This is hands down the best video I have seen of Waikiki beach, I also saw the street side walk that you guys did. Thank you for this video. I appreciate the real time video. All the details and information about the hotels and what is available and what is not. Its going to be my first time to go to Waikiki and I am worried about not getting a car rental. My wife and I were there for our anniversary, we stayed at the Hilton Village ,we did this exact walk ,thanks to you guys , we just got home and I already miss Hawaii, going back to work was tough

Love your video! The optics were great, the scenes were well framed and visually sharp, the colors were vibrant. The audio was clear and not overwhelmed by wind. The info provided was nicely detailed, whether this is being viewed by newbie’s to Hawaii or by returnees. I would recommend this video to anyone who is planning a trip to Hawaii (newbies & returnees). The real-time feature adds a practical touch to planning a walk to a day’s schedule, especially if you’re on a time limited short vacation. It does bring back pleasant memories of our past trips, and I’ll probably watch it over & over again, so I can reminisce. I would suggest that you recheck your labeling of the Outrigger Reef Hotel, it looks like the Waikiki Shore Condominium. Nevertheless, you two did a fantastic job on this video.😊

Thanks for this amazing beach walk. During the 80s and 90s I would spend a few days in either the Moana or Royal Hawaiian hotel on my journey from Canada back home to Australia, then on the return trip - such long flights I just have to break them up with a few days in Waikiki. Now as a senior traveler, you've helped me prioritize where and what I want to do when I visit this August - your videos show me how easy or difficult it is to get around when walking long distances, climbing stairs, etc. with less energy now. Bravo, you guys! Your videos are so enlightening and fun.

Tropic bar excellent burgers. A little pricey! I’ve actually walked this myself and my wife from HHH to Outrigger Waikiki! 🤙🏽🤙🏽 Been to the museum with our kid! It’s interesting. Good to hear Devon.😎 Stayed at Outrigger Reef, Sheraton Waikiki, Moana Surfrider and Outrigger Waikiki. Commenting as your walking. Your at the turtles! 😎😎😎 Love the turtles. Honu!! Mahalo!😍 Yes we went up Diamond Head also. That was a long walk also. Halekalani is a beautiful hotel. I was with a group of us and got to visit the property showing us one of there rooms. Loved Sheraton Waikiki. One of the times we we were there our room faced the Royal Hawaiian and the courtyard where they were having a Luau! 😍
Beautiful view. The clarity 4K view. 🤙🏽 Mahalo so much for this walk. I remember the sand can get pretty hot. We would walk as close to water as possible. Cool on the feet. RHH excellent property. I enjoy all the way to Dukes statue. Good information about bathroom being available. Stayed at Hyatt and Resort Quest Hawaiian Waikiki. And Alohilani formerly known as Pacific Beach Hotel. Didn’t realize I have stayed at so many hotels. Rock down to Kalakaua Ave! 😂 Devon before I had said that during you walk. You said I was testing you.Lol Not testing just sharing a love for music. You had said you were a DJ in NY. I used be a DJ back in the early 80’s. Just sharing a connection. Kind of hard to do up until now!

That wall Devon isn’t that where one of your friends jumped in with his cloths in if he got a hundred subscribers that day? That banyan tree at Kapiolana park. I’ve seen that tree in H50 and Magnum PI. Beautiful Aloha Sunday. I love the smell of the ocean!! Nothing like it. The sun shimmering on the water.😍 At this point wow that’s a hike. My kids loved Waikiki aquarium and Honolulu Zoo. I remember seeing an Episode of Magnum PI shot at Kaimana Hotel. Cool the The war memorial Natatorium. Tried to visit it wasn’t open then. I lived up the hill from Kapiolani Park! I miss it so much… waking up to the smells of fresh flowers, the animals waking up at the zoo and the hustle and bustle of delivery trucks early in the morning on Kalakaua! 🌴

Finally got to visit 9/1 - 5th!! Oh what a magical place. We had the BEST vaca ever 🥰 There was soo much to see, and not enough time. Everyone was soo kind and friendly. Visited North Shore food trucks, Leonard's, Ko'Olina, Dole, Turtle Bay, Waimea Bay. Gucci on Kalakaua for a handbag and wallet!
Stayed at both Sheraton and Hyatt Regency. Sheraton I am obsessed with. It really gives you a warm, comfortable, tropical feel. We'll definitely be back!!

You guys are the best! Since we don’t plan on being vaccinated, your up to date videos are so so appreciated! Ps we have stayed at the Hale Koa and I’m pretty sure the beach front bar is open to the public. The outrigger reef is the other hotel we like and loved your stop there 🐢

I was in Oahu in '15 with a friend of mine and we stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village for a week...walked along the beach for a while but didnt know how far we got..this video shows exactly where we ended up lol...I think that the 32:50 mark is where we stopped because I dont recall the circular rock wall with the trees in it or being that close to the street...I remember walking along the rock wall with the railing and passing the pink hotel...but when we got off the rock wall we had to turn quickly by a tree that was growing sideways out from the beach towards the water...I dont know how far we got but we didnt make it to Duke's statue

what is the nicest hotel preferably in Oahu with the best wave beach in front to ride intermediate body boarding waves. And in March which hotel will have the best gentle wave surf in front.

Anywhere in Waikiki is walking distance to the beach depending what part of the beach and if you want a garage or street park. Honolulu zoo always have lots of parking but paid
Looks like there is a lot of construction going on there, The halekulani did look great at the time when I was living there in Waikiki, I wonder why all these renovations ?!

Have they made a firm decision and set a start date for the beach repair project in front of Halekulani Hotel ? I’ve read about a proposed project to build more groins and replenish that section up to Ft Derussy.

Re the memorial salt water pool is there any thoughts of renovating that historic site?
Not too far from that area is the Doris Duke estate where they used to have tours. Have you ever been there?

I’ve been in that salt water pool behind Shangri La. It’s open to the ocean water. Lots of black crabs!
The other salt water pool is the Natatorium, a World War II Memorial. It’s closed to the public. Sadly, it has never been renovated.

quick question regarding some of your last videos ! so for the 72 hours covid test is it okay with being less ? say i’m leaving thursday morning but get tested tuesday morning will hawaii accept the 47 hours ? or can it be more than 72 hours as well
72 hours or less. No more than 72 hours prior to departure from your last leg of your flight. So say you fly from Denver to LA and LA to Honolulu. You want the 72 hour (or less) time frame to be from the takeoff from LA.
Aloha! The test has to be taken within 72 hours of the last leg of your flight. You can take a rapid test right before your flight and upload results before the take off. Yes, it can be less than 72 h but not more :)
