rossi just drove into Rahal on that corner.
@John Montgomery would have been nice to see both of them fighting at the end
Exciting race congratulations Herta
Great race Colton! lol can I do donuts? Yes sir you certainly can, they were beautiful! Great attitude, keep it up!
Viendo estas imágenes contento de que un argentino (Agustín canapino)este ahí en el indycar este 2022
This young man deserve to be in f1.
Amazing. This is the race where Colton matched Bryan in wins, only took 3 seasons to do it. This is a Verstappen situation and i love it.
You love to see the Big Chungus domination 🔥
💀
Herta deserved to be in F1
Wow.. Best.. Respect all driver 👍
Forgive my ignorance, what is the spray on the engine cover at the end of the pit stops?
Water is sprayed to knock off any spilled fuel that might catch fire.
@@orgeronm thanks for the reply. I watch f1 mostly, which has no refuelling these days. Good to know!
Great race by Power.
Indy Car looking better than F1 lately.
Does anybody think that Grosjean will be fighting in the top 5 soon?
Probably at tracks like road america and Mid-Ohio where the team was fast last year. He did well last week but, had to save fuel and lost a few spots late and finished 10th.
That said...Nashville might be his next best shot as the track will be new for everyone.
No he was bad in F1 and isn't doing great here.
@@johnkavanaugh5931 well that is partially because he was in a haas, he really isn’t a bad driver at all.

What I love about racing is that you can lose the race at any lap but you can only win the race on the final lap.
Great sport
Good tidy race for Scotty Mac too 👍
Awesome scene
Ok, I'm a fan...... Let's get more racing like this
Here after F1 announced the St. Petersburg GP lol
18:07 does that car on the right hand side of the track just stays there until race is ended?
Knocked the valve stem out wheel to wheel- hadn’t ever thought of that happening lol
Jimmie J is still on the learning curve everyone so let’s give him an opportunity that he wanted to pursue and get used to it.
I'm excited to see how he does on an oval
@@kyleraymer5581 He's not racing ovals this year. Roads and streets only

Fairly new to Indy car, during a pit stop what liquid do they squirt at the fuel tank? Guessing it’s just water?
yep! Just like going into county jail.
Yes, it's water. It will dilute the fuel if any spills when the hose is disconnected.
I just want to see my boy romain win
U and me both bro. So down to earth. I think he'll be fighting for a podium @ tracks like COTA nd maybe Vegas

It's time to get back to F1 mate. The midfield is the closest it has ever been and RBR has made some big steps towards Merc

They're refueling the car
Wish they would put indy car in the f1 game too that would be awesome
Ahhh gotta love seeing the Romain Grosjean special
Still a spec series compared to Indy cars of the 90’s. Buick Chevy Ford and Mercedes running Dallara, Penske and Lola
Josef Newgarden = What a biblical name
When did Indy cars get windshields??
Last year! It's a variation of the Red Bull aeroscreen that F1 rejected.
If only I knew there was a race, I would have gone.
Follow the leader...
I wish I could watch the race on your guys app but it’s literally 300 second ads every 5 minutes
These cars look way better than current F1.
Please don’t put the tag of the winner in the video. Thanks.
Good luck with that. We have been asking that for 5 years. They don't get it...or care...or both!
Can You Show The Intros To The Races Across All Series Please
Muy bueno....
Maybe Jimmy should try chariot racing
Still waiting on the replay to upload on Peacock 🙄
Thanks Rahal
Rossi gave him the squeeze
Was definitely Rossi’s fault for turning in on him if anyone is at fault
Gmoneymelo Gaming Rossi’s tires were ice cold and Rahal left him no option, either the wall or pinch him.
@@CharlesAgajanian he could given him room and forced rahal to go around the outside in the next corner, the commentators even said as much.

the purple car at 7:03

Grosjean still loves randomly tapping the wall with his car, F1 or Indy.....
Im seeing one corner where the can stay at full speed lol
Herta won twice in 17 starts and so now he is ready to move on to F1? You people need a cold shower.
I mean why not? He'd probably fair better than someone like Alex Albon did.

How is this more exciting than F1 i dont understand...
well the fact there were over 150 on track overtakes is a start.....
What are they spraying on the cars as they leave pit lane?
To get rid of any fuel that spilled out while disconnecting the fuel hose

It's water. These cars run on ethanol, which is invisible when it burns, so they spray with water just in case there could be fire.
