I am a strawberry blonde with blue/green eyes. I love wearing dark greens, dark teals, gray-blue, and dark olives because my eyes actually change color based on the shade. I can't really pull off red, orange, yellow or pink unless it is a very specific shade. For pastels, I think a mint, robbin egg blue, or a light lavender are fine, they don't enhance anything but don't look bad. Buying summery clothes can be a challenge because I just want to wear jewel tones. I can only wear a very crisp white and not a cream white. My hair looks gorgeous and more golden against black.
Thanks for focusing on redheads, Jen! I find there is so little information around about redheads (what to wear/what not to wear). I found this helpful!
I have rich copper red hair and blue eyes, and I've always found that the colors people tell me look bad on redheads are my very best colors. I look great in orange, yellow, red, coral pinks, red violet, and plum purple. Greens and blues are much harder for me to pull off. I've always been confused by people saying blue is a universal color. Maybe I just have different taste than everyone else, but I think teals clash with the orange in my hair in a really unflattering way.
Thank you for an excellent video. The issue of colours which look wrong together because they almost match, but not quite, reminded me of the sound of two people almost singing in unison but being slightly out of tune. Sometimes it's easier to use harmony. Thank you for mentioning that red hair doesn't always mean warm skin tone. My Granny had auburn hair and cool skin.
Thank you! Redheads are not muted! I see people advising others incorrectly about this online, all the time. I used to think I was a blonde because others in my family have bright orange hair, but mine is definitely Strawberry. I wouldn’t have known, without color analysis (and a few people arguing with me when I called myself blonde). Now everything about my color season and best colors makes SO much more sense. Thank you for finally solving the mystery of why I can’t wear orange…though I have several tops in the light orange you recommended! ❤
Thank you so much fo this video! I have dark strawberry blonde hair with hazel eyes and I have always been typed as a Spring, I t’s always baffled me why deep purple and royal blue suit me but not the pastels normally in Spring palettes. Now I get it and don’t feel like I’m doing it wrong :D :)
Thanks for this, Jen! I consider myself bright, warm, and medium, but I look horrid in yellow, most oranges, and olive. My best colors are on the cooler side of the bright wheel--except for red and certain golds.
I'm so confused right now lol 😅 I'm a natural redhead and i have green eyes. In my opnion i look best in cooler toned foundations but for eyeshadows often times warmer tones look better. The same goes for blush when it's too cool it can look kinda clownish. Very bold and bright colors also look a bit like there is too much going on. But then softer colors can wash me out. Still haven't found colors that really suit me
I am a red head too with golden copper hair. I was professionally typed as cool undertone, but there is some particular exceptions: If I wear only mono chromatic even my best colors, its not yet ideal, I look best when "breaking" the pattern with smaller accessoires Picking Up the warmth from the copper hair. Maybe its similar with Makeup for you?
@@claudiaweel6226 Ohhh wow yes maybe. I must say it can be very difficult lol. I'm also copper used to be darker but now a lighter shade. When i pull my hair back and do my makeup it goes nicely with my skin but then when i let my hair down it clashes with my hair and the colors that go with my hair often times don't go well with my skin tone, with clothes the same ...the struggle 😅🤣
This was like a lightbulb moment. I've been tearing my hair out as to why colours from "my" pallette looked awful. My hair is such a dominant feature it overrides everything!
Hi, not sure where you are from, but in the UK redheads tend to be lighter, strawberry blonde, ginger whilst in the States they regard 'auburn' , very dark reddish brown as redheads. Anyone with very dark eyebrows would be regarded as auburn not a redhead. Most MC1R genes 'owners' are usually a lighter red, with blue/green eyes, Personally I would not describe the last three photos and the older lady no.6 above as redheads, Nos.3 and 7 are the 'normal' redhead in the UK.

Skins undertone make a difference as well. Some redheads have a cool/ pink skin tone and others have a warm/ yellow undertone.
Jewel tone colors look great on redheads!
Honestly I love all of the colors she mentioned on me as a redhead. I think it depends on the shade of red

except for the teal this fits nicely with the autumn palette
It depends if you are cool or warm skin toned. All redheads are different and depending on if you are a natural redhead or not.

I think the best color for redheads is green.
That’s my favorite color to wear. Orange is opposite green on the color wheel, so they are complementary colors.

Thank you for this incredible video! So incredibly helpful!
Thank you for this video.😊
You're welcome 😊

Looking at your photo your skin is very obviously pink and cool to me!
This was really informative. I wish there was a video for brunettes as well.
I'm so confused by this video. Is there a video IDK that shows the color with the redhead. Or maybe it's a secret ❤
What about white, black and fire red color? 🥰
I avoid yellow, orange, red, brown, teal/turquoise, fuchsia, and all neon colors. Greys and muted colors are fine, blue & green are best
Pastels and muted colors definitely don't look good on me. The quiz said I'm a bright warm medium.
I'm so confused right now lol 😅

I am strawberry blonde and the worst
color for me is carrot orange

Some of the women shown in this video are not redheads, but warm toned blondes.
