When I was young, I didn't care about the light vs. dark, but growing up I dealt with racism from whites because I was black, and from blacks because according to them I wasn't black lol. It is unfortunate. I know my family history and it began in Madagascar, and I still have family in Ethiopia. I work with young people, and it's sad that some of them have been taught to perpetuate this battle. As far as the black face goes, it is offensive, but I don't get mad because I guess I don't expect better. My concern is that my people act better.
Preach hunny!!! I love the lip color, great combination. Do you use a face primer? Just wanted to know because I love the make up look. Mine moves around on my face and been looking for a primer that will stop that. Great video!!
Yes I do, I forget the name it's in the other room and I'm being lazy right now but I got it from Sephora and it blocks/stops oil it's a wide brown tube I prime everything eye/face/lips
Thank you for this! LIGHT, CARAMEL, REDDISH BROWN, HIGH YELLOW...IN THEIR BOOK YOU ARE STILL BLACK, AFRICAN AMERICAN, NEGRO, NIGGA, WHATEVER, YOUR STILL BLACK. I LOVE dark skin, I think the darker the MORE beautiful! Dark, chocolate, half after midnight, whatever. I LOVE my people and my DARK skinned brothas! SALUTE and PEACE!
Thanks love. Maybe I'll touch on how as a kid I wanted to be light skinned b/c I thought they're hair grew faster smh lol little did i know they just knew how to take care of it as opposed to dumping grease on it, but I don't know that video would be really short, any other avenues you think I should take?
kiannaluv21 Really ? Now I definitely think you should speak on it . You're pretty as you are with a nice voice . But I noticed that is very prevalent amongst black women . Even a short video would be fine . It's controversial so it'll spark interest .
I just wanted to say if you check out people's bitstrips on face book you will see exactly what people think of themselves. It is real interesting. This video was so good I had to comment twice.
