I don't know if it was their intent, but for those who feel these children are too young to be recalling these things, I do honestly feel it is beneficial to them to process their sorrow and fears and talk about it publicly. I know it's not the same, but I recall reading that in cases of children that were victimized by predators, it was more "therapeutic" in the long run for the children to offer testimony in court, even though the prevailing thought is that the children should be spared the trauma of having to recall the crimes.

We're going to have to start explaining to children that, events like this are actually normal. They continue to happen at an increasing rate, and society cannot ever agree and take any kind of action (on guns, on mental health, on safety protocols, on funding any of it). There's a firefighter who quit his job and launched a company that sells bullet proof vests for young children that they can fit in their binder or their backpack, to pull out and put on during a lockdown. There are videos of the product on UA-cam. This *is* our new normal, until we reach a consensus that it shouldn't be. Thinking-and-praying it away isn't working.

Not scared beyond words that he could turn around any second and come back in. But here she is checking kids to see who’s alive , looking at Children who were said by MSM news were unrecognizable.

No kid should have to stand in front of a camera and recount this while her parents stand next to her. They know her story by now, they could be shielding her by being the ones who relay the story, not having her relive it over again in front of America. There's two possibilities, either he walked outside the room to go through the hallway again to get into another class
      Or
The two rooms is conjoined together by a door/hallway inside the classroom. Think of hospital rooms that have a joint bathroom where patients on either side can enter. Usually these 'hallways" are extra storage spaces for the teachers to put items, like a walk in closet. In HS my homeroom had this feature to connect all the art classrooms together
We really can't say for sure unless we have an image of the room or layout to see because there was two classrooms shot but having access to one gives you access to the other.

I cannot bear to hear anymore stories of innocent children, like they’re still babies, lose their precious lives so soon. No child should have to sit for over an hour to get help. Those officers should be ashamed of themselves for cowering outside while these children were basically slaughtered. So many could have survived if they went in sooner. This is why I'm very confused as to how this teacher claims she removed the prop and the door shut behind her but didn't lock. It makes no sense whatsoever. Unless the prop was still there, again these doors are heavy they'll literally take a finger if you're not careful. But most eerie was the teacher's very first interview. Made them bear witness, in front of all, to the atrocities they were responsible for. Having to truly face the consequences of your decisions...without the ability to shy away from your direct link in the end result. Tragedies of this magnitude, real human lives lost, and for what??
