Nanotubes are produced in 2 every 50 seconds and you for neural processors you need 3 every 90 seconds So you can actually have more neutral processors than nanotube factories
@@kevinhamilton9071 building in one large city starts getting a problem later on. My next try will be splitting up the city into maybe 3 or 4 areas, but also with super high speed connection. Traffic in industrial area was much worse. Was tinkering with a small bit of one way, but traffic clogged up endless.
@@spedi6721 mine is the problem of residential. I tried traffic different routes 1 ways I haven't used trains but I might do a new city and make different residential areas
Strange how he’s supposedly an engineer, but he builds so many unnecessary roads for aesthetics, and took so long to find out the most efficient way to loop trains around.
16:40 I believe you can put everything back up to 100% production. And one more heads up, add more trains, they are taking too long to deliver anything at around. Also, you connect to plant to the carbon factory, so no one is using the trains. Traffic, light might do the trick to solve you massive traffic jam from every direction in and out of the city.
I absolutely love this series, even if Matt has built architect inspired railways and highways that are overly complicated and zig zaggy just for looks 🤔 lol and has used up all his steel reserves, if he used all those rss for a better road network he wouldn't have so many traffic jams. P.s. bring back the paddy plushie!!!! I didn't get a chance to get one last time
Love how he is selecting all these buildings with "storage output full" and stating he needs to build more of them before building the neural processors factories.
I love the silly, "scenic" roads and the refusal to make them more efficient once placed =D You also may want to check your math(s) for the neural processor facilities.
i spent hours working on traffic lights on a single junction to be in time with everything else. the traffic flow was so hight, it was a nightmare to find a balance for good efficiency. but i made it work and i am so happy. warning, if you upgrade the road with traffic lights on, you have to put the traffic lights back on. the timings fortunately stay, but you have to select which directions are going again. hopefully the devs will fix that, because that's frustrating.
Electrical engineer here: Traffic is a very big thing and complicated because of the tons of factories. I played it through 2 times and ended up needing 10k citizens to get it decently efficient taking advantage of the building bonuses. You have A LOT of work ahead! Enjoy :)
RCE:"Hmm the outgoing storage of electronics is full..." Also RCE:" Let's build more electronics" xD You don't need so much factories for home robots, they are produced in 10packs, so your demand should fill up pretty fast. Also check the demand on the production screen, you will know if you are producing enough computers for instance ;) Hope you keep up the series till the end!
I suggest to research "Particle Filter" so that you can individually produce Oxygen and Carbon, and twice as faster (Atmosphere Processor took 16 s while Oxygen Processor and Carbon Processor only use 8 s), it'll be helpful a lot for the Steel Mill and Nanotubes Factory, especially.
At 16:40 in the production overview you can also check whether you your production queues are balanced (i.e. if you did the math right....). There you see for the nanotubes a production of 72.6 (whatever the unit) and a demand of 8.5. So your neural processor factories dont nearly use up all the educts you produce and you can just put in many more ;) Also its mayb worth checking all the ressources where the production does not meet the demand (orange numbers) to avoid bad surprises of ressource shortage...
As someone who found your channel through the Mini Motorways series, I absolutely want to see more traffic management content. That's far more engineery than basic A to B to C supply chain logistics.
13:50 Thats it!: Space Cities Skylines confirmed :) But where are the roundabouts?, people move to space and forget the single best traffic gridlock reducer on earth :)
You are channelling Biffa now that there are traffic lights to tweak. I have heard if you say "roundabout" three times he will appear and fix your city/factory/planet.
Am I the only one who would be interested in seeing RCE playing a game like this properly? Feels like these city builder games always end up in chaos which is very funny, but would be cool to see what he could do
Part of what interests me in your vids are the fact you have a background in a profession I know nothing about, so when you use your knowledge in games like this I find it fascinating. Do it more please.
I had an actual nightmare last night, where I was in a car with the love of my life, and the car went off a massive clif, I was able to jump out in time, and he was still alive, but there was 0 way to save him because where I was, there was no way to get out. I watched one of your traffic videos last night... I blame youuuuuuUuUUUUuU, not really tho
As someone obsessed with high speed rails I am really excited to see those. P.S. I live in the US and we don't believe in mass transportation, apparently, so I live vicariously through my city builders. My cities:skylines cities are littered with excessive monorail systems.
Gwaggons asking for directions. Local: yeah just go to north on left nut, up and around 69 shaft street, right into right nut lane and then it’s the third house on the left.
Matt, you could replace the concrete six lane roads in the residential area with highways. Since you made the roads in a grid pattern, the houses don't need to connect to the six lanes, they have the smaller roads that would connect to the six lanes
I love how he’s complaining about how long everything takes, but at the same time uses up all his resources building roads and railways that make shipping take forever.
Try alternating strips of electronic parts and the blue building, sandwiching the blue buildings between strips of the green. It might be less efficient for the road/supply system, but +64% (it LOOKED like 4 on each side was possible, but I am not sure) proficiency on each of the blue buildings would be HUGE. I am not certain it would be more efficient, but my Logistical Network Autism Sense is tingling enough to be worth testing it. Especially as the bottleneck seems to be on the output, not the input of raw materials.
Always a lot of fun watching your videos! Seems like you did the math with the absolute product count though, not the production rate, so you could probably just build a whole lot more neural processor factories. Try recalculating while taking the production time into account
No way, my 3 favorite games to see on this channel, all uploaded back to back to back within 3 days! Can we make it 4 and get a Minecraft video tomorrow? Only time will tell...
I for one definitely want to watch traffic modeling... Couldn't be worse than the traffic monitoring of the midwest cities, cause hot damn do we suffer through bullshit lights.
"I feel the screens are too low...". Reminds me of the time I did a halftime show for a short-lived arena football league (not soccer) once. No lie, 90% of the kicks from the defensive side hit the screen (or the underside of it). Didn't bother me though, I got paid well to watch a crappy game, in a place SO not designed for it! We couldn't use small 25 foot pyro charges because 'it might damage the screens'...but the football hitting it numerous times was okay I guess...
"Look at all these over-producing factories! I'm gonna tripple their already excessive production so that I can add more neural factories, despite it being clear as day that it's the nanotubes that are the actual chokepoint keeping us from just producing more neurals!" Ohhh RCE...
I just wanted to pop in and say I've just found you last week and I've probably watched 50 of your videos. You're very entertaining! Thanks for the laughs and I'm excited to keep watching.
You can actually duplicate concrete and steel by putting down a strip of the cheapest road then upgrading it to the most expensive road with a bit more concrete and then demolishing it. The game gives you the resources of the upgraded road and you dont have to spend as much making it
I know you love to build all the weird roads and railways but if you streamline them it won’t take nearly as long for the goods to reach the habitats. Love the videos tho keep it up.
The hardest thing in this game in my opinion is the neural processing factory management. It just hard to manage one of those thing because you will need a lot of thing such as the steel to build the nanotubes factory and nanotubes is pretty slow for me off course i don't know about you? Maybe you guys could have the same problem maybe just maybe
I recommend you try Satisfactory! The best way I could describe it using another game would probably be either "3d factorio" or "first person infraspace but not a city builder".
I know I am very late to these videos but I love how he constantly forgets he has two home appliance locations and two computer locations and always focuses on the smaller one xD
If you look at all your factories supplying your neural processors, they're all full. This is because you mathed something wrong and you have way more supplying them than you need. You could just build more neural processor factories, and be fine.

Hi

Nice april fools joke
think i have this
Matt, as you can see in 12:22 the nanotubes are stacking up meaning you built way to many nanotube factories for those four neural processor factories
But he will need a lot more of those neuro processor factories. I had about 60 to 80. Can't remember right now.
Nanotubes are produced in 2 every 50 seconds and you for neural processors you need 3 every 90 seconds
So you can actually have more neutral processors than nanotube factories
In the same problem. But I'm losing population right now because of traffic jams I'm trying to figure out what to do there

Traffic, light might do the trick to solve you massive traffic jam from every direction in and out of the city.
I think the problem with adding more train is just how much steel he's going to need, especially going by his pass records.
But he did spawn in 1000+ train without using any steel. Well, it did cause a huge frame lag.
I absolutely love this series, even if Matt has built architect inspired railways and highways that are overly complicated and zig zaggy just for looks 🤔 lol and has used up all his steel reserves, if he used all those rss for a better road network he wouldn't have so many traffic jams. They are NOT just for looks. They are very clearly extremely efficient and necessary. Without those roads, all of society would fall apart.
lol
