I was at my mama's house making her Halloween wreath and she had this song playing. Mama , my granddaughter, my daughter & my grandson's nurse were dancing in the living room. Lol. Mama is the parent that introduced me to Bob Seger. His music has been passed down the generations in the family. He is my mama's favorite.
When all this music came out I always liked it but sort of took it for granted because there was so much great stuff . Now at 71 I have even more appreciation . I wish something today would come close. The heart of rock and roll is now just a murmur .
I'm from Michigan Bob Seger's Hometown Ann Arbor! He is a Rock & Roll legend!! Bob doesn't have a bad song in my opinion! This version is great but the one from the live album is killer!! Love your channel man! Keep rocking! ✌
Hadn't listened to this song in many years until I accepted a job in Kathmandu almost 3 years ago. Though I'd been here a couple of times in the past it wasn't until we moved here that I realized how much the vibe of the song really fits the place!
Love this song as I do all of Bob's songs. He was such a humble and funny guy when I saw him in concert. Check out his song Get Out of Denver. I left you a link in Discord, with an explanation. Check it out. Great reaction. Take care. *PEACE*
Yes!! One of my top-tier-very-favourite Bob songs... along with the likes of You'll Accomp'ny Me - if you haven't done that one (can't remember off the top of my head if you did or not), I highly recommend you should!
I preferred Old Time Rock and Roll to this one, actually I liked the whole album. I had the album years ago and I think I pretty much wore it out I played it so much. Great music!!
If you want to hear a bit of the country side of Bob, here is a video from his last album. It is a cover of Wilko's California Stars. Here is a link. ua-cam.com/video/HlwXVjsPvuA/v-deo.html
Katmandu came out in 1975. Old Time Rock and Roll came out in 1978. Both were great.
Love this song

This would have been the perfect song for Peter Criss from Kiss to have done. But then again he came close on a Kiss song called Nothing to Loose.

Get out of Denver,,, with lyrics,,
I prefer this to the Live Bullet version because it’s still got the reference to the Midwest. But it’s a bit long.
