Never heard of the "Thunder Ceptor" series by Namco before. Looks kinda like Thunder Blade plus Space Harrier, which is all good. Nicely done playthrough!
The Bacura, yes. These things were indestructible for most of the Xevious series (except for GAMP no Nazo and Fardraut Densetsu ). They would appear on other Namco games including Final Blaster, Ace Combat Infinity, the Tales of Series, and Thunder Ceptor to name a few.
The UGSF built an ultimate weapon named “V-28.” But the needed energy, Geltorium, was in alien hands. And so the pilot of the Thunder Ceptor, Jimlitter, gained access to Geltorium resource and delivers it to the UGSF headquarters. Plus, Hyper Way is the successor to Star Line due to it being able to transport both inorganic and organic matters. (My speculation:) As for the endings of Thunder Ceptor duality, it depends on how the player performs. If Jimlitter fails to deliver Geltorium to their headquarters, then the aliens will take back this resource and invade all territories belonging to the United Galaxy. Then, they will begin the downfall of the Galaxians (just as barbarians did with the Romans). If Jimlitter succeeds, the UGSF will be able to power the V-28 to finish off the aliens once and for all.
@@alxxz UGSF (United Galaxy Space Force) was a fictional organization created by Bandai Namco to originally be the protagonists of Galaxian3, but later on was given a timeline with games that feature this organization (Thunder Ceptor was one of them). Though the most important note to take here is that every game in the timeline (Galaxian, Galaga, Bosconian, Dig Dug, Cyber Commando, ect) according to Namco takes place inside of Ace Combat's Strangereal continuity.
@@crazykokebroz No Wait! So even Star Blade takes place in the same timeline as the Ace Combat series?! I have only completed Ace Combat 1 & 2 back in the day and interestingly I only discovered recently that they take place in an alternate Earth with completely different continents where war is waged solely via air-force. And what about Tekken & Soul Edge / Calibur series then?! Are they also in the sane universe?! There was even a Star Wars cross-over in the 4th game where the Dark Lord of the Sith obliterated the competition by crushing the final Boss with the iron grip of the force and obtaining the Soul Edge as his trophy!
@@alxxz Tekken & Soul Edge are not in the same universe as Ace Combat, though I think it has been hinted before that it's possible that they could be in paralel universes (Since it was said somewhere that Xevious was in a parallel universe to Galaga/Ace Combat)
Can't believe I hadn't seen this game sooner. It looks fantastic, especially for 1986

You Heard a Piece Of the Ranking Music in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U from a Track Called "Namco '80s Retro Medley 2"?
Ringo Andou ??
You Haven't Played Super Smash Bros. for Wii U?
Check out Hyper Zone for snes. It's a total copy of this.
1:59 I like how you can briefly see the background object that should've scrolled out from the palette change
9:16: Game Over
9:20: Name Entry
1:55 Hey, its those Xevious Panels.

Reminds me of Hyperzone for the SNES, I totally missed this one!
How is this exactly supposed to be the end of the U.G.S.F. timeline?

No Wait! What is the UGSF exactly?!

Same universe as Ace Combat btw.
and Galaga, Bosconian, and Dig Dug, plus Starblade
I was looking for this comment.. just heard about Thunder Ceptor after hearing UGSF continues Strangereal’s timeline
Precursor to Burning Force?
Pretty much, minus the flying biker chick! :D
Looks like HyperZone for the Super NES, if HyperZone wasn't boring.
