Lol I’ve watched your hair and style evolve for years…just sat down and cracked open a cold one and clicked on your vid…I’m wearing the exact same tee and black shorts. 😂 I’ve apparently become a Dan-atic. 🤷🏻♂️ Great cut

@@angiemcmullin Leave the noisy scissors alone! lol, just kidding, but some of us do appreciate the ASMR aspect of that noise, you can just turn down the volume a little bit 😁
I don't think he was was 100% satisfied......he kept touching it pulling it back. Great cut and technique, I think he wanted a little more definition......
Again as usual, great work and a humble and an expert in what you do. To understand and to be understood, that’s what effective communication is and you have grasp that perfectly in your work. Best of health Dan.
I think that young man had great hair. You made it look fresh and still satisfactory to the customer. You are extremely talented. I truly enjoyed relaxing to your video. Thank you.
The guy asked for fringe just below the eyes and he left with it almost to the tip of his nose. You can see by the way he kept playing with the fringe, he was pushing it off his face. To me, the cut is way better looking than the heinous photos the guy showed. And Dan's choices were better, based on my personal taste. BUT, I don't think this was the cut the client intended and that Dan did what he wanted and the client acquiesced. When Dan suggests something I don't think I've ever seen a client stick to their guns and say no. I think there is a pattern of Dan talking clients into keeping their hair longer than they intend. His cuts come out so awesome that I'm torn on how I feel about it. I think I'd rather see Dan do the best with what he's actually asked as opposed to not giving clients the cut they intended to receive. Sometimes client gives him free reign and those are the times he should go for something different. As always, Dan shows he's a skilled master, but the consultation element has gone a bit too far.
I don’t watch enough to pick up on whether it’s true or not. But I think if you’re cutting someone’s hair for the first time it’s better to be cautious no? You can always take more off, but growing something out takes fucking ages lol
As a barber myself, I find most clients don't truly understand how long their hair needs to be. For example, the images that the client showed to dan, the fringe length maybe would have been down to about the bottom of his nose and would bounce and curl up to reach about his eyebrow area, but the client instructed dan to cut it to his eyebrow, demonstrating that he doesnt really understand how long the hair needs to be to achieve the look he's going for. If dan actually just cut it to his eyebrow im almost certain the client would have found it too short. I tend to work with the client midway and achieve the actual length I think they want and the clients almost always agree with the end product. Once one of my clients said 'with your haircuts, my hair doesnt need a week to marinate' which I think illustrates what im trying to say.
ABSOLUTELY!!! Perfectly hit the nail on the head!! I’m a barber as well and get tons of mullet request!! I own Another Planet Barber Co. In Lansing, mi (portfolio on google)you totally said Everything that I was thinking! Dan overthinks and over talks the consultation on waaaaaay too many episodes! His haircuts are always 🔥🔥🔥but this one didn’t capture what the client wanted or was envisioning for himself. It barley looked like he even got a haircut. And the client’s body language said he was super disappointed and probably walked out the door and went right to another barber that can really define the actual look of a real mullet. Which is tighter sides first and foremost!! Dan is still my fav! Not even close! Very animated with hand movements, cocky feeling himself😂😂 also check out my crime action suspense thriller “Appointed Vengeance” the lawyer killings series, like watching a movie 🎥 🔥🔥 money hungry shady lawyers who lose, knowingly play deadly game of wins vs losses. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ amazon/Barnes & noble movie trailers UA-cam!!! Thanks for the comment, Blayne. Always appreciate your support on the channel and comments. And everyone else in here! ❤️ Just wanted to jump in with a quick bit of context, as there was a convo about the length just before Dan cut it and Dan specifically asked Jared about what he said at 3:38 or so, regarding tucking the hair behind the ears, but the shot was not used in the video because of quality. Quick transcript for context - Dan - “I’m just thinking if you’re going to wear it in a centre part on the top like you were. You’re probably going to be doing this a lot. Pushing it back. So I think we still want to have the same thing on the sides. So I was thinking if we were to take, maybe about that much off the sides (shows Jared in mirror the length and how it will look) which just sits on the ear. As you push this back. It will also expose the ear quite nicely, but will also flow nicely into the mullet aswell. Is that alright, yeah? About that much (shows again)” Jared - “Yeah!” Just to give the full context for Dan there as our fault that part where the length is discussed being changed clearly is not in the video! But 3:38 gives a bit of context to that! Don’t think we’ve ever seen Dan in all these years, cut anyone’s hair without asking at least a few times if that’s ok! We also know that sometimes the camera might stop people always asking for exactly they want or question parts, but we try to make everyone feel comfortable enough to do so. Dan has also spoken recently about how his biggest challenge is people just asking to do whatever he wants, and that would also involve not questioning, so we really do try to encourage it always! Always appreciate your comments either way!
I love the thought and dedication you put into a cut. This is amazing. Wish I could find this level of dedication and honesty in a barber here. Well done
Dan you’re looking absolutely amazing ! I watch at least 2-3 videos everyday for the past 2 weeks and seeing the transformation is motivating. Also, splendid haircut as usual 👌🏼
Agree. This is not a radical mullet, more of a gradual post era style. Awesome. When customer requested bangs just below eyes, and end product is to bottom of nose, understand it’s not an exact science when styling gradual front to rear. Fabulous work by Dan as his judgement & skilled design were excellent in the end!
I think after your consultations with your clients, you’re only trying to be informative to their options, because of your expertise. You let your clients know what style you can give them close to the style that they’re interested in, but they have to take in consideration their facial structure as well as the texture of their hair concerning the style they want you to achieve. In my eyes again a job well done as always! 👍🏽💯😇

Dan is a real hair wizard. Dang! The client has beautiful hair to begin with but he's done great work with everyone I've seen. Weird to comment about this as a dude, but hair is pretty important!
