Granted 8 was brilliant and 7 did pave the way for the next generation of games in the franchise, but I think 9 and 10 proved that you can still be old school while bringing something fresh to the table.
This is probably the hardest game of the series. Just finished it after putting it off for a really long time because I couldn't get through Wily's Castle levels.
I bet it was tough because they didn't include the Charge Shot or the Slide. They basically downgraded Mega Man to his stats from the first two games. Nice of them.
Not really. Look at Mega Man 2. No Charge Shot or Slide and it's the easiest game of the series. The levels themselves make this one harder. And Wily's Castle has a lot of moments where you either do something correctly or die (Like here 55:05 ). Not like it's the first time they did something like that, but this game puts you in very risky situations very often. I guess they wanted to compensate for the fact that you can buy Shock Guards. I'm not complaining, though. It's a well balanced and fun game. I was just stating that it's harder than the other ones.
TheShepherd82 Yeah I agree. 3 is my favorite, but imo it is the easiest in the series. Magnet Man is always the first guy I go after. He's really easy after you got the pattern down, and does have any weird timings like Hard Man's slam
now when i play on wave man's stage in mm5 i thank capcom for taking elements from my 2nd favorite of the 8 robot masters from my second favorite mega man game mm5

Axl Maverick Hunter because it's blah, bland, and drab. it lacks the color, excitement, and/or smooth gameplay I find in the other mmgames. and yes, because I find mm3 to be hard, but the mm3 wily stages might not be as hard as the mm5 darkman/wily stages, and yet I still like mm5 more. mm3 is just irritating and boring to me, the robot masters suck, especially hard and needle man, mm4 skull man mm5 star man mm6 yamato man are all examples of better robot masters
9:51 theres an easy way to not get hurt here, just walk right next to the elephant. when it comes back, just walk back and jump. the whole concrete jungle stage is easy.
Very cool game. Very interesting how Xbox 360 decided to return to the vintage 8-bit style of rendering. Very well done, on the whole. Only complaints I would have, is that Megaman seems to have lost some of his cool abilities from MM3 onwards (anybody notice that he didn't slide, OR fire a charged up Mega Buster shot?)
From what I understand, Inti Creates, the developers behind Mega Man 9 and 10 and full of staff members that have worked on previous MM games, based MM9 off MM2 by neutering Mega Man and giving the audience a punishing difficulty that forces you to use your special weapons. In my opinion, though, MM2 was nowhere near as hard and unfair as MM9 is.
My only gripe is that after so many Mega-Man games, at this point he still could not aim upwards or diagonal. Enemies have been able to do that since day one. On a side note, I'm curious about the Mega-Man NES engine. Would it be possible for talented coders to backport the game engine to older versions and would that have any benefit? I know early Mega-Man games had issues displaying multiple sprites, such that Mega would go invisible at times.
There is also Mega/Rock Man 11 that will be coming out soon. I do not know if it is a Nintendo Switch exclusive, but what I do know is that Mega/Rock Man 11 will have a physical game release. I also know that the entire Mega/Rock Man Classic line, except for the Bass games (I think), will finally be released in a physical game bundle that is called the Mega Man Legacy Collection, and it will be for the PS4/Pro, Xbox One/S/X, Nintendo Switch, and maybe the PC on July 24, 2018. Said game collection will include Mega/Rock Man 9 and 10 as well in a physical disc form for the first time ever. However, if you still have a PS3, there is an offer for this game, and the aforementioned Mega/Rock Man 10 on the PlayStation Store, as a bundle pack from June 22 to June 25, 2018 for $4.49 (US), which is 70% off of the regular price of the games.
Man the stage designs are ridiculous especially in tornado man's stage. I consider myself lucky because in Mega Man legacy collection 2 theirs a extra armor option that will help take less damage. But it still be quite a challenge in mm9.
Mega Man going after a FEMALE Robot Master?? Why does this remind me of the trollpasta "It's Your First Kiss, Charlie Brown"!? I'm just expecting Mega Man to start thinking "I don't have much time." and then start saying "I'm getting old. I have to get that kiss, I have to reach Splash Woman, I have to-".
Has Chun-Li taken a new job on the TV News, now that she has 'retired' from showing off her well toned and sexy stockinged legs before fighting people? Oh and Thomas Light, send in Mega Man to take care of those robots who 'lost their shit' while Roll and co. clean and cook and stuff. Pity Roll doesn't look like past 'jailbait' age in this game.
Is that plans for Bass on Wiley's computer thing at 1:17:00? Also, the song there sounds like the stage select music from MM2 just at a different composition.
He's probably planning to capture and reprogram Bass. Probably even upgrade him even more. Or maybe, as farfetched as this sounds, He's probably barely thinking about creating Zero and using Bass's design as a template.
After attempting to take over the world eight times (not counting the non-NES games), he puts the blame on Dr. Light, asks for donations to help stop them, and everyone except Mega Man and his 'family' believes him.Uh-huh. Yeah, sure. Okay. Perfectly reasonable.
+TwoTailedSponge If I recall, I think he was actually going to do it in Mega Man 7 but he got stopped by Bass or something. He was just like "No! I know you're just going to do bad things again like you always do, so I am going to end it right here, right now!"
+Purple Pumpkin well there had already been plenty of games before that. It would have been a good ending to lead into Mega Man X. I think it would have been an interesting plot that since the original had killed a human he would have been broken down and Dr. Light then builds the model for X who later worries about becoming a maverick and acting like his predecessor.
This is pretty much conceived using Mega Man 2, 5 and 6 art style and music as a basis right? Didn't notice any MM 1, 3, & 4 influence in there. MM2 for the music, sound effects and art (like robot master lair gates, reverting to classic mega man powers, stage select screen and many other screens, weapons and coloring), maybe a tiny bit of MM3 for some art and sounds and MM5 & 6 for some art like stage levels sound effects like weapons and enemies. But mostly MM2 & 5 I see here. Look at those stages and music and that wave man stage copy for splash woman lol. Nice nod. Also with "Auto" added from MM 7 (even though Capcom hints he should be taken as a character that was around helping MM.
The way I see it is that MM9 is an easy version of Mega Man in every aspect. I had lost count between the originals and X and this is actually cute but looks almost inoffensive.
(Head: guts man) (Torso: wood man) (Arm 1: Gemini man) (Arm 2: pharaoh man) (Buster: Gravity man) (Belt: Yamato man) (Leg 1: spring man) (Leg 2: grenade man) Backstory: when Dr. Wily wanted to make something for a castle boss, he made recycle man, a prototype that crumpled due to its own crappy materials, but as it turns out, this was not the case and he was just practicing for mega man 12.
I love 9. The only that I don’t like is the continuation of only4 sounds being played at a time, and since this game has so many complex songs, it often makes a noticeable, and distracting cut in the music.

24:03 Those damn blocks lol
9:51 theres an easy way to not get hurt here,
just walk right next to the elephant.
when it comes back, just walk back and jump.
the whole concrete jungle stage is easy.
Hopefully someday I'll get to play this wonderful-looking game...
1:12:20 NAILED IT ;)
Not quite, he didn’t beat him
Mega Man 3 & 9 are two of the greatest videogames of all-time!
The mario series wants to have a talk with you.
megaman X?
@@64bitmodels66 he said two of, not the
megaman 4 and X4?
"2" & "X" are the best megaman games.
The music is incredible.
I know early Mega-Man games had issues displaying multiple sprites, such that Mega would go invisible at times.
you can do omnidirectional aiming as Bass, MM&B is not the best game but he's fun as fuck to control
This game is so badass!
Fermifire SHUT UP!!
Yes sir, it is💪
Best classic mega man game
The galaxy man theme its cool
I'm planning to remake every MM9 robot master stage in Mega Man Maker. I already recreated stages for Splash Woman, Jewel Man, and Plug Man!
What about the wily stages
Good luck with completing the rest of the stages! 😀
Oh hey i watch your videos lol
More time has passed now between now and megama 8 (16 years 2008-2024), than megaman 6 and megaman 8 (14 years - 1994-2008).
His bank account number is the release date of the first MM game
Kinda looks like an NES game with the Sega Master System color palette.
chun li giving a news report at 1:20 lol
1:01:51 Bamboozled
Man the stage designs are ridiculous especially in tornado man's stage. I consider myself lucky because in Mega Man legacy collection 2 theirs a extra armor option that will help take less damage. But it still be quite a challenge in mm9.
LOL, megaman's not at his finest hour.
This game seems like a huge step backwards after parts 7 and 8. It would've been fine if it came right after 6.
Penúltimo Megaman antes do hiato que foi quebrado em 2018 agora com Megaman 11!!! E o easter egg da aparição da Chun-Li em MM9 soa bem curioso!!!😁😁😁😁😁

Rock/mega man release date

I love the music of this game, it's so cool
Mega Man going after a FEMALE Robot Master?? Why does this remind me of the trollpasta "It's Your First Kiss, Charlie Brown"!? I'm just expecting Mega Man to start thinking "I don't have much time." and then start saying "I'm getting old. I have to get that kiss, I have to reach Splash Woman, I have to-".
Love the intro music. It's the best
53:11 That was close!
Hey my dad had mega man 9 on Xbox, and I beat 2 bosses at it! my 1st boss defeated was galaxy man, and my 2nd boss to me was contrete man
So wheres Your Game?
Double Death! 1:12:13
Protoman has Charge Shots and Sliding. Not Megaman.
In the Nes games you actually got a chance to complete the stages
OMG the next Megaman with classic style waoooooo
Tornado man and mega man had a draw pawned each other . lol

this moment made go mad man 😤
Second best Mega Man soundtrack!
What’s the best?
@@DylanDude Megaman 2
Mega Man 4.
I wish MM10 was made to this standard. Seemed like they cheaped out on it. I havent played 11 yet, but it looks like a cool refurbished MM7-8
I wish it was simpler just to remake a classic.
Megaman legacy collection I and II
Megaman powered up
Megaman wily wars
After attempting to take over the world eight times (not counting the non-NES games), he puts the blame on Dr. Light, asks for donations to help stop them, and everyone except Mega Man and his 'family' believes him.Uh-huh. Yeah, sure. Okay. Perfectly reasonable.
Mega Man 9 is Definitely Mega Man 7 and it also being know as A Sequel of MegaMan 6 period, man this really Canon.
I'm wondering. Would it really please Mega Man fans if he finally killed off Dr. Wily?
+TwoTailedSponge If I recall, I think he was actually going to do it in Mega Man 7 but he got stopped by Bass or something. He was just like "No! I know you're just going to do bad things again like you always do, so I am going to end it right here, right now!"
+GoldenBear92 Yeah. That was a badass ending!
+GoldenBear92 yeah he was.. but honestly Mega man knows without wily he has no plot, no backbone, no reason to live.
+Purple Pumpkin well there had already been plenty of games before that. It would have been a good ending to lead into Mega Man X. I think it would have been an interesting plot that since the original had killed a human he would have been broken down and Dr. Light then builds the model for X who later worries about becoming a maverick and acting like his predecessor.
you know the NES big 6 was mega mans highlight in the sun, fuck the X series.
Love the weapons
The way I see it is that MM9 is an easy version of Mega Man in every aspect. I had lost count between the originals and X and this is actually cute but looks almost inoffensive.
I'm surprised they haven't created "RECYCLE man" yet.
(Head: guts man)
(Torso: wood man)
(Arm 1: Gemini man)
(Arm 2: pharaoh man)
(Buster: Gravity man)
(Belt: Yamato man)
(Leg 1: spring man)
(Leg 2: grenade man)
Backstory: when Dr.
