I recently did this cut on my severely bleach damaged hair in order to cut away some of the damage, while still giving the illusion of it being long and OMG- it was a lifesaver.
Found you few months ago and never went to a hairdresser again. I'm presently rocking the wolf cut, but this one is definitely in the pipeline as soon as my hair is a bit longer. Thank you. Your videos are amazing.
Just did this at 2:40am with thick, dry, curly hair. It feels amazing and with curly hair it’s much more forgiving. First time cutting my own hair. 😂 Thank you for this. 🤙🏼
That's impressive! It's difficult enough cutting wavy hair, let alone curly! I just wish my arms weren't so outta shape. They feel like they're going to spontaneously combust after a couple minutes😂❤
I love these styles! I gave up trying to find anyone in the hairdressing industry who can precisely cut long layers ages ago... so I have been experimenting on my own hair for years.. I tend to go through phases of adding in layers by doing sectioned ponytails then growing it all out to one length and getting a hairdresser to cut that. I was in the all one length stage with it getting really long when I decided I wanted it all off my face and decided to cut it in stages to basically get close to a shaved head.. put in my hair into one pony that was tied at the middle and very edge of my forehead. .. tied another hair tie where it hit my nose and cut there.. was thinking it was just the first step so wasn't thinking of anything more than a quick hack off of some length in an extreme direction.. the result was such cool layering but with all my crazy length still there.. it looked insanely great and kept it that way!!! My hair is wavy and very thick.. The way you cut into the ponies after the length is removed would help my thick hair tons and I see how much softer it would be.. Great cuts! Great tips!!! I wish I could get a cut from you! If I'm ever in the UK. So nice seeing someone who knows how to get these fabulous looks! Glam rock is how I describe the style 💜
Would you have to texturize the ends with curly hair as well? I would imagine you cut curly hair differ t but the basic technique should be the same! This would be great for my hair which is very curly at times 🙂
Funny that you mentioned, that hairdresser are afraid to cut a mullet. That just happend at my appointment: the longer she brushed my hair, the less she cut something off. 🙄 And I was so ready for a mullet, looks like some hairdressers are not brave enough hear in Germany 😂
hatte neulich eine ähnliche erfahrung, hab meiner friseurin gesagt dass ich einen mullet haben möchte, jetzt hab ich einfach nur schulterlange haare mit pony :/
Morning Paul, Stunning, simple and efficient 👍🏻 love it I’ve just tried 2 days ago, your wolf haircut technique in 2 sections……. Very excited to try this one 😉 have a lovely weekend 😘
Mullets really are my fav haircuts for myself. I've worn several since I was 15 (am turning 36 this month and had one at least every other to every third year, usually going back and forth between pixie and mullet fully intentionally, besides that one year I went from pixie to graduated a-line bob) and I can't picture any other hairstyle to be my fav, really. I really love how many different variations you can create and how easy mullets are to style. For my natural hair texture they are great imho (I have slightly wavy hair that can easily be enhanced OR be blown out straight) and I also love what they add to my overall style. But I can totally understand that they are not for everyone. Most people I know want something that's really low maintenance because they only ever go to a salon once a year. And where I live in Germany I don't ever see mullets on the street. And when I wear one I usually get crazy or even mad looks and stares all the time. (Which is the only thing I dislike about it tbh.) I do not know if there are stylists around here that are good at creating a customized mullet for your facetype and headshape (AND hair texture), because I really only do my own hair and never let anybody else cut my hair. What I wanted to add though: Since I do my hair myself, I am constantly looking for methods that make cutting it easier. That's also how I got here (and came THAT late), but I do prefer sectioning and using several types of overdirecting and elevating the hair (sometimes including graduation, sometimes not), not just all over square layers. So a ponytail method never was for me (I actually never did it in all these years of doing my own hair). But I appreciate you show this - people who are not able to section their hair out rather profesionally themselves will benefit from this. I am glad my shoulders are flexible enough to do correct techniques on my own head of hair, but maybe when I am older and do not have that flexibility and mobility anymore, these will be a lifesaver. I CAN actually cut my own hair on my own back without taking it to the front (in a straight line) no matter how long or short it is, but I also always wanted to have mirrors that would allow me to see myself from all angles to do my hair myself. I totally get that most people do not have that opportunity/possibility and also for those this video is a blessing. I do appreciate this, really. Because I do understand the difficulties most people go through when cutting their own hair. My own hair does not tangle and is also not very dense. People with a lot of hair might find sectioning quite tricky. So yah, you really did a great job with this video.
OMG, I'm excited to try his hairstyle myself. I was wondering how to get those short yet fluffy bangs with different lengths. This hack makes it easy. Now I want to know how to style it, what tools and products to use.
I absolutely love this! I would love this on my hair but I'm nervous to get it cut in the salon because of the fact that not a lot of people know how to do it like this! AND they NEVER give me enough layers all around! It's so annoying!!
Which ponytail method would you say is best to adapt for a DIY vaguely vintage 1950s style cut? I’ve previously combined unicorn/wolf and then created a U with a beard cut (under chin). My hair wants to be wavy and can look like I’ve done a 50s wet set without having done one if that makes sense? I suit 50s style clothes/makeup not shag or mullet aesthetic. I’ve been cutting my own hair for 10 years and the only disaster was when I tried ponytails horizontally at the side. Vertical or forward has been good but not 💯
Well it’s good to know there’s a different type of hair tape I was always used to using the pink hair tape for over 57 yrs and have missed that, using medical tape. What name of tape do you use?
Hi I love this and many others that you do. I have long mostly just wavy/straightish hair that is dark brown. I used to cut my hair into a “rocker shag” back in the early ‘80’s, then I wacked it all off one weekend and gave myself a Chelsea type cut. I would love to give myself a great “rocker shag” again from the 80’s, could you do one?
Hola Paul me encanta tu estilo y tu profesionalidad ..enhorabuena Me he suscrito a su canal..por favor Paul me encantaría poder leer subtitulos en español Gracias un saludo desde España 😘
My mum did this for me, I hated it (not your fault,) I just have really curly hair so it didn’t work it just went all fuzzy and poofy, other then that I recommend for people to do it

I did this method on my curly hair and it came out amazing, I know he said it was just an example but it works :~)
I’m about to try this… wish me luck😂🤞
Please do something like this on a mannequin with curly hair 🙏🏽 this is a gorgeous hair cut 💟
I agree, thick & curly- wavy

This turned out fantastic ~
I love your simplistic approach to cutting & styling hair. 💇🏼♀️

Surprisingly it looks pretty cool, reminds me of a 80s hair metal hair cut
Bon Jovi’s haircut
@@ale-av Much more like Ritchie Samboras, his guitarist. Check out Ritchies old pics- it's exact. Lol

Yes! I’ve been trying to find 80’s metal hair forever. Thank you 🙏
I haven’t went to a salon since 2019 thanks to you 😂

Where is the other video you were talking about?
Wow so beautiful 😍
Can I do it for curly/wavy hair ?
I always seem to get too "texture happy" and end up giving myself a very frizzy "Doc Brown" ("Back to the Future"). It's all good, though😂
can i make this if i have my hair like a medium size?I mean they just touch my shoulders. Is that going to look good?
it is!! ive seen this haircut on short hair and it looks rlly good
How can I do this without touching my hair length? (I have 3a hair)
Can you do this hairstyle on really fine hair?
Hello, really fantastic! Very Simple! Very Beautiful! Can you please do David Cassidy’s haircut in the 70s! Regards from Jordan 🌹

Gente, alguém ne explica, os tutoriais desse homem sao pra como fazer cortes de cabelo feios?
Bondage tape😂
It’s confusing and you don’t speak clearly
This is definitely not a mullet!
That’s not a mullet, it’s a shag and it’s horrible. Don’t do it. Can you imagine the horror on a humid day..?
❌❌❌
I think that's the magic of it actually
I think it's more of a shag too but i love it.
