    Some countries other than US offer diesel Jeeps. I dont know about the Wrangler though. I am considering a 4BT swap when my TJ dies. 12 years old and still running like the day it came off the lot. Got to love jeeps.

    Also, my local dealership offers a turbodiesel conversion, it bumps up gas milage to around 30 mpg, and gives you a shitload more low end torque

    After watching videos like these it makes me wanna move my amp somewhere else besides under the seat in my tj!

    Nice Vid, would've liked to see the others go too.
    That first step in when you level out is always a bit of a faith/gut check and it still gets me every time when I set out across a river.
    I've done deeper than this in my JKUR @ Waiperous Alberta, by accident, with the water cresting the hood a few times, without a snorkel, but was white knuckling the crossing the whole time regretting following my friend and his lifted Sahara, thinking that I may have made that one vehicle-fatal mistake. Since then I'm a little more aware of the depth before entering. ~;-)
    It's funny how much fun it is with fast flowing water or even just crashing through big puddles sending towering waves crashing into the distance. The only thing I'm not a fan of is slow crawling through goopy slimy stuff that you know is sticking somewhere for future odoriferous reminders.
    Keep gettin' dirty... and washin' it off !! =B~)

    I mounted my amp in my closet right after i bought it, then I mounted it in the living room when my girlfriend wasn't home, then three days later i installed it in my vehicle, i was shocked that it still worked.

    @FordGuy100, hmm, try and think a little harder.
    its because of environmental agencies such as the EPA that we still have beautiful, natural places to go camping and wheeling. Otherwise some mass corporation would have dumped all their waste and toxic chemicals on that very spot where theyre wheeling or where u go wheeling. Environmental agencies are here to protect the environment so we can all enjoy it now and so that future generations can enjoy it later. dont be so simplistic.

    You know it's funny, european Rubicons get those crappy street tires. Whats the deal?

  • @SergioLopez-tq6wq
    @SergioLopez-tq6wq 10 років тому

    Why in Europe Wraglers are not like American Wranglers? You know with 1.5 more of ground clearance and a front bumper with more approach angle?

    • @KnightShadey
      @KnightShadey 10 років тому +1

      European laws. North Americans get the lift, better tires, and better bumper, but Europeans get access to a diesel Wrangler. Seems like they won't give either of us the Wrangler we want... I want a Jacuzzi factory-installed behind the second row seats in mine. ~;-)

      @SergioLopez-tq6wq 10 років тому +3

      yeah, but the difference of torque is only 30 lbs and maybe for 2015 wranglers in America will have diesel options, but anyway, Both type of wranglers are off road monsters!

      KnightShadey If they made a version stripped down to bare metal (you know, a real Jeep), I'd buy that one. I won't hold my breath.

      Jeep is trying to get this diesel in the us market by 2020. It would have excellent low end torque...

  • @FordGuy100

    I hate the EPA so f'n much. WTH Cant we get a Rubicon with a diesel here in the US? Get better fuel mileage!
    Get rid of the EPA!

  • @BlazerTrax
    @BlazerTrax 12 років тому

    haha yeah man, i bet that cod rubicon is sweet, lol we all would like to have the money for that, but i think if you find an older 4bt, like pre 95 you dont have to dick with all the computer shit, but idk so dont take my word for it.
    or you could always just find 1st gen dodge truck and just swap the 6bt and all the fuel shit, might be cheaper that way, but then you have to get bigger axles in the front, all of which sounds like tons of work and a shit-load of money
