  • Zooming across the Solent at 8kts is a nice feeling after going monohull speeds. I'm finding it very interesting seeing the difference between the two.

    The RNLI are all amazing.
    I would have lost my finger completely if Dominic from the Mudeford station didn't attend to me before hospital.
    I'm very grateful obviously ❤

    A lovely dinner at the Folly? They must have changed their menu since we ate there last season.

    1:41 look at that other trimaran! Must be popular over there. I only see monohulls and the odd catamaran here in Tampa, FL.

      It’s not the most popular here either but just lost in the number of monos surrounding them.

    8.7 kn is awesome - you must be well pleased! I've noticed you anchoring up off Calshot a few times. Isn't it quite rolly there what with passing traffic? I would also worry about the tide swinging me round overnight and upsetting the anchor...

      @AlexGoesSailing  5 місяців тому +2

      I’m chuffed! Roll isn’t too bad and especially on a tri. Well protected and doesn’t get affected by current switches all that much. I swang through about 120deg there. Even better if you get behind the spit.

      @@AlexGoesSailing Good to know. There also seems to be an anchor spot just round the corner at Stanswood Bay. Haven't tried that but looks good if wind has N in it.

      some updated sails would make the boat fly next sponsorship to work on a fully batten laminated main with a bigger roach has to be on the wishlist

    why do you not put your tender on the side ama while sailing? there should be enough space and when i see you dragging it behind yourself i think you could be much faster with it resting on the boat. on my 22 foot monohull i could never put the tender on the boat due to missing space but you could.

      I do some of the time. Just depends on how long the trip is and if I want the room on deck to walk around. I’m no racer that’s for sure. I have also tested to see if there is a speed difference and it’s not noticeable.
