I have these glasses. I work outside and wear them to listen to music while I work and so I can still hear ambient sounds/customers/people on the street who may talk to me. Like you say...it's never gonna be as good or bass heavy as something in your ears, but what I need them for they're great.
When I saw "smart" glasses i was expecting a little display on the lens, not a speaker glasses. Cool tech though
They can also make the folding part detachable for more choice of style for the glasses.
Can you really call this "smart glasses" if all they do is play audio? Or would it be more fitted to call it Audio glasses?
So smart glasses will no longer record video anymore?
I had the same question. No heads-up display, bone conduction tech ( more discrete n personal audio experience ) or special sensors.
I missed the "smart" part in these glasses.
Anyway, what's for lunch?
Speaker.... It got speaker...
@@MrWillypanda88 oh yeah, that's right. So smart now...
I started to get pretty confused when i realized that all these "smart glasses" are, is a pair of filtered glasses, with crappy and socially unfriendly sound. Taking about throwing lipstick on a pig..
@@jo05dk waiting for some company to release a "smart" belt so that it can tighten the pants for you.
Stuff getting "smarter" so the dumb masses can get dumber. What a fkn world...
@@liberty0758 Not sure how you got from me having a giggle over a set of gloryfied glasses with crappy speakers being called "smart", to making me into a current version of the future depicted in Wall-E, but for most of us it's a free world, so you do you :)
This video couldn't have come at a better time. I'm a tech junkie and I happen to be looking for a new pair of prescription glasses. I love that idea!
3:28 I couldn’t focus on the glass because I was too busy focusing on how your eye brow looks like it perfectly connects to your hair, or that it grew connected to your hair but you just cut down the middle to separate the two 😂
Great review, thanks👌🏾 what smartphone is that you're using in it?
I ordered some nose pads for the daily. I also use these on the daily but my issue is ear comfort. I assume your professional eye doctor could heat them and bend them a little bit for more secured comfort what do you think?
Dude, I just want smart glasses that give me terminator vision, THATS ALL
Just bought these for $50 - can't wait to try them.
Anybody compared these to the Echo Frames?
I just bought those, but if these are better, I would consider switching.
Have to felt uncomfortable on the ears for long use using prescription? Have you heated them to shape to sit better on the ear?
How is the call quality? between echo frame, bose tenor, and these? call quality is the most important thing for me I have the echo frame and I'm pretty happy with them but the way Alex app kills my phone battery has me looking for a different option.
They need to sale replacement for the glasses. Like only the speaker parts. Now if you have a pair glasses you upgrade them with tech
Are these the large or regular size that you are wearing?
I always wanted something like for my job. My job doesn't allow you to wear earbuds. This would be great.
Until the half of the video I finally realize it just wireless earbuds glasses
I want sunglasses that are so smart they can change tint power, and color through an app on your phone
Can I control with the voice?
What size are you wearing?
tbh they're just a pair of speakers built into your glasses, which is kinda silly. The only benefit is having your audio playing off the bat near your year right away which is not worth 200 bucks since they're headphones out not for half that do much more.
It's kinda neat not having your ear plug all the time, possibly losing the ear buds, taking them in and out every so often. I don't have problem with my vision but I can see myself wearing these all-day for calls, music, audible, voice assistant. Voice assistant by the way heard you better while these are on rather than through your phone mic. Other people can't listen to what you are listening to but it's open ear. That's the whole point. I have echo frame 2nd edition and just purchased Razer Anzu because it's on sale.
Hi bro, what's size are u wearing? L or M?
I'm confused choosing which one suit my 175cm 86kg
m
Is it sounds better than Bose ?
I have a quesion. I wsar a medical glasses. How can I get this kind of glasses as medical one?
What size did you get?
Uhhh Legends of Runterra!
What else, cardwise, do you play on your phone, Magic Arena? Hearthstone? Gwent?
Battery life may be good on these glasses but what if the battery on one side of the temples lasts less (wears off faster) than the other side? It is a very common issue with some bluetooth earbuds that need to be charged separately like these pair of glasses (eg: my left side airdots battery lasts longer than the right one)
Teacher: Mike I said turn off your glasses !!
I can see something like that being used for cheating on a test.
@@Reaperguy67 fr fr so easily and they can easily be excused because they can say it's perscripted
@@That_Guy_0 lol yes.
This is interesting by the way. I can see smart glasses working for some people.
6:20 ayyyyy
Hi JV. What size are you wearing on this review? I see that there are two options for size, SM & L. TIA
I think he said in his own video that these are the Small/Medium
Ay! We Have Concerns! Great podcast!
Okay but why the glossy plastic
"The Bill Burr podcast.". 👌
6:21 great choice ;)
We Have Concerns shout out! Great podcast
@pocketnow Where do you add the prescription frames?
get the nreal light glasses
"Smart Glasses"? These are just glasses with speakers built in it.
I thought this was an actual smart glasses like those Google lens or something.
Exactly my question as well, and no one else seems to notice that.
Same here. Was expecting some display/lens related stuff
When you see Gurenge by Lisa at 6:21 🤣
You have to use a Y cable to charge each side seperately? Might as well get the bose frames for the same price and specs. I use prescription transition lens with my bose frames too.
bose are $50 more
Bose broke easily due to connector in the folding part..
If only prescription glasses were considered for special-use glasses. Smart glasses, 3D movie glasses, etc.
6:21 demon slayer op :)
Me with astigmatism asking how tf I’m gonna plug in the glasses if I can’t see what I’m doing.
So wait there is no display? Not smart in my opp but ok
Google Glass should have done this from day #1
WEARABLES HAVE TO LOOK GOOD
The Zenfone there...
wow very ....❤️🔥
Well, pretty disappointed that they are not actually 'smart', they are just speakers. Which is totally fine, don't get me wrong, but when I hear "smart glasses" I instantly think of something like Google Glass and so I'm pretty disappointed when it's just this. I think we should maybe call them "audio glasses", as you said once in the video.
Besides that, great video!
im still going to wait as to what the next reiterations of these smart glasses will be in the next few years. for now I think that the wireless earbuds are far more superior than these glasses despite its convenience.
Anyone else notice the Demon Slayer op at 6:21… No just me 😅
These would be interesting if they would transmit sound via the jaw bone or temple. Just mounting small speakers to a frame is not that smart.
Wasn't this guy with android authority
Ok at first I assumed this meant they had a display in the lenses? How are these "smart" glasses. All they are is glasses with speakers and a mic built in ffs. They're simply a gimmick.
We need lenses or screens that can display information to eyes.
Sound leakage and the ear groove placement is an issue for most humans...
I think you’re wrong, the tech will catch up with the fashion aspect but it will take some time. For now though, I think it’s not there yet.
For something I wear daily, I don’t even want to think about charging my "glasses”, for maybe a month or at the very least 2 to 3 weeks.
Until that happens, this tech will be an extremely fun, niche, and expensive toy for rich people to play around with until they get bored.
“Why tech in this new category of wearables exist?”
Data. The rest is manufactured hype.
whats smart about these glasses? wireless headphones with glasses whoo needs it.
The rise in these glorified data harvesting sensors is suffocating.
Bro your phone does that already
If you don't want companies to have your data just throw everything you have that's connected to the internet out and live in the woods you schizophrenic
@@AKK5I being opposed to the inherently evil and rapidly growing data/infosec Industry makes you a schizophrenic now? I think you're a bit of a sick freak if you aren't at least slightly concerned by, for example, the glimpse of a bleak future reflected in these ridiculous hackable glasses for overpaid manchildren. You don't have to yearn for living in the woods to just be fully opposed to what this shit represents lol
@@librarygary1618 but it doesn't represent any of that, yall asylum escapists are just protecting your own insecurities onto regular products and ruining everybody else's fun
@@AKK5I I don't agree with the schizoprenic part, but I get your point. If people are so afraid to get their information harvested then they can either choose not to use those services. They can either go back to sending physical letters that would take days to arrive rather than sending an email, or go line up in the bank to withdraw money instead of using those data collecting ATM machines. If this notion makes it suffocating for you then I advise that you avoid using any technology that might harvest your data, including youtube of course.
@@AKK5I great suggestion. People should stay away from someone like you as far as possible.
That's the first time I heard about smartglasses and I was expecting a HUD like with the prototype Google glasses back in the day but it's literally nothing or better, another thing you need to charge and which battery will degrade/die within 2 years. This is beyond pointless - even more than smartwatches where I can at least see some usefulness.
Wait... This is just a speaker... How is this a smart glass??
I wouldn't call audio glasses smart glasses. When you say smart glasses I think of google glass functionality.
I think those glasses are way too crazy I would not buy them
Potential for using these to cheat on an exam.
My husband bought 2 pairs of their 'smart glasses' and within 2 weeks, the right arm came off. Razer told me that this was due to abuse. The connection of the arm to the frame is plastic and poorly designed. I have put script lens in both pair and now Razer refuses to repair the arm assembly. I have full documentation and pictures of their 'wonderful' support. Buyer Beware!
Let them come with some kind of screen to be viewed or mirror a smartphone then that’s impressive. There are just some AirPods for UA-cam eyes 😂. #NOTHANKS
This is stupid, thrsr are not smart glasses these are audio glasses and the charging is really dum too.
These glasses offer no real value over regular glasses whatsoever. I'll wait for when a Google glass remake comes out to ever consider smart glasses
it's for music, offer no value? you must be new.
@@Retronyx there are bluetooth earbuds that'll sound better for less than half the price
no HUD? pass.. 😒
can we plase stop calling these smart glasses? how about speaker glasses?? for it to be a smart glass it needs to have a screen. we have had wireless speaker glasses for 15 years now
First
Comments like first don't matter since they never add anything to the discussion of the video.
Earphones, smartphones and fitness trackers/smart watches can already all this. If this is all this does then it's a disappointment 'cause it's just a product to increase e-waste, waste further more electricity and make people lazier...
So in other words these are not smart glasses, but glasses-mounted-useless-headphones?
