Hope you see this!! In Planet Crafter, there's a _very_ hard to find HUGE secret near the starting point. From the osmium cave that's between that big shipwreck and sulfur fields, if you're standing at the middle of the cave entrance looking towards the lake, it's *_almost_* directly southeast (a _hair_ towards south-southeast). Head that direction, and against that cliff (to the right of aluminum fields) you'll see an outcrop with rocks (med/lg rocks instead of just cliff). Towards the left side of the outcrop on the lake floor, there's a rectangular-ish rock that's deconstruct-able. No spoilers, it'll make for a phenomenal clickbait-y title!! Again, very hard to find!
@@PabloEdvardo What did I spoil? Never said what it was, just a detailed description of how to find it cuz it's near impossible. I guess if he finds it, the title will just get him a lot of views and comments that make the algorithm promote the vid... My bad...
You need bypass routes everywhere. Even if the cars needed to take a little detour due to the mixed up junctions, they should never have been forced to enter the internal road network of another district if you had proper segmentation and a highway network.
I do not consider myself a whiz at these types of games but I love them regardless. Infraspace is exactly the birthchild of Factorio and Cities: Skylines that I've been looking for. Thank you R.C.E. for the extremely high quality content. It's entertaining, engaging, it show cases the game itself(and how to make a knob in the game,) and provides a great in-depth look at a game that any prospective buyer can enjoy. Developers should consider themselves blessed when they choose to work with you. I enjoy your POV and way of solving problems. Keep up the amazing work! Love it all!
there are two camps in terms of how Matt builds roads: The first camp loves it, the second camp has severe eye twitches because of how wasteful he is with resources. delete your train line. you seem to be taking us around the moon, when the destination is right across the street. you being extremely wasteful is why your level 6 houses are downgrading. oh, and don't forget to zone the iridium and uranium area so you can export the materials
The table where you set how many people are working in which sector on the upper left is also extremely useful for seeing if there's a shortage of anything. It's really helping me to keep my city from dying so I never close it.
If you need it you can get infinite steel by building a road and connecting a rail to the end of it. When you try to delete the rail it will stay there, but you get the steel!
The one problem I have with games that use agent-based sims with road networks like this is that the game devolves into a stress test of the programmers' traffic simulator more than anything else. Cities:Skylines also has this issue; at its limits it basically just becomes a lesson in how the devs cheat the traffic sim (by despawning excess traffic when speeds get too slow), which is more difficult to handwave in a game that is based solely on resource production and assembly lines.
RCE in Cities Skylines: You'll want to avoid four-way intersections. Stagger them instead! RCE in Infraspace: WHY IS MY TRAFFIC BREAKJING DOWN?!?! THERE'S LITERALLY TNOHING I COULD POSSIBLYDO
It is sadge over the years I have this beautiful man of an engineer turn into an architect, he now uses the strongest shape in the most inefficient ways, he now put display over effectiveness, he now leaves decorations and not using the wasted material on more important projects, now I know why he has put more "against" architect signs in his videos, he is trying to convert the engineers into dirty scoundrels of a profession call an architect This is only for fun, no hates just wanted to show how he changed over the years
I think the traffic issue is because of your road system. It takes so long for deliveries to get anywhere, the suppliers keep sending out more deliveries because there's still demand at the other end. You're ending up with 10 times as many trucks on the roads as you need to meet demand because there's 10 times as much distance to travel, so they get to the residences and you get the traffic jams.
That was a very Biffa solution to traffic- just force two-thirds of the population to leave, and problem solved! When you're trying to fix traffic, what you want to do is follow it forward, not backward. Find the spot that traffic is backing up from. Fix that intersection, then work back from there. Fixing a problem in the middle doesn't really do anything.
