This is definitely different. I've been a BP fan since day 1 and there were other songs previously released that I was like "Eeeeeh it's alright", but this one felt different right from the beginning. Everything clicked for me.

I feel like it’s lower in key than their other songs because they usually sing and rap in higher pitch. It’s pleasing to hear this especially for the singing parts in my opinion. It’s not that often in Kpop that people (especially girls) with lower registers get to sing along without having to lower the key (especially with the instrumental) themselves

I still need to get used to it. I think for me the pre-chorus was building up a lot and maybe if they would have had more energy in the second half of the chorus it would have been better for me. But I’m already starting to like it more after I’ve listened to it like 5 times now. If I pit it on in the car I’ll probably like it even better. a lot are saying it's a bad song but I don't think think so... I think the right term is its a bit UNDERWHELMING since they waited for 2 years for this maybe they're expecting some insane loud bass chorus STILL JenLisa ate the rap part tho.

Personally I loved this chorus way more than HYLT's chorus, but I guess that's because I am a 90s kid that loves the 2000s hip hop sound. For me this was their best comeback in a very long time. I definitely recommend people to listen to this song 2-3 times before deciding if they like it.

I think for me the pre-chorus was building up a lot and maybe if they would have had more energy in the second half of the chorus it would have been better for me.
But I’m already starting to like it more after I’ve listened to it like 5 times now. If I pit it on in the car I’ll probably like it even better.
And if I had been a reaction channel I wouldn’t have been too positive either on my first listen. This is more of a slow burner for me

Bc it’s a half assed attempt on a new concept. They should have done a hip hop song. I love the Jenlisa rap but it didn’t match with the vibe of the song at all. Rosie having a guitar and her parts giving a rock n roll vibe when that also makes no sense??? What I like about Anthony is that he acknowledged every single detailed of each member like he appreciates every detail.. that's what a great reaction to a video. i had some low expectations but GAH DAMN it’s so much better than i expected. a really fun solid song + the styling is EVERYTHING
that chorus also caught me off guard, but it grew on me on the 2nd or 3rd listen. it was sort of an 'anti drop'(?) and the delivery feels even cocky-er and swaggy-er like they felt they didn't even have to try too hard to get the msg across. i love the song, and that jenlisa rap is fiiiiiire!!

To me the structure still feels like same as previous TT but the sound it definitely different which I’ll give Teddy credit for. But Jennie really did shine here! She killed her raps.

Coming from a blink since their debut, this is the first time I am thrown off very much by the chorus and the outro.. id have to admit its very different and quite experimental for them... they even didnt say "BLACKPINK IN YOUR AREA"... HOWEVER IM A SUCKER AND A CLOWN FOR THEM, i gave it a couple more listens with earphones, without them, full max volume audio, on speakers.. And IM GLAD AND RELIEVED TO SAY I LOVE IT SO MUCH NOW.. HAHAHAHHAH, maybe my brain and body just couldnt process it at first... But now i appreciate the change in the chorus
The sound is different this time… it sounds like the typical blackpink (especially the ending), BUT they’ve never done switch ups like this and whatnot.
Not me staying up for this and literally falling asleep at 11:40 p.m. 🤣. I won't pretend the chorus is not the weakest point of the song to me but I do think it's a solid pre-release and the rest of the song is so strong this is a time where I feel like their talents don't feel underutilized for any member. Like anyone watching this can see how much the BP girls slay. I think with repetition I would still play this the chorus doesn't ruin it for me or anything but I do feel like there's a direction that they could have taken it in that would have made this one of the best BlackPink songs of all time.
