@@g4obb the 1970s had its good times, but some of the aspects of the 1970s were not so good, such as industrial disputes which were commonplace - we still get strikes, but they are few and far between in comparison Football hooliganism and bomb scares(as they were called Then) are less common So pros and cons to it But I think the 1970s is the most fascinating era of the 20th century

@@cyrill091 I met Julie Andrews at a petrol filling station in Skegness,which is now Morrison’s petrol station,this was back in the late 1970’s,apparently she was doing some filming for Butterflies TV show,,,
What an odd thing to say. Frequently showed Olive ticking off Arthur and winding him up. It also covered introduction of women bus drivers at a time in the real world that it was virtually unheard of and then saw them gain promotion. I take it you are not a fan then?

Life was simpler then - more care-free if you will. Comedy was also three-dimensional unlike today as certain type of comedy is deemed unacceptable.
I think we look back with nostalgia, but for most, life is far better today.

Yes I do Cyril. Preliminary work done online studying Google Maps/Google Street View and then visiting the location to confirm and photograph.
