These two eat like royalty!! And they seem all the better for it! They did ask if they could perhaps have a little wine with their dinner.. And an after dinner mint would be SMASHING!!
@@gracieandsapphire actually I do feed my weenie mostly raw but she gets a little kibble sometimes and a bit of cooked meat/ chicken that I eat. Didn’t want her to rely on one type of food. In part because I can’t get the raw food locally. But it’s an ideal diet if you can do it. Just came back to clarify…I was strict in her diet as a pup… then introduced more variety after she was full grown… after a year or so.
@@gracieandsapphire so my pet food store is privately owned and they only sell good quality food but they do have a raw/dried food. That is what they feed the dogs who accompany them to work and are there for the whole day. I understand it’s a little pricey so have not tried it … but is a good option for travel/overnight situations. Whatever the brand it would be diff from Canada to another country.
@@susanann8741 That's a really good point because taking raw food on holiday is a bit trickier, I've found a good quality kibble to test out and see what they think x
Talk to your raw food supplier, there's a specific rota we followed for the first 8 weeks trialling each flavour for one week at a time. When we started our old dog it was a direct change not gradual, but your supplier should help. Hope your doxie settles in well, very exciting to be collecting her soon x
I started both of mine at 8 weeks. Full raw they eat whole sardines rabbit ears whole ground prey I do add kelp powder to their meal here and there. They are now at 6 months old and 2 years old. The 2 year old hasn't been to the vet since a puppy just for a check up. 6 month old is probably done there too now. They are astounded at how beautiful they look.
I highly recommend whole raw sardines they love them and it really brings out a beautiful shine to the coats. Both of mine are short hair one blue/cream piebald and one red dapple.
It's an excellent source of protein but only used as a treat, it must contain just peanuts, nothing else, it's a special dog one, not the same as what we eat. I would only use it once a week, the chicken meat spread I have also works well on the licki mat x
How wonderful is the selection of raw food. I cannot find anything like that here. They will be so nice and healthy. Lovely girls, all three. ❤️
It seems like a good system and they love it so far, thanks for watching Shamma xx

Saffy would definitely eat that and more! X
We're getting our boy in a few days and we live for your videos! Thanks for putting them on!
Thank you and how exciting! I bet you can't wait! X
Great video, thank you. we’ve been considering switching ours to a raw diet , this has definitely encouraged me . Xx
It's easier than I thought and cheaper, Durham Animal Feeds would deliver to you too, worth thinking about xx
I have 2 mini dachshund as well. Both raw fed since 8 weeks. They love it!

I've seen you can get raw food in biscuit form so I might have a look at that too, like you say a bit of variety is good x

This was amazing. I'll be picking up my doxie on Dec 23. She will be 8 weeks then. When do you recommend I start my baby with raw food ?

Is peanut butter good for dogs?
