    Love it when you show the fish going back. Always enjoy to see them swim away.

    It may be worth loosening your drag a bit mate! It tends to prevent damage when the pike is thrashing. Great vid as always!

      It's crazy when people railroad fish. I like to play fish like Bob nudd.

      Yes loosening your drag makes a massive difference to minimise damage, especially when you hook up to a hard fighting fish

      Loose drag is for lickle fishies

    Hats off to you Chris, great results off an old broom handle! That extra water didn’t really seem to bother the fish much 👍

    I was going to suggest cutting a small recess in the broom handle and sticking one of those little rattles in it, the little glass ones you can push into soft lures....but i'm not sure you need it after catching so many, long live the broom handle👍🎣😁

    • @The_ginger_fisherman
      @The_ginger_fisherman  5 років тому +1

      I think with it being so big it pushes a lot of water beneeth the surface that the pike can easily home in on. I managed 6 pike in 2 sessions in the flood. Its crazy. Just re-painted it ready for next time

    Believe it's better to take a net with you 👍😂 even you don't expect to catch anything big... I done this mistake and I am lost a big pike.... I was lucky that pike was able to shake the lure off... I wasn't able to hold that pike or take pictures... but at least I am happy that I didn't done any harm for this amazing predator... and also nice video waiting for more to come 👍👍💪💪💪💪

    Brilliant fishing Chris. I get a lot blanks when luring but that's just lack of skill. One newbie question - why don't you stick to a single treble and balance the chances of not getting the fish against possible eye damage from the other when they're thrashing?

      The Ginger Fisherman I used to work in Canada from April to December , for twenty years. I’ve caught loads of Pike 35lbs plus that was at a place called Spanish in Ontario fantastic mate. And Muskie up in Lake of the Woods Ontario. You should look into going mate and do videos of it. Not to mention the Bass -Lake Trout- Sturgeon- Salmon-Walleye . You’d love it and probably earn off it as well. Good luck mate love your channel.

    Piss taking aside, thats proof right there that there is no need to spend 30 quid on a finely detailed lure to land fish.
