@YasmineGalenornOfficial I'm a 'cat-person', _too._ As for animal videos, I pretty much only watch _this_ channel, and 'Hope For Paws' (animal rescues, mostly stray/homeless dogs). I want to say that the whining was from Soapy's fear that you would do what her previous groomers had done, but as you were giving her her blow dry and brushing, it looked like she felt a lot better. The before and after shots are amazing, and this is one beautiful dog!
Yeah, my thoughts exactly. It's funny... I watch a channel with a very high content wolfdog and a husky (both house pets), and just yesterday I saw someone comment that the wolfdog needs a groom, but that maybe they just think that because they've been watching Girl With The Dogs, and then went on to say that Vanessa probably wouldn't want to deal with either of them. I replied that she'd definitely take the husky, and she says she gives everyone a chance, and I bet she'd take a low-content or well-socialized wolfdog, but I'm not sure about Kane (he's skittish around strangers plus doesn't like his feet touched)... I said she has muzzles and can hook him into her groomer's helper equipment, but his sheer strength might be too much for that... I also said she sometimes uses an assistant, but that might not be too helpful in his case, unless maybe his owner stayed to assist. But he doesn't need a groom anyway, because his owner keeps him brushed, especially when he blows his coat in the springtime. Anyway, what a coincidence that I just said yesterday that I could see her taking certain wolfdogs, and now today it seems she may have (even if she didn't know it)!
"Now, I will spend the rest of my life brushing out this disaster." 😂 You are awesome and hilarious! I love your channel and your sense of humor! Keep doing what you're doing! ❤

Thank you for dedicating so much time to Soapy! I bet she feels SO good having all that shed removed and air and water touching all those areas! I bet she feels light as a feather and that boost to her overall comfort will add to her recovery!
This is so important! I have what I’ve recently come to understand is a double coated shorthair cat (this can happen) and she’s always been extremely fearful of the brush so I pretty much let her self-groom so as to not give her an unpleasant experience. It was only through this channel that I started learning what I might need to look for and when I got a slicker brush, seriously, it was the first time I actually found something she not only tolerates but even seems to like. I think her fear came from other brush types catching in her undercoat and hurting. Finding out a good brush exists was such a relief for both of us. ❤

@@blazelightshine2311 keep making excuses, you just make yourself look like a clown
Soapy and Sophie have nothing in common, you can't mishear it. And if you can't spell Soapy then go back to kindergarten/pre-school
@Emily Bondevik such a rude comment.. full of assumptions.. the phrase Don't believe everything your brain tells you definitely applies to this..
@@RimFaxxe it’s a dog you freak calm down
Definitely one of your Greatest Grooms of All-time. She looks absolutely incredible.
There is so much fluff. She's mixed with a cloud.shes precious. You did an amazing job she looks so pretty
Girl (With the Dogs), at this point, it's not just ONE glass of wine that you need. It's a full bottle ! 🤣
Here's to you and Soapy.
After a similarly exhausting day, I once had someone tell me, "Girl, get yourself a bottle of wine on the way home. And don't bother about the glass, just chug it straight out of the bottle!!" 🤣🤣
Wine and cheesecake
I was gonna say -- depending on your preference, I am going to recommend a tasty Australian shiraz to go with a hearty steak and potato dinner (or maybe a surf-n-turf option if you also like shrimp.) 😁
Soapy is so beautiful. Soapy likes to sing.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Will Soapy's coat be able to recover and be repaired from past damage?
How wonderful that her owners were willing to travel so far to make sure she got the grooming she needed.
She's beautiful.
If there's no localised alopecia, it'll.
If it's properly cared for going forward, eventually the damaged hair will shed out. But it takes a long time.
I love how you educate while you entertain. I'm not a dog person (I'm a cat person), but I like dogs and I love watching your channel. It's soothing, in many ways, and watching your patience with the animals is calming.
@YasmineGalenornOfficial I'm a 'cat-person', _too._ As for animal videos, I pretty much only watch _this_ channel, and 'Hope For Paws' (animal rescues, mostly stray/homeless dogs). Anyways, about a year ago, 'Girl With The Dogs' groomed a Husky named 'Fredo'. I fell in love with Fredo, lol. 💗 He's hilarious. You may have seen his video already but in case you haven't, the title of the video I'm referring to is "Hilarious dramatic Husky throws a temper tantrum". During the blow-drying scene, Fredo is 'singing the song of his people' and it sounds like he's yelling 'Help me !" over & over. (Huskies are very 'vocal', as you probably know.) 😂
She is BEAUTIFUL
Your videos are therapy for me
Its heartbreaking how much damage can be caused to these innocent creatures by incompetent groomers. Thank God her owners found you and you were able to get her on the road to recovery. Thank you for caring and giving so much to these wonderful babies ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Lol.
Dramaqueen
I dont mean to s sound homophobic but why you gotta bring the LGBTQ colors or the LGBTQ thing in a video about dogs like alright bro chill we know your LGBTQ. I support LGBTQ but one thing straight people do better, is that they dont rub it in your face that they're straight, whereas the LGBTQ makes it a personality like damn

@@mathmanchris666 ? this comment just used rainbow hearts? after thanking vanessa for recovering this poor dog’s mistreated coat? The only one who brought up the LGBT group is you…💀

Best before and after ever on your channel!
I bet her owners felt the drive was even more worth it being able to learn what caused her coat damage and were able to learn how to repair the damage. The end results on soapy are amazing!
I want to say that the whining was from Soapy's fear that you would do what her previous groomers had done, but as you were giving her her blow dry and brushing, it looked like she felt a lot better. The before and after shots are amazing, and this is one beautiful dog!
She is gorgeous.😍
Sophie seems to have a touch of wolf hybrid in her face. The discussion of coat damage due to improper grooming was enlightening 👍.
I thought that, too! Something in her face…
I see the same…wolf hybrid in there, for sure…..such a beautiful girl!
I think it’s the eyes.
I think imo she must be half malamute with her thick her coat is imo
"Now, I will spend the rest of my life brushing out this disaster." 😂
You are awesome and hilarious! I love your channel and your sense of humor! Keep doing what you're doing! ❤
OK let's give this Girl pet groomer of the Year Award 🏆👍🐕
This transformation was increíble, you are amazing Soapy 🤩
Vanessa is so amazingly knowledgeable and empathetic towards animals, I wouldn't want anyone but her working on a dog, if I ever owned one.
Shepherd/Collie mix? Beautiful! Amazed at what you do
Your professionalism and kindness towards animals is something to be admired. I don't own a pet personally but do love dogs so much and the way you figured out what the problem was and a solution made me happy. I love your content and deadpan humor. Thank you so much!
Lovely comment! 😊😊
What a BEAUTIFUL girl!!
I'm so happy you could help out Soapy with that coat. That sweet doggo must be so much more comfortable now. She certainly made it sound like you were the one killing her rather her destroying your arms.
Once I saw the heterochromia eyes I knew she was dealing with a husky mix. Also I think she might be mixed with a Rough collie and/or Australian shepherd.
I also thought Aussie shepherd. She’s beautiful!
I Thought Great Pyrenees.
I was thinking Retriever when she mentioned the back legs. They are prone to Joint Issues.
Definitely thinking an aussie mix... reminds me of my aussie
Almost identical face to my first Aussie Shepherd when I was a teenager.
Soapy is gorgeous and so patient with the grooming process. You can tell she feels SO much better with all that undercoat removed!
This groom showcased your expertise when it comes down to different breeds and coat-types but also the dedication. Brushing all those undercoat-balls out one by one shows how good you are at your job.
Really enjoyed your narration on this vid!
She’s going to have such a better summer now! ❤
She looks AWESOME!!!
You treat each client critter with much love and respect. You have an excellent work ethic. To you their welfare comes first. You are generous with your time and are community minded. And you take the time to educate the owners. I appreciate that you are scrupulously honest and consistently of good humour. Vanessa you are magnificent !
Well said!

I must completely agree with this well crafted kudo. Vanessa, you deserve EVERY bit of recognition and success. You have EARNED it!!! ❤❤❤🎉❤❤❤
There is nothing quite like the sound of petting a good dog on the lungs like the last moments of the video!
Thanks for always sharing the good bois and goils. And the naughty ones too.
👍👍👍 you helped this dog!
seriously without even considering the eye colors, you can just SEE the husky just in her facial expressions 🤣🥰
Alot of breeds have blue eyes though.. like my pup, australian shepherd

You did a great job on Soapy; she looks so nice in the after-pictures!
Thank you for taking the time to give her a proper groom and help fix her coat. I absolutely adore your dedication to helping pets 💕
How touching the owners traveled 20 hours to have her groomed by you! The knowledge you have is incredible.
My goodness, look at the improvement to this beautiful girl! Thanks for sharing your hard work
You are such a professional, thoughtful and patient. You need to charge properly for your time. You are clearly very very good; people will (should) pay properly for that level of care (and outcomes)!
Your knowledge on different breeds is invaluable!
Wow! That’s incredible. I imagine the dog must feel wonderful.
Poor baby. She is so beautiful
Showed this to my husband because I knew he would appreciate your bf's.. contribution. He said "well I guess it's universal" lol . What a good dog she is.. I hope she's not suffering too much for the errors of previous groomers and thank you for doing all this work on her!
He's the camera man they are not dating
Great job on the grooming, she looks 100% better.
As soon as I saw the soap disappearing into Soapy's coat I knew there was damage under there somewhere. 3 hours is a lot of time, but you did a beautiful job as always. You are a blessing for those who are seeking the assistance of a groomer who knows what she's doing. 20 hours is a long time, but so worth it. Thank you for all that you do for us, you fans, your clients, and of course for the lessons on each type of dog that you groom, plus the bonus treats of what to expect with each breed. Am presently hunting/shopping for a Maine Coon, a cat that my husband has wanted since he was a young child and I am going to find him one or two. We will have 10 acres of land to let them explore with the dogs we will be giving forever homes to as well.
Kudos to Vanessa and Soapy for surviving- that was almost painful to watch, it was so intense! But the results are magnificent! ❤
Thank you for dedicating so much time to Soapy! I bet she feels SO good having all that shed removed and air and water touching all those areas! I bet she feels light as a feather and that boost to her overall comfort will add to her recovery!
Wow! You did such a great job on Soapy! What a difference. You're the best! ❤
