  • Doo & I finish off the Bundle Bow & Field Arrow video series by test shooting the setup. With some practice and a bit stronger bow I'm confident this could be a 30 yard setup easily.

Looks good Dave. I am glad you said the homemade arrows need straightening from time to time, cause mine have warped if leaned up against a wall. I figured once they dried they would remain straight...... I was wrong on that 1 ..lol

Dang that is pretty cold for this time of year in your neck. Spring sure is fickle. That I know. Can't wait for warmer weather to get out and shoot more videos. During the winter it sure is difficult to keep motivated and get outside. Like I said the skunk cabbage has come up. But, that plant can produce its own heat (wicked cool). I've seen it surrounded by snow. The herbaceous plants will be up before you know it bro!

Yeah.. the weather has put a kink in us finishing this video as well.. Just hard to work the PVC in sub freezing temps with snow and freezing rain! Hopefully we can get it done tomorrow.. supposed to warm a bit

Awesome work. You last video inspired me to make a bow with my son. He's 7, so naturally I made the bow too strong lol. We try again with smaller wood.

That is an excellent job on that PVC bow. I think it is the best I have seen yet. It looked like it was heated and pressed together on each side of the handle? Though on video it looked like the bundle bow was faster? Also that straight arrow verses the one that was just a little off is a huge difference at the business end of it. I would have thought at that distance it would have been a little tighter. Thanks David and Doo. Much easier learning here than in the field! Will save lots of time.

Not too much green around here yet Bro.. In fact.. it's unseasonably cold.. Today will be a high of 33.. the normal high for March 1 is about 55-60. Hope Spring comes quickly

Seemed to me that the wooden bow shot a little faster than the PVC bow. It's all about how fast those bow arms are able to straighten. So draw weight is not everything ;-) Can't wait to see how you've been able to flatten the ends of the PVC bow... ;-)

Looks like nice weather down there, Dave. Any plants coming up yet? The skunk cabbage has come up here.
