My first legit job was high paying. Nagsplurge talaga ako sa dining out, I tried lots of hyped restos and food parks kasi I never got to try those as I was broke nung college. Also, I was in the cinema a lot then coffee shop after. Presently, I changed careers and my compensation is significantly lower than my first job but I get to save so much more because I cut off all unnecessary expenses. Suggestion for next video best purchases/investment in your 20s.😊
Ok lang yun, at least you got to experience what you didn't during college, reward kumbaga, di mo naman alam kung hanggang kelan ka mabubuhay so gawin na ang mga gustong gawin.
Memeh Shannon That’s the ideal scenario. However, there are instances when that’s not necessarily the case. For instance, I chose to change my career because although I had a competitive salary from my previous job, I didn’t see it as sustainable in the long run (i.e contract-based job). I had to accept a lower compensation for my next job because I had zero experience in that field but it was sustainable. The career change and the salary reduction was stressful but it did not take long for me to get a salary raise as I got more intentional with my professional growth.

Hi! So true about not opting for installment. I’d liketo debunk the misconception about 0% interest marketing. What 0% interest actually means is there is no interest STATED. Because it is only IMPLIED, which means nakasama na sya sa binabayaran mo every due date. Pag tinotal mo lahat ng babayaran mo, mas mahal sya. So its better to be patient nalang and save for it. Perks nun, magkakapag-isip ka pa if you really need that thing.
Be very careful when you say it like this, hindi talaga included ang interest sa mga 0% interest-installments. The real pitfall of 0% interest-installments is the person being irresponsible of how he/she handles his/her money at hand. "Ah mababa lang monthly, kaya ko pa bumili ng other stuff". Missed a payment? I agree with your 1-time payment mindset, I do it too, pero there are things that are impossible to pay outright (i.e. 6 digit necessities). Pay on time -> skip bank interests -> build your credit standing for being a good payer -> be happy :D
Nikkol John Morales hi! Thanks for pointing it out :) But could you clarify it more to me with examples? And possibly the basis kung ano ikakaso ko sa store? Coz I’ve seen a payment schedule of an installment-based motorcycle and yes, mas malaki yung total payments via installment kesa sa cash price nya. And my CPA profs has told us many times that 0% is just marketing pero in reality, may interest talaga ang installment payments. So I’d be happy to discuss it more with you para naman ma-educate natin ang ibang viewers dito on that topic. Thank you 🤗
@@maryannviccortes1766 Hi, I have to apologize, I made that statement without further research, pero for sure may pwede ka i-kaso sa store under the grounds of misleading information or deception if ang sabi nila 0% interest pero mas mataas ang sum of payments mo sa SRP 😅 As for vehicle purchases, as much as I know, very rare ang 0% interest sa in-house financing (impossible if bank loan). Almost all the time may interest yun, and dapat ineexplain ng maigi sa buyer. Most people fall for low monthly payments, and dealers use that as leverage para makakuha ng buyer agad, they skip explaining interest rates. Di pa ako nakakita ng "0% interest" sa vehicle purchases, it's either a really good find or there is a twist somewhere along the way. For example, 5 years to pay pero 3 years lang dun yung 0% interest, that's a perfect example of what you said na marketing strategy. "0% interest" tapos may sobrang liit na fine print "for x years only". If hindi yan naexplain sa buyer, intentionally, at wala sa kahit anong pinirmahan ni buyer, then that's where pwede mag file ng case (again di ko pa alam specific cases, sorry T.T) because naloko ang buyer into something that he/she didn't sign up for. I hope na-explain ko ng maayos.
Based on mga credit card 0% interest. Talagang 0% interest sya. Same ang total mo at the end. They are banking on the fact na gumastos ka kasi afford mo to buy in smaller amount. Parang they're pushing you to buy something you can't afford yet. Buy now than later yung idea. Also, they're hoping you miss your payments so they'll charge you the interest sa card. Pero if you don't miss any payments. It's 0%. Usually they give you all the sample computations upfront basahin mo nalang.
Im 22 yrs old. And watching this video is an eye opener for me. And it's very hard to say no. But thanks for the advice! I'll always remember it. Lend the money that I want to let go.
It's really an eye opener for me! I'm 19 years old na and this is my first job. Its really hard na mag ipon lalo na fresh grad ka then maliit pa yung sahod mo. I'm taking notes sa lahat ng advices mo! I will put it in my journal para lagi ko silang makikita. Thank you very much!
Natuto rin ako from my last contract (I work as seafarer kaya may contract). Then coronavirus came.
I recently turned 20 and I totally relate with the points you mentioned. My allowance increased as well as college stress. My coping habits became really expensive. Goin to restos, buying expensive unnecessary things, and watch movies. My savings got stuck for a year, but Im doing something now 😊 thank you ate for telling me Im at the right track
I'm in my 20's po ngayon and all i can say is ang sarap po makinig sa inyo dahil sobrang nakakarelate po ako and so inspiring dahil andami ko pong narerealize at natututunan. Godbless po!
Thank you so much for this!! Sobrang nakarelate ako dito. Lahat ata nagawa ko and mooore. Maybe I could add simple tip sa mga nagsstart pa lang magwork or magsave, please llease please build your emergency fund first before investing sa car or house kung sakto lang meron kayo. Kasi you'll never know pag bigla may emergency (illness, accident, job loss, dearh, etc). Atleast may makukuhanan kayo if ever may mangyari.
I just realized I'm already successful thanks to this video. I agree na social media triggers envy kaya di natin narirealize na we have different definition of success. I always feel na napag-iiwanan ako just because hindi ako sumasabay sa bandwagon and di ko magawa yung patravel ng iba. Pero realizing na I'm just 22 and I'm paying the bills in our house in send my 3 siblings to school plus the fact that I am able to save money, I just can't believe I am able to do all these.I finally appreciate my hardwork. Thank you so much! You just made me subscribe to your channel. Lovelots and more great content!
I started to save money noong nasa elementary pa lang ako. I used to keep all the 1 peso sa alkansya or wallet ko. Kahit na 100 pesos lang baon ko per day, I still save the excess money from it. And when I really want something nagiipon talaga ako and I also plan kung magkano dapat ang pera na dapat i-keep ko per day in order for me to reach my target amount of money sa day na na-set ko. And somehow yung pagiipon ko ay nakatulong din sa family ko specially now na we’re struggling financially, may nadudukot akong pera to support our basic needs. Small amount but still helpful. I know how to save na but this video really helped me a lot to learn new things and to assess myself more kung tama ba yung pagiipon na ginagawa. Sobrang disiplina lang talaga sa sarili when it comes to saving money kasi hindi lang temptation ang kalaban mo, ikaw mismo ang kalaban mo. Salamat ulit nang marami for sharing your experience and knowledge.
@Isaac I think around 25-28. And ang dami mong matutunan sa kanya pero she's still so young. It's really impressive. I always listen to her advice napakahelpful. Ms.Thea is a wholesome youtuber :)
That they should spend very wisely and avoid these mistakes. Kase kahit ako din ganito naging mindset ko and I'm still working on it to lessen my spending na hindi naman worth it tlaga. Thank you for this video 💕
I absolutely agree with these! My grandmother saved up her money from her 20s until her retirement instead of splurging frequently. Now, whenever she needs to go to the doctor or wants to buy something to make her latter years more comfortable, she doesn’t have to worry about where to get money, nor does she have to ask from her children for support.
I'm two months late for this video, but so glad yt recommended it. Sobrang quality content girl. MORE Filipinos need to listen/watch these kinds of content. And thank you for the no-nonsense delivery na clear and smart. Thank you din for doing away with annoying jeje effects. 10/10
My priority back then is traveling while most friends collect shoes and clothes. I look homeless AF pero OK lng kasi I don't feel the need para bumili ng branded stuff. Hahaha
Hi Ms. Thea! Ang galing mo dito sa video nato. For a way beyond 20's like me, this is, simply put, everything was well said and realization kicks in, continously!!! Hahaha! Galing!
You deserve a lot more subscribers!!! Grabe the best! Still a student but this is really helpful as I spend so much money on online shopping and concerts hahaha
Same money mistakes i did in my 20s and now im turning 30 next year hopefully ma revamp ko yung finances ko. mostly nag splurge ako on travelling but no regrets at all! Still one of the best experience during your 20s! I recommend to read a lot of financial books it will help you motivate to reach your goals! Sana more on adulting videos pa magawa mo thea! Great job on this topic!
Saw this on my related vids. Good to see someone na 20's and nagbibigay ng financial advice at may laman ang sinasabi hindi mindless basura content. New subscriber ako agad 😊
Super helpful. Same here. Nung nalaman ko na ang value ng money i really worked hard to have my savings. And until now by God’s grace nagiincrease sya. :) great video Thea🤗😉
Bakit ngayon ko lang to napanood? 😭 so helpful! Most of what you discussed, ganon na ganon rin nagagawa ko up until now. Pero thank you for this!
I know you probably won't see this comment. But i thank YT algorithm for letting me find you, thank you so much ate for your tips. Super inspiring mo po talaga!!
So glad I found this video right now that I am currently on my early 20s. 🥺💗 Sobrang laking tulong kasi nag hahanap talaga ako ng ways on how I should spend my income wisely.
Thanks girl im amazed that at a young age you already realize that..akong ako ung mga sinabi mo pero thankfully I already learned to value my hard-earned money.. really appreciate this content :)
Bakit ngayon lang kita nakita?! Kanina pa ko pa ko nagma-marathon. Time check 3:53am, at may pasok pa ko at 8am mamaya. Hindi ako maka stop eh nakakahype yung topics mo haha. Thanks for this. Keep it up! You earned a subscriber 😊
As a college student in her last sem, this video is super helpful! I recently just got a part time job, and got my first sweldo. I immediately watched this video para ma educate ako on how to handle my finances since I have limited knowledge pa. Thank you so much Ms. Thea! Looking forward to more Tita Talks 💞
Super guilty ako dun sa lahat ng pera ko nasa isang account lng.. kaya di ko maiwasan gumastos... pero more naman for my family... Super thank you for this ms Thea. I hope this year mas madagdagan yung ipon naming mag jowa...
Super helpful nito ms. 😂 but this one is really helpful how to spend money wisely since i’m on my 20th thank you so much for this ms. thea! 😊
Thank you so much for this! Pwede po ba kayong gumawa ng Intro to Adulting or Adulting 101 especially sa finance, saving, and investment aspects 😭 I think clueless unemployed fresh grads like me would really appreciate it 😭 you're one of my favorite Pinoy UA-camrs and sana mas marami pa ang magpost ng helpful adulting content like you. More power and stay kind, Ms Thea! 💖
Iba iba tayo ng definition of success👍👍👍 Yes!! like yung iba may magandang bahay na o sasakyan.. pero ako nakafocus pa palaguin ang maliit naming negosyo.. kasi yung goal ko palakihin mu na ang pera, dapat stable muna ang negosyo at kumikita na ng malaki kasi in the end mabibili mu dn lahat ng needs mu soon.
I'm in my end of 20's and I'm still learning to finance my money. Before spending money, I think about it first if do I really need it. I used to splurge a lot on material things because I see others doing the same thing but then I learned that I do not really need them. Also material things add too much clutter in my place so I always do mindfull shopping.
Grabe ngayon ko lang to nakita at sising sisi ako. I'm working sa BPO company and as a 19 year-old, sobrang laki na ng 23K na salary per month. Thank you po Ms. Thea! Eye opener talaga to.
I've been a subscriber like weeks ago miss thea, pero grabe andaming informative adulting vids, and that's what I want to see more often. Dahil di nmn tayo bumabata.. Tatanda rin pagtagal. More vids to come and wishing you more subs! 🙏😊
Rule: Never lend money, especially yung may tubo. Because people don't feel pressured na magbayad agad since "may tubo" naman na and they can pay whenever they want, and kung lumagpas man sa deadline people feel na pwede namang patungan na lang ulit. Also, nawawala yung utang na loob ng tao since may tubo naman na. Everything becomes pure business.
FINALLY! It's super nice to watch videos like this hoping to see more content like this po! 😍 Like: Budgeting Video for Minimum income earner, Stuff I regret buying, Saving Tips, Money hacks (passive income or like recommend side hustle) 💖

I was just scrolling through youtube then I saw this video. Thank you po for this video. I am 19 years old and going to 20. I hope po sana more vid on finance tips.
#3 grabe tinamaan ako huhu feeling like a loser with others sucess. 😔 Thank you so much for this video! Sobrang helpful, very informative. More videos like this please 🙂
Sa lahat ng youtuber/influencer/vlogger na pina-follow ko, isa ito or should I say na ito lang yung may sense talaga yung mga content. Agree? More power Ate Thea.
But I'm just an average earner that time (my early 20's) Now, I'm working hard to keep and prolong my business
Meron na kong bagong mantra, "If you can't buy it twice, you can't afford it." and it helped me so much huhu. And I started decluttering my makeup and ang dami ko palang makeup na binili ko without even reaching for them at all and parang narealize ko ang sayang pala kasi kahit affordable pero pag pinatong patong yung presyo ng bawat product, ang laki na sana nasave ko if I didn't buy those products. I'm still a student pero I'm guilty of buying affordable things I don't need lol.
Thank you Ms Thea for this. I have a lots of regret on my lifestyle in the past few years. In my first job, I also got my first credit card since I have a savings account to on that bank so they offered me a credit card not 1 but 3 haha. Then, I spent it on unnecessary things for the last 5years and realize I don’t enough money for my savings and I need to close some of my credit card since I maxed it already. So, I need to settle the unbilled amount of my previous purchases and luckily it’s not 6digits but for me it’s a large amount already. Now, I’m old I know how to value money and save as much I could. Btw, I’m using your budget planner template. It’s very helpful to me and I see all my expenses and saving on one sheet. Thank you so much. 🥰 More power and video, Ms Thea. ❤️

I’m 20 years old and I’m a fresh grad. This is so helpful in planning my future!! Thank you so much 💖
Malapit na ako magwork. I really needed this. Thank you, Ateee!! ❤️❤️
Lovelots and more great content!
wow your amazing po
Thank you! ❤
Can't believe I'm in the stage that I watch vids like this. Very helpful, more of this content!!!
I love this video Ate Thea! ❤️
Aww thank you, Ry! ♥️
How old is this girl?
@Isaac I think around 25-28. And ang dami mong matutunan sa kanya pero she's still so young. It's really impressive. I always listen to her advice napakahelpful. Ms.Thea is a wholesome youtuber :)
That they should spend very wisely and avoid these mistakes. Kase kahit ako din ganito naging mindset ko and I'm still working on it to lessen my spending na hindi naman worth it tlaga. Thank you for this video 💕
I am now 32 years old and I honestly relate with everything that you shared. I will now start on saving and be thrifty.
Do you trade forex??
@@rohemyflaga6284 I do not have idea 😅
I absolutely agree with these! My grandmother saved up her money from her 20s until her retirement instead of splurging frequently. Now, whenever she needs to go to the doctor or wants to buy something to make her latter years more comfortable, she doesn’t have to worry about where to get money, nor does she have to ask from her children for support.
Thank you for this Ms. Thea!!! I learned a lot 💯 more tips po for young adults like me and fresh graduates!!
Omo Ate Tyra!😍 Congrats ulit sa graduation mo💖
Thank you, Tyra!!! Congrats sa graduation 👩🎓♥️✨
@Tyra C. care for helping stay forever in my house watch, like, comment and click and I'll do the same in your house
Um guys,who is this girl?
I'm two months late for this video, but so glad yt recommended it. Sobrang quality content girl. MORE Filipinos need to listen/watch these kinds of content. And thank you for the no-nonsense delivery na clear and smart. Thank you din for doing away with annoying jeje effects. 10/10
My priority back then is traveling while most friends collect shoes and clothes. I look homeless AF pero OK lng kasi I don't feel the need para bumili ng branded stuff. Hahaha
I love your content, girl. Pinagisipan. Hindi time waster. May natututunan. Thank you. Please keep it up. 💜
Hi Ms.

Yes!! like yung iba may magandang bahay na o sasakyan.. pero ako nakafocus pa palaguin ang maliit naming negosyo.. kasi yung goal ko palakihin mu na ang pera, dapat stable muna ang negosyo at kumikita na ng malaki kasi in the end mabibili mu dn lahat ng needs mu soon.
i super LOOOOOOOVE your videos Thea! :) Hope to meet you one day! Much love! - Ate Martha
Hello ate martha!! Thank you ♥️♥️♥️ Hope to meet you soon din po 😊
Hi ate! *Curious about ING bank, do you think it is safee? 🤔
It is governed by bsp 😊 and covered sya ng PDIC up to 500K insured same with other traditional banks. Btw 2.5% na pala rate nila 👍🏻
Grabe ngayon ko lang to nakita at sising sisi ako.
I'm working sa BPO company and as a 19 year-old, sobrang laki na ng 23K na salary per month.
Thank you po Ms. Thea! Eye opener talaga to.
Aww ok lang yan!! Youre still 19 and maganda na as early as now conscious na kayo sa finances nyo ❤️
Disappointed that suddenly the english turns to be mix of english and filipino so now i am 100% unsure what you say
Since last week I've been binge-watching your videos. It is really helpful and worthy of subscription!
I hope I can find a partner with this kind of mentality...Smart is the new sexy...👌👍🌈
😭😭 super useful sana for 2019 me. Pero better late than never. Thanks Ms. Thea!
I love the way you talk hindi siya bohring. 💛 so nice topic.

SocMed is just a highlight reel. You wouldn't know what's happening behind those curated posts
I COULD WATCH AND LISTEN TO YOU WHOLE DAY. THIS IS VERY TRUE AND IT'S ACTUALLY SLAPPING ME LEFT AND RIGHT. :(
Sa lahat ng youtuber/influencer/vlogger na pina-follow ko, isa ito or should I say na ito lang yung may sense talaga yung mga content.
Agree?
More power Ate Thea.
Mine is:
- ginawa akong takbuhan ng mga kakilala
- mahilig ako mang treat (food/parks/cinema/shopping na din at times)
But I'm just an average earner that time (my early 20's)
Now, I'm working hard to keep and prolong my business
BAKIT NGAYON KO LANG TO NAPANUOD. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Ms. Thea! I just started watching your videos and as a 20 something OFW, I am so inspired! Keep up the great work!
"we have different definitions of success"
right!!
Thank you so much, ate Thea! I'm living for this kind of content. Maybe next vid is tips on how to budget for starters? :)
Sana all. Hindi puro waldas.
