@@Kngofkngs yes got 6 kc now! Died alot though overconfident. Three square helped alot, aswell as standing in the middle during first 75%. Running diagonally helped aswel. AND most importantly, I tried focussing on doing as much dps as possible without losing ticks! I had one kill with 18 food left!!!
Running diagonally is good, but be careful running towards tornados diagonally. In my experience, they are almost guaranteed to hit you if you pass through them diagonally. Grats on the 6 KC! (P.S. I still die from time to time even after 1000 KC 😂)
took me 100 deaths for my first kc. Now two weeks later, i'm approaching 100 kc's on cg. keep practicing. you can do it. I still die every few runs, but that's just the way it goes sometimes. this is honestly one of the best cg guides you'll find on youtube. for reference, im only 79 defense, 86 ranged, and 91 mage, no cox prayers either.

Took 30 for my first kc 81 def, 85 mage , 83 ranged. Then it took 100 for my first consecutive and I bought augury. Now we are at 168, invested in rigour, and resigned to just doing t2 armor strat until I don't make mistakes. I could've just put 30 mil into chinning range but hindsight is 2020.
Those are impressive stats to be getting consistent kills, for sure! Prayers are huuuuge. I eventually stuck with T2… it takes a bit longer to prep, but the Hunllef kills are so much more chill IMO
I always see people going for full T1 armor and 20+ food, but I've found more success consistently going for full T2 (7 of each resource, which I can usually find while searching for demibosses). I take way less damage--like I've done the boss eating as little as 3 food before, and I can 100% get the kc with 8 food if I make no mistakes. You lose less ticks eating, and if you stay above 80 hp you can't get 100-0ed by the tornadoes either, since t2 armor reduces their max hit to 20 each. I think it also reduces the damage u take if u stand in the lava? It's just more forgiving overall, not to mention the defensive stats and minor offensive stats that might help ur dps. I average maybe 6-6:30 in prep time, ~9 minutes total time going for full t2. Also, another niche tip I've found is during p3, if you absolutely have run under the boss and tank a stomp because of the lava spawn + tornadoes, get as far as possible from the boss after because I've been double stomped by clicking to the other side of him by just 1 tile, but then the act of running under him moves him to where I end up.

@@martinverbeek8862 I know this comment is a bit old, but I believe you need the full set of each tier to get the damage reduction associated with that tier. So if you if you have tier 1 helm and legs, but tier 2 body, you’re only getting the damage reduction for tier 1.
thanks for the tips, timing eating just before switching weapon/prayers was the peice of the puzzle I was missing. Made it viable and a more consitent!
Nice guide man. My buddies in my clan hated on me for not having a CG kc let alone a regular gauntlet KC (I’ve been grinding max cape currently 2193 total and not too interested in grinding bosses anymore). I went ahead and killed regular gauntlet my first try and it took about 8 tries for corrupted. I’m absolutely hooked. The prepping was what I struggled with and time management at first now it’s just about surviving the boss itself. This is a great guide and it helped me get my third kc in just 21 deaths. I’m gonna go for 10 for now but I might just keep going until I get the pet who knows. Thanks for your tips!!

Remember guys, it took me 30 deaths before i got my first kill, 50 before my 2nd, and 60 before my 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc. took me 60 deaths before i started getting consistent kills. So remember guys, take your time and practice. I still die sometimes and thats normal.
hey man, thanks for the tips, the four square and the hunlief placement were my two biggest problems (especially on the last phase, i used to try to have him in the middle and some of the floor rotations were pretty nasty with this hunlief placement)
Jagex has actually changed up the floor patterns a bit since I made this video. During the last phase, instead of the fourth square, try using the third square from the door 😁 It’s actually even easier than the old fourth square, lol.
Been trying to do this on my Ironman at 77 defense, 83 magic, and 78 ranged and I keep dying around 2-300 hp. Look forward to trying it using these tips! Thanks!
update, im 5-0 in my last 5 runs. Thanks for the help! Only focusing on dodging the tornados and turning on tile indicators for my player via runelite really helped!
92 ranged 86 magic 85 def have died over 100 times and succeeded once. I am feeling like it can't be my stats at this point and has to be I am making too many mistakes. Thanks for the tips.
I have 1,166 completions and I still die often. Up to 602 deaths 😂 Even once you get the hang of it, deaths still come. Keep up the practice! Better stats always help. Also Rigour and Augury would be amazing as well.

I think what ends up killing me the most is spam clicking when the tornados are out. I get nervous that if I don't click again my character will stop moving and will get stacked.....so I end up spam clicking causing my character to stop moving and get stacked. :/

Got my first kc on my third try, now am at over 30 kc but still die every third or fourth run to the smallest mistakes. It's very hard to not get tilted or burnt out with how slow the grind is or having to be perfect every single run. I may try melee and ranged, because from my experience the staff just doesn't hit.
I have definitely had moments where I noodle with every weapon, but the staff is definitely the worst. The staff is easier to use and a much more chill weapon than the halberd, but the hally does more dps without a doubt. I still die here and there as well with over a thousand KC, hahah. It can be extremely punishing. Good luck on your grind! Try to keep at it or do it in smaller chunks. I personally regret staying there every day until I got the Blade, lmao.
I have really bad add and this boss is really hard for me. I can do like 3 kills in a row before my brain gives out and it doesn't help to constantly lose to hitting 0s with T1 armour and T3 weapons. I'm 126 and I hit way too many zeros for this to be a consistent money maker.
Yeah that is definitely a huge downside. Even with T3 weapons you can still noodle quite often. When it comes to only being able to do ~3 kills in a row, Gauntlet is actually the perfect boss for that because you don’t have to regear or even drop off your current inventory. Sometimes I’ll interrupt a random Slayer Task with a CG or two 😂
If you have time before entering, just let it move around and hope the boss ends up going to a decent spot. I also recommend you practice moving the boss by stepping underneath. The boss’ pathing kinda sucks and won’t always move where/when you want it to, but it’s super nice being able to take a few seconds and get the boss into a decent spot. It’s especially good to do this early on so the fight isn’t as hectic. To practice I entered Normal Gauntlet and went straight into the boss room and practiced moving it around. It really helps!
so I started a GIm and haven't been grinding like the other people but the boys are all sharing info so I can do the gauntlet on their accounts. tried it out for the first time and in the first 2 attempts I beat the regular gauntlet and it took me 11 to get my first kc on CG. I have now attempted over 60 CG and haven't killed it once since and I honestly have no fucking clue how I killed it the first time. Best runs with T2 helm and legs and t1 chest with t3 bow and staff get me to like 300 HP even when I'm making sure I'm attacking right the entire time. thought it was because of that (not switching weapons instantly) but even after focusing on that I still feel like I'm not doing damage with 86 magic 93 range. never looked up a guide other than on the wiki for general info until now so hoping I can do it after this because I have spent 4+ hours trying to get a kill with no success. I run out of food like 4-6 mins in
also reason I haven't looked up a guide guide because I find it more fun to try stuff the first time like that without looking up the most efficent way to do it.
@@orphscookie8047 I had high 80s and low 90s for my combat stats when I started this grind as well. My kills didn't surpass my deaths until ~300 KC. It was rough, lmao. Even with Rigour and a high range level there were tons of kills where I felt like I just wasn't dealing any damage at all. Hunllef can be super tanky! Keep at it and you will get consistent. If it continues to be rough, try getting prayer scrolls first? Higher range/mage levels will actually help a ton as well. No I am mostly 99s in combat stats and I feel a MASSIVE difference when doing CG now vs back then. Also! If you don't get the full set it's not enough defense to reduce your damage taken. So if you can't get the full T2 set in time, it's not worth getting the partial set. Later on in my grind (It took 1061 CG KC for my first weapon...) I swapped to getting full T2 Armor and T3 weapons as often as I could. This makes things quite a lot easier, but it will increase your average kill times. Getting consistent at CG is just massive amounts of practice and high stats. It is super end-game content, afterall. GL in future attempts! May the loot RNG be ever in your favor as well!

I can't complain about my bois stats since he's been grinding since the start of GIm and I don't even have barrows gloves yet. Only thing I did was get 95hunter from herbiboar so we could have 78 herblore for raids and then I was burnt out. I enjoy doing the gauntlet stuff right now since it's fresh to me and reminds me a lot of dungeonerring and I like the fact that you have to be good at the game to get kills but it just feels str8 up impossible right now lmao. felt so good the first kill and now it's like I'm being blue balled. I watched like 2 gauntlet videos tho and got some advice from u so now I'm feeling like trying it again. My gim's name is 420 Orphs if ur interested in adding or looking up stats /anything lmao. I keep dying in the regular gauntlet lmaooo. Granted ive only done 4 now but i just need to keep focus the whole fight. I ease up when hes got like 40-50 hp left and I get combod in like a few ticks
I am not brave enough to attempt this on mobile XD The last phase on Corrupted is hard enough on the PC! I'd probably die before even entering the Hunllef's room, hahah

Iv only been able to manage 3 cg kills with 12min pb iv died like 53 times but I think you should gone more into detail on moving him ciz I do get fked by position alot of the time also I do have question I have 88 range 94 mage an like 78 defense do you think I should lvl up range an mage more b4 I grind cg cuz alot of the time I just can't hit him an il die il avoid tornados tiles an do perfect pray flicks but il legit run outta prayer b4 with like 10 food left I run t1 armor an range an mage
I would definitely recommend like 90+ combat stats before farming Corrupted. Of course it can be done before, but it really is end-game content so high stats would benefit you a lot. In terms of moving, I only ever moved the boss when I had to. Sometimes you just get the shittiest positioning and you have to move the boss. Just move under right as the boss attacks you so you don’t get stomped. Most of the time I just waited at the door until it pathed into a good spot. Obviously time after prep is a luxury. Better stats and more practice would help with that a lot! I also started using T2 armor when I could tell supplies were plentiful and it feels so nice, lol.
Running through the tornadoes requires you to be tick perfect. Personally I don’t run through them at all just to avoid randomly dying and wasting an entire attempt. From what I gather, it’s similar to running through the lightning in the Olm fight.
Sometimes you will get hit sometimes not. Thats because when you run you essentially skip a tile. When you dont get hit you are skipping the tile the tornados are on when you step over. When you do get hit you are standing on the same tile. So really its all about how close they are to you when you start the run. Technically it is "tick perfect" but thats not a very good explanation for why it happens

I'm still new to CG but I don't think it's that tough to learn, I think most of the damage that I take is quite cheap. The small damage that the boss deals to you really adds up over time but it's fine mostly, but the tornados can easily cause unavoidable damage in the later phases of the fight, because even if you dodge them the chances are you've got to run across a lava tile if you have a bad setup. That being said I still fail more than I win so I'm definitely not an authority on this, and I don't do any advanced stuff like redemption flicking.
Yeah, once you get the hang of it and used to all of the floor patterns it gets a lot better. Sometimes I’ll have a full inventory of food, not miss a single prayer flick, and STILL run out of food by the end, lmao. I only try Redemption Flicking in desperate situations. Most of the time I just die, lol.
I think with Rigour it’s still a bit faster, but I only ever did 5:1 when absolutely necessary (if I fucked up and didn’t get a T3 weapon or something) I always just tried to get the staff & bow combo and did it normally. The buff to the staff helps out so much and that combo is definitely the easiest. Good luck!!
I am definitely down to try this out as well. I guess it depends on the layout you're given. If you're given tons of armor resources then hell yeah go T2 Armor and less food.
@@divisejohnson1951 I gave the T2 armor a shot for quite a few runs and I feel like the prep takes longer sometimes. You have to get kinda lucky and actually get 3 nodes for each resource, then sometimes you have to go grind out more shards because the few fish, herbs, and bosses you kill don't give always give you enough shards for a full set of T2 armor. Definitely play with it, though! There's a noticeable difference in the damage you take. The accuracy doesn't change much, though.

Lol! Nah, CG is some hard ass content. I’ve got quite a few kills under my belt nowadays + maxed stats and I still die here and there. Keep at it! I personally wish I would have done more normal gauntlet to prepare for corrupted. And maybe improved my stats a bit more before trying to brute force it.

Got my first kc on my third try, now am at over 30 kc but still die every third or fourth run to the smallest mistakes. It's very hard to not get tilted or burnt out with how slow the grind is or having to be perfect every single run. I may try melee and ranged, because from my experience the staff just doesn't hit.
I have definitely had moments where I noodle with every weapon, but the staff is definitely the worst.
The staff is easier to use and a much more chill weapon than the halberd, but the hally does more dps without a doubt.
I still die here and there as well with over a thousand KC, hahah. It can be extremely punishing.
Good luck on your grind! Try to keep at it or do it in smaller chunks. I personally regret staying there every day until I got the Blade, lmao.

I have really bad add and this boss is really hard for me. I can do like 3 kills in a row before my brain gives out and it doesn't help to constantly lose to hitting 0s with T1 armour and T3 weapons. I'm 126 and I hit way too many zeros for this to be a consistent money maker.
Yeah that is definitely a huge downside. Even with T3 weapons you can still noodle quite often.
When it comes to only being able to do ~3 kills in a row, Gauntlet is actually the perfect boss for that because you don’t have to regear or even drop off your current inventory.
Sometimes I’ll interrupt a random Slayer Task with a CG or two 😂
for me the main issue i had was having the boss in the middle of the room
If you have time before entering, just let it move around and hope the boss ends up going to a decent spot.
I also recommend you practice moving the boss by stepping underneath. The boss’ pathing kinda sucks and won’t always move where/when you want it to, but it’s super nice being able to take a few seconds and get the boss into a decent spot. It’s especially good to do this early on so the fight isn’t as hectic.
To practice I entered Normal Gauntlet and went straight into the boss room and practiced moving it around. It really helps!
so I started a GIm and haven't been grinding like the other people but the boys are all sharing info so I can do the gauntlet on their accounts. tried it out for the first time and in the first 2 attempts I beat the regular gauntlet and it took me 11 to get my first kc on CG. I have now attempted over 60 CG and haven't killed it once since and I honestly have no fucking clue how I killed it the first time. Best runs with T2 helm and legs and t1 chest with t3 bow and staff get me to like 300 HP even when I'm making sure I'm attacking right the entire time. thought it was because of that (not switching weapons instantly) but even after focusing on that I still feel like I'm not doing damage with 86 magic 93 range. never looked up a guide other than on the wiki for general info until now so hoping I can do it after this because I have spent 4+ hours trying to get a kill with no success. I run out of food like 4-6 mins in
also reason I haven't looked up a guide guide because I find it more fun to try stuff the first time like that without looking up the most efficent way to do it.
@@orphscookie8047 I had high 80s and low 90s for my combat stats when I started this grind as well. My kills didn't surpass my deaths until ~300 KC. It was rough, lmao.
Even with Rigour and a high range level there were tons of kills where I felt like I just wasn't dealing any damage at all. Hunllef can be super tanky! Keep at it and you will get consistent. If it continues to be rough, try getting prayer scrolls first? Higher range/mage levels will actually help a ton as well. No I am mostly 99s in combat stats and I feel a MASSIVE difference when doing CG now vs back then.
Also! If you don't get the full set it's not enough defense to reduce your damage taken. So if you can't get the full T2 set in time, it's not worth getting the partial set. Later on in my grind (It took 1061 CG KC for my first weapon...) I swapped to getting full T2 Armor and T3 weapons as often as I could. This makes things quite a lot easier, but it will increase your average kill times.
Getting consistent at CG is just massive amounts of practice and high stats. It is super end-game content, afterall.

I can't complain about my bois stats since he's been grinding since the start of GIm and I don't even have barrows gloves yet. Only thing I did was get 95hunter from herbiboar so we could have 78 herblore for raids and then I was burnt out.
I enjoy doing the gauntlet stuff right now since it's fresh to me and reminds me a lot of dungeonerring and I like the fact that you have to be good at the game to get kills but it just feels str8 up impossible right now lmao. felt so good the first kill and now it's like I'm being blue balled. I keep dying in the regular gauntlet lmaooo. Granted ive only done 4 now but i just need to keep focus the whole fight. I ease up when hes got like 40-50 hp left and I get combod in like a few ticks
It gets harder the lower hp the boss gets!

Ive been trying this on mobile. had hunlef at 200hp but get destroyed by the nadoes. I have the normal gauntlet down but holy moly corrupted is insane

Iv only been able to manage 3 cg kills with 12min pb iv died like 53 times but I think you should gone more into detail on moving him ciz I do get fked by position alot of the time also I do have question I have 88 range 94 mage an like 78 defense do you think I should lvl up range an mage more b4 I grind cg cuz alot of the time I just can't hit him an il die il avoid tornados tiles an do perfect pray flicks but il legit run outta prayer b4 with like 10 food left I run t1 armor an range an mage

I would definitely recommend like 90+ combat stats before farming Corrupted.
Of course it can be done before, but it really is end-game content so high stats would benefit you a lot.
In terms of moving, I only ever moved the boss when I had to. Sometimes you just get the shittiest positioning and you have to move the boss. Just move under right as the boss attacks you so you don’t get stomped.
Most of the time I just waited at the door until it pathed into a good spot. Obviously time after prep is a luxury. Better stats and more practice would help with that a lot!
I also started using T2 armor when I could tell supplies were plentiful and it feels so nice, lol.
Any explanation to why I sometimes get hit by the tornado if I run through it?
Running through the tornadoes requires you to be tick perfect. Personally I don’t run through them at all just to avoid randomly dying and wasting an entire attempt. From what I gather, it’s similar to running through the lightning in the Olm fight.
Sometimes you will get hit sometimes not. Thats because when you run you essentially skip a tile. When you dont get hit you are skipping the tile the tornados are on when you step over. When you do get hit you are standing on the same tile. So really its all about how close they are to you when you start the run. Technically it is "tick perfect" but thats not a very good explanation for why it happens
turn on real tile indicator on runelite and you can see why sometimes youll step on the same tile and sometimes youll skip over it

I'm still new to CG but I don't think it's that tough to learn, I think most of the damage that I take is quite cheap. The small damage that the boss deals to you really adds up over time but it's fine mostly, but the tornados can easily cause unavoidable damage in the later phases of the fight, because even if you dodge them the chances are you've got to run across a lava tile if you have a bad setup. That being said I still fail more than I win so I'm definitely not an authority on this, and I don't do any advanced stuff like redemption flicking.
Yeah, once you get the hang of it and used to all of the floor patterns it gets a lot better.
Sometimes I’ll have a full inventory of food, not miss a single prayer flick, and STILL run out of food by the end, lmao.
I only try Redemption Flicking in desperate situations. Most of the time I just die, lol.
I've got 11 kills and the game thinks I am a veteran so I guess I am semi experienced lol.

is the 5:1 method still worth it even with the staff buff?
I think with Rigour it’s still a bit faster, but I only ever did 5:1 when absolutely necessary (if I fucked up and didn’t get a T3 weapon or something)
I always just tried to get the staff & bow combo and did it normally. The buff to the staff helps out so much and that combo is definitely the easiest.

I guess it depends on the layout you're given.
If you're given tons of armor resources then hell yeah go T2 Armor and less food.

@@divisejohnson1951 I gave the T2 armor a shot for quite a few runs and I feel like the prep takes longer sometimes.
You have to get kinda lucky and actually get 3 nodes for each resource, then sometimes you have to go grind out more shards because the few fish, herbs, and bosses you kill don't give always give you enough shards for a full set of T2 armor.
Definitely play with it, though! There's a noticeable difference in the damage you take. The accuracy doesn't change much, though.

Get to the point where you can practically do the Normal Gauntlet with your eyes closed and then move on to corrupted. Also keep in mind that it’s hard!! Really hard, lol.
