How to Make Stewed Beef Brisket with Tomato at Home

    Ingredients (2 Servings)
    Brisket 500g
    Tomato 4 pcs
    Potato 2 pcs
    Onion 1pc
    Scallion 1pc
    Ginger 10g
    Garlic 3 pcs
    Sugar 30g
    Cooking oil 30ml
    Light soy sauce 30ml
    Bean paste 20g
    White pepper 2g
    Salt 2g
    Recipe
    1 1 Peel the tomatoes: cut the top of the tomatoes in the shape of a cross, place the tomatoes in a bowl. Pour boiling water until submerged tomatoes. Peel off the tomato skin gently.
    2 Cut the tomatoes into small pieces and set aside
    3 Cut the potatoes into small pieces
    4 Shred the onion and set aside. Cut the scallion, ginger and garlic into pieces and set aside
    5 Cut the brisket into pieces of about 2-3cm in size and set aside.
    6 Put cold water in a pot and pour the brisket into the pot. Scoop out the scum after the water boils
    7 Fish the brisket out of the pot. Rinse well with water and set aside
    8 Make caramel colour: Turn on the fire to medium heat, Pour 30ml cooking oil into the pan and pour in 30 grams of sugar. Keep stirring until the sugar melts and turns caramel color
    9 Pour the brisket into the frying pan, stir-fry the brisket for half a minute until it turns caramelized.
    10 Pour in the scallions, ginger and garlic and stir-fry evenly. Pour in the onion and stir-fry for about 1 minute
    11 Pour in soy sauce, bean paste and white pepper and stir-fry well. Pour in the tomatoes and continue to stir-fry for about 1 minute
    12 Pour in about 500 ml of boiling water.
    13 Pour the beef brisket into the casserole. Cover with a lid, Turn on high heat until boiling then turn to low heat and continue to simmer for half an hour
    14 Pour the potatoes into the casserole half an hour later and continue to simmer for another half hour. Add 2g of salt and serve.
