@pie crust also the otherones had the chances because of the SC but, they all failed. Vettel was one of the minor drivers that didnt made mistakes. Also he pushed his limits in the first lap and last 6 laps to get on podium. IT WAS AN AMAZING PERFORMANCE

Keeping his calm and composure. Strike when needed. That is a mega drive by Sebastian. Instead of charging unnecessarily and getting involved in an accident, he just silently pick his moment to move forward. Like a tiger that stand still before striking it's prey.
Sebastian should be the Driver of the Day instead. He deserves it more than anyone else on the grid.

You can't call it an 'incredible drive' when the race was so staged. My prediction was for Hamilton to lose and Vettel to come through the pack to win. I was close to being spot on, because I understand the F1 Mas0nic pantomime, but 2nd is OK. It's the same old routine. They sold us the story of Vettel the broken man at the back at his home race with his career on the slide, only to then storm through and be some kind of hero. I see the BS, including the qualifying nonsense of fake reliability problems. Everyone knew it would rain, so it was possible for him to come from the back. People are such dumb sheep not to see how fake F1 is.

He drove onto the podium from the pitlane in Abu Dhabi once, i believe 2012. He's also proven himself as a rainmaster in China 2009 for example

IDK about legend, but certainly up there with the best. He's like Graham Hill in terms of performance. Has his bad moments, but when he's good, he's REALLY GOOD.

Some of the comments ive read "really happy to see Hamilton crash etc" bunch of arseholes not real fans.
Im a Hamilton Mercedes fan so to see him go from 1st to last like that was hard, saying that the worst thing was leclerc i really thought he could of won that him and hulkenberg great pit stop. So yes its hard to find fans who just want to see close fair racing.

To all those saying Seb didn't do many overtakes or most positions were gained in the pit... he had more than 20 overtakes on Track. He had to overtake some drivers several times! Sainz twice, Ricciardo, Norris twice, Magnussen twice, Grosjean, Kimi, Stroll 3 times, Russel, Kubica, Gasly twice, Kvyat 3 times, Albon twice, Giovenazzi twice. all of this on track and not in pit...
A really good drive from him. He wasn’t always the fastest but did no mistakes and precise enough to score a podium.
That was a 4X Champion drive finally mate. Funny watching Rosberg’s UA-cam where he was watching live, and said Vettel in no man’s land. Next minute P2 😁 I very much enjoyed that performance. Keep it up Seb. 🏎🏁🏆👊

a. Leclerc has double the poles Seb has this season;
b. Leclerc is in his second full time season whilst Seb is in his 11th (I think he didn't drive full time in 2007)
As a Ferrari fan, I thank Leclerc for carrying the team, Seb still hasn't got his form back, and it took him a *whole fucking year* to get his act together. Yes, 20th to 2nd is nearly legendary, but it doesn't excuse a *whole fucking year* of average to mediocre performances

Exactly that confirms my statements the Mercedes is the strongest car in the field! The difference is not hamilton, it is the Mercedes! Ham crashed his car and seb drove a really good race! Hopefully people will finally see that seb is as good as ham.
It was about time Vettel got some luck. But, as my granny said, "luck has to find you working", and Seb was there, quietly working his way through the field. I hope he keeps this approach for the rest of the season. Respect.

2018: Seb comes to German GP leading the Championship, crashes his car from the lead. What followed was him spiralling into the toughest 12 months of his career.
2019: Seb comes from P20 to P2 in one of the best races in recent memory. Against all odds he keeps his head down & brings it home.
Will the tides turn this time too? I think so. I think we'll see the old Seb again after this stellar drive.
He was stellar in Azerbaijan, China, Monaco and Canada too. The problem is Ferrari. If they don't get the balance right as well relibility, it won't matter how good Vettel is, he will suffer by the incompetence of his team time and time again. So sad. In Mercedes he'd have won every race by now and broken his 2013 win-streak record
