EN: The hike on 30.04.2024 led from the village of Bulla in Val Gardena over 25 km to the Alpe di Siusi with a corresponding circumnavigation of Mount Bullaccia. On the north side and on the shady slopes, there was still up to 50 cm of snow in places, making this hike a great experience on the one hand, of course, but also all the more strenuous.
KNOWLEDGE:
Puflatsch (Ladin: Bulacia; Italian: Bullacia) is an elevation on the north-western edge of the Seiser Alm in the South Tyrolean Dolomites. The area, which is largely used as an alpine pasture, is a good vantage point, making the hill a popular hiking destination and, in winter, also a place for three ski runs. The easiest way to reach Puflatsch is from Compatsch, where the road and cable car to the Seiser Alm end. From there, hiking trails and a lift lead to the southern edge of the plateau. From the north and the village of Bulla/Pufels, you can reach the hill via the Schnürlsteig trail. On the northern edge of Puflatsch, close to the highest point at 2176 m, are the so-called Hexenbänke.
The former Puflatsch hut, now known as Dibaita, is located on the south-western slope of the elevation.
The field name goes back to the old Ladin buvilaccia 'ox/cattle stables'.

DE: Die Wanderung vom 30.04.2024 führte vom Ort Pufels im Grödnertal über 25 km zur Seiser Alm mit entsprechender Umrundung des Berges Puflatsch. An der Nordseite und an den schattigen Hängen lagen teilweise noch bis zu 50 cm Schnee, so dass diese Wanderung zum einen natürlich ein tolles ERlebnis, aber auch um so anstregender war.
WISSENSWERTES:
Puflatsch (ladinisch Bulacia; italienisch Bullacia) ist eine Erhebung am nordwestlichen Rand der Seiser Alm in den Südtiroler Dolomiten. Das weitgehend als Alm genutzte Gelände ist ein guter Aussichtspunkt, dementsprechend beliebt ist die Anhöhe als Wanderziel und im Winter auch für drei Skiabfahrten. Am leichtesten erreichbar ist Puflatsch von Compatsch aus, wo Straße und Seilbahn auf die Seiser Alm enden. Von dort führt neben Wanderwegen auch ein Lift auf den südlichen Rand der Hochfläche. Vom Norden und der Ortschaft Pufels her erreicht man die Anhöhe über den Schnürlsteig. Am nördlichen Rand von Puflatsch, nahe am mit 2176 m höchsten Punkt, liegen die sogenannten Hexenbänke.
Am Südwesthang der Erhebung befindet sich die ehemalige Puflatschhütte, die heute unter dem Namen Dibaita geführt wird.
Der Flurname geht auf altladinisch buvilaccia ‚Ochsen-/Rinderställe‘ zurück.
