You need a guide.. I still have 3 weeks wait on my pc or I’d offer my services… ask ingame and I’m sure you will find someone to show you the ropes, or gimme a holler when I’m back in the ‘verse and I’ll show you around myself. Not my IGN BTW.
I really do enjoy it a lot. It has its fair share of bugs here n there but it’s bearable. While there are high price points for ships, every ship can be bought with in game currency by doing various jobs.
People get repelled by the ridiculous ships prices in the pledge store but there is one thing that needs to be made known is that besides a game package there is nothing forcing you to pay real money for any ship. The pledge store really is just a place for people to throw money at CIG to keep making the game better and get ships in return. Ship renting and buying with in-game money makes it rewarding to actually grind for everything and the ships. There are people out there buying 890 jumps by grinding. Wipes are a real thing but those now take place years apart and the next one should happen around Christmas.
I second Adonis, one literally can spend $45 (us) to get a “budget starter” then play the game to make money and eventually buy almost any ship in the game…. Also, the expensive pledge ships (that can also be bought ingame 3 months after they release to the pledgers) usually have a serious drawback… they need crew… some need a lot of crew. Personally I’d recommend getting a Avenger Titan or Cutlass Black, both mid-tiered starter ships with great potential… Titan was my first ship @ about $65 (us) so still less than a AAA game. Your best bet would be to try out SC during a free-fly event, decide how much you are willing to spend on your starter ship, see what is available on the website for starters (be sure they have a game package) then test out the options ingame. Free-fly events, besides allowing one to test out the game for free, also allow 2day ship rentals for free.
Cool video! We could make some use of the Polaris some time :)
Dude, this game truly showcases the pinnacle of technology; it captures everything people dreamed about for the future.
Yes sir! We love to play it.
I really really want to like this game but I just feel so lost and confused when I play it

I've never played this game before because the monetization seemed wack.. Is this game actually good?
