- Zooming across the Solent at 8kts is a nice feeling after going monohull speeds. I'm finding it very interesting seeing the difference between the two.

8 knts only in my dreams or with a tide. Very impressed.
I’ve now had it even faster!
The RNLI are all amazing.
I would have lost my finger completely if Dominic from the Mudeford station didn't attend to me before hospital.
I'm very grateful obviously ❤
They’re amazing! I just hope I don’t need them!
A lovely dinner at the Folly? They must have changed their menu since we ate there last season.
Has been good every time I have been there!
Great video and loved the music Maybe a new pair of Sunglasses for the new boat?😍😍😍😍
Not a bad idea 😎
Yes :)
Lol 😁. That thing rips. Big time.
The round the island race will be fun!
1:41 look at that other trimaran! Must be popular over there. I only see monohulls and the odd catamaran here in Tampa, FL.
It’s not the most popular here either but just lost in the number of monos surrounding them.
Editing is getting noticeably better! Good vid
Thank you!!!!!!!!
wish the music was lol
@@gatecrasher1970if you were born in 1970 you probably just have an old persons taste in music 👴🏻
speed demon.😃
😎
8.7 kn is awesome - you must be well pleased! I've noticed you anchoring up off Calshot a few times. Isn't it quite rolly there what with passing traffic? I would also worry about the tide swinging me round overnight and upsetting the anchor...
I’m chuffed! Roll isn’t too bad and especially on a tri. Well protected and doesn’t get affected by current switches all that much. I swang through about 120deg there. Even better if you get behind the spit.
@@AlexGoesSailing Good to know. There also seems to be an anchor spot just round the corner at Stanswood Bay. Haven't tried that but looks good if wind has N in it.
some updated sails would make the boat fly next sponsorship to work on a fully batten laminated main with a bigger roach has to be on the wishlist
@@gavinferguson that would be the dream! Got any contacts 🤔
why do you not put your tender on the side ama while sailing? there should be enough space and when i see you dragging it behind yourself i think you could be much faster with it resting on the boat. on my 22 foot monohull i could never put the tender on the boat due to missing space but you could.
I do some of the time. Just depends on how long the trip is and if I want the room on deck to walk around. I’m no racer that’s for sure. I have also tested to see if there is a speed difference and it’s not noticeable.
You're a multihuller now Alex, light as possible and no towing dinghies, sorry, them's the rules!😂

I plan on racing mine. Let me know if you get over 10 knots & how.
I did! Surfing waves a bit but I have heard of them going over 15 before.
Halyard/luff tension?
What about it? Doesn’t need to be super tight as the furler still needs to work.
I'll have look into a trailer sailer group of more experienced people to learn from.
