Hehe, I managed to break the tiny cable on both tweeters. The left one because I ended up taking i out a few times to make sure it worked and to compare the clips/how it was sitting in the frame and the right one because it was a royal pain to get to fit properly before I realized it needed to be a bit slanted. Oh well, since cables like this are very simple compared to data/usb cables, I managed to shave off the plastic on the tip of the cable and the metal clip/part it was attached to, then I just went at it with soldering until I managed to make some decent soldering, which wasn’t easy with how inexperienced I am. Attached a little bit of shrink wrap and some electrical/insulation tape for good measure and now they work again, seems to be no issues at all from various tests and the solder joint is more robust than before, though not as pretty. I also figured it’s such a small thing that it doesn’t need a super quality solder joint to work normally. Well, whatever. They’re better than the stock speakers no matter what, I’ll give it more thorough test run tomorrow. It’s midnight now. It would’ve been nice if it was mentioned how fragile the small cable is. I was panicking a little before I managed to test that soldering worked even if it was a frustrating thing to do. Also made me panic a bit since not only do I not have the money to buy another set (this one was alreafy pushing it) but it’s also months until the next batch arrive for some reason, I probably got the last ones in Sweden, found a small shop selling its last unit. Also, the crimping wasn’t mentioned at all. I hadn’t crimped that type before but luckily I guessed right and did it correctly. There also wasn’t any obvious markings or instructions on how to connect them other than ”+ -” on the connector, I connected the red cable to plus as that’s normally correct. Might’ve said on the metal plate of the cable but not sure about it. Thought I saw a - before I crimped the last one. Also wasn’t mentioned what to do and not do with the foam ring. I attached it because the old ones had one too, though a bit smaller. I figured another several mm to a cm would be fine in terms of space. Now I just wait for the back door speakers to arrive too.
Is this our domestic Focus or the European version (which is 95% identical)? I ask 'cause I have only seen a Focal system in two cars this side on the Pond. One was a taxi cab whose audiophile driver was uncompromising. It sounded so amazingly good that I just had to ask him "that blows Pioneer, Blaupunk et. al to smithereens, what is it?". The cab wasn't the yellow type, it was either an audi or a BMW, I'm not sure which one. The other chance I had to meet with car audio royalty was when an eccentric acquaintance (carpool buddy) arrived to pick me up one morning driving one of those weird-looking but oh so comfortable Citroen DS. Was factory-fitted with Focal, turned out it was his wife's car and she was a music fiend he told us. Anyway that Citroen was a very quiet car, perfect for enjoying high-quality audio even at 80mph. I often thought of getting Focal gear for my own ride but couldn't justify the expense. Instead I purchased audiophile-grade Focal Elear headphones, ene if I couldn't justify the $1,000 price tag. Been audio happy ever since. Ingenious people the French.
Very useful! But the detail can’t shown on video Especially the removal of the tweeter, Small space and the corner makes it hard to remove. And I scratched my front window vinyl 😢
Hello I have a problem with the right Tweeter of my Focus. When I leave my car under the sun for 4 hours, the sound of the music comes out with a crackle, sometimes, and after 20 minutes does it become normal? Can the Eye damage the Focus Tweeter? thank you for the answer

They have obviously done it many times, but seriously what do you expect them to do? I mean they've shown in as much detail as possible how to do it. They can't magically make it easier. These things are always harder than they look, but this is the only way to do it.

Very misleading. While the steps are correct it's no where near this easy to remove the main door trim from clips.
