Cable telescopic sliders 1a
Вставка
- Опубліковано 26 сер 2024
- Input: motor pulley (in violet).
There are two cables, red and blue.
The red cable is wrapped around the green idle pulley of the base runway.
One end of the red cable is fixed to the violet pulley.
The other end of the red cable is fixed to lower pin of the yellow slider.
The blue cable is wrapped around the green idle pulley of the yellow slider.
One end of the blue cable is fixed to lower pin of the base runway.
The other end of the blue cable is fixed to lower pin of the blue slider.
The motor pulls the sliders up. The device to keep the sliders at up positions is not shown. The sliders move down thanks to the gravity.
The blue slider moves twice as fast as the yellow slider.

This is probably one of my favourite Mechanisms.
It was used in a LEGO set as a Extending Crain Boom.
Hey thats right i just realised my 42009 crane uses this!
Thank you very much for many of your interesting informative animations. They awake the curiosity of my childhood that gradually slept as I grew up.
I am about to modify my wall hugger recliners slides so that they will slide out another 4 inches away from the wall. These recliners really need to be placed about 3 inches away from the wall to prevent them from striking the wall. Duh! This cable set up, like you have here, in double action (push/ pull) will accomplish this horizontal tracking nicely. Thanks! This will explain what I envision to my wife quite nicely.
I am from Madrid-Spain, I am confined by coronavirus and I have discovered your videos that are wonderful and I love it. I wanted to know that you use software? Thank you very much for your videos.
All videos in this channel are made in Autodesk Inventor.
I wish you be fine.
Beautifully done, thank you!
I think some extendable ham radio antennas use this same concept

that's wonderful, I wonder if the cable length can be almost constant for the second stage.
The length of the blue cable must be constant.
The blue slider moves twice as fast as the yellow slider.
Dear friend, excellent as usual
Thanks for sharing this! Subscribed!! Do you have a recommendation for increasing strength in the telescoping sections if the lift is carrying an offset load, perpendicular to the design footprint shown here?
I think the section of the sliders in this video is best suited to take the bending load on them.
@thang010146 thank you so much. I appreciate your insight!
Отлично, вы молодец!
Is it possible to modify this mechanism so that the blue/yellow members cannot be lifted by hand? (i.e. re-arrange so that tension in the ropes prevent this from happening)
Does the following design meet your requirements?
ua-cam.com/video/7rgVm0vIMuY/v-deo.html
Can you make the assembley steps per part of your lifter in that video??
Sorry, I can not.
Please use CAD files of this video to do it yourself.
Links yo download the CAD files are in the video description.

Are there two cords required ? Or you can use only one cord tied to the electric motor and the other end is tied to the pin
Two wires are required.
@@thang010146 Thanks for the clarification
@@thang010146 will one wire not work?
@@Ilushaaaaaa
The red wire pulls the yellow slider.
The blue wire pulls the blue slider.
If there is only the red wire, the yellow slider can move, the blue slider can not.
If there is only the blue wire, both sliders can not move.
Nossa, como ajudou, valeu
Ingenious !
Here the tension on the cables are not exactly vertical. Wont that create a hinderance in the movement of sliders?
The fact that the cables branches are not parallel to each other may cause the differences of the slider speeds.
Great video 👍
Beautiful
Wich program is? Inventor?
Yes, Inventor.
Nice method
hello sir, i wanna ask you something, when sliders already lift, did the motor can hold the cable or we need other mechanism? thanks
A motor brake (or anti-reversing ratchet mechanism) is needed.
If the transmission from the motor to the violet pulley is a self-locking one (for example a worm reducer), no need.
@@thang010146 hoo.. Oke sir, thanks
Can you a video with a “continuous” style rigging as opposed to the “cascade” style in this video. The differences between these are highly important concepts for students robotics competitions and your clean animations could be useful.
I don't quite understand your request.
Could you show pictures or videos of “continuous” style riggings?
I have the same question, not very clear what you mean by "continuous"
Where can I buy this mechanism online
Like the hand crank appliance forklifts?
Similar. Please see:

What about center of gravity?
Which software is used for this type of animation
All videos in this channel are made in Autodesk Inventor, Dynamic Simulation.
Hello sir,
it is fantastic model. i just want to ask, can i have this?
Sorry, I cannot help you.
I just made its animation.
Which CAD software do you use?

Brilliant
I wanna make horizontal telescopic slider... so I need return mechanism

Can i take the dimensions of the drawing if i ask?
Use CAD files of the video to get the dimensions.
Links to download the CAD files are in the video description.
@@thang010146 Thank you but i need measure to draw the drawing in solidworks 2013 program. I could not open the files in the description section. Can you help with this.
Search the way to open STEP files in SolidWorks on the Internet.
@@thang010146 Thank you.
Thx sir

Почему синяя нитка сразу с первой на третью?
I don't know how to answer to your question. Such connection is needed.
Do you have another way of connecting?
This is what i looking for, ty❤
This is very similar to how a fork lift truck works only with a hydraulic ram instead of a motor.
cool
In which institute are you a professor?
