So hyped for this movie, and Tim and Mishka are only just increasing it. ;-) also, is it possible that Stormfly's glow in the HIdden World, is similar to how scorpions can glow in the dark when under a blacklight?

    • @marshymoo566
      @marshymoo566 6 років тому +1

I'm thinking the glow may be more of a reflection off of stormflys scales but I could be totally wrong. That was just the vibe I was getting

I was thinking that it was something similar to how birds view UV light, normally UV light is invisible to the naked eye to us, however birds can see it and have evolved to reflect it onto their feathers to attract mates, so it might be the case that this is how the dragons also use it. So it maybe a case of a chain reaction from the plants' light and onto her scales that somehow makes the UV light visible to humans.

I think of huge being like an elephant and massive being like a blue whale if that gives you an idea of size difference.

I just watched your natural habitat video. Judging by your analysis I believe the night fury to naturally live in the hidden world. But we also know that their eggs hatch when struck by lighting, so they either lived alongside the skrill or they have to leave to lay their eggs on mountaintops.

You probably cannot judge the chamber's age just by using pillar size. The rate of water flow responsible for the pillar growth plays a factor. Since the water flowing into the caldera seems pretty massive, his could have resulted in faster growth. Just saying that the chambers are not concretely proven to be...... I am nitpicking way too much......

DragonKnight gamer - Well, we know from the cartoon how to train your dragon race to the edge that some speed stingers can run on water, but I’m not sure how they would get down. Maybe the other dragons will help them, or they can climb their way down the sides.

To answer your Question, Massive is bigger than Huge. Huge is around the same line of Large, while massive is a step above large, or can be even bigger, such as a Massive mountain.
Now, and idea I had was the Light Fury originally lived in the hidden world for her entire life, up until the movie. I believe that sometime during the movie, the top of the underwater volcano collapsed, opening up an exit for the dragons such as the Light Fury, an exit to the surface, which is the reason why only in the third movie, is when they experience the Light Fury, as it is just exploring the surface world. Enjoy your trip Tim!

I have a theory on why Stormfly's scales glow when she is in the hidden world. I was thinking that it was something similar to how birds view UV light, normally UV light is invisible to the naked eye to us, however birds can see it and have evolved to reflect it onto their feathers to attract mates, so it might be the case that this is how the dragons also use it. The hidden world has not flooded yet because the only only entrance is the NEW volcanic caldera which might be Dragons Edge. That would also explain why Hiccup hasn't encountered any light studies is they inhabit the Hidden world and have only just been released. Eventually all the dragons will drown in the flooded hidden world except for tidal class dragons. Like so Tim sees.

the word "Huge" is a reference to volume, while "massive" is a reference to how much mass something has. For example, wolf rayet stars are some of the most massive starts in the known universe, but not the largest due to their density. While "Huge" stars like V.Y. Canis Majoris can be very "light weight" for their enormous size.

I believe that the reason why stormfly glows is glowing phosprecence in the water which coates them as they fly into the hidden world. Also if you look closely at stormfly the glowing pattern on her is very similar to the light furies lilac pattern.

Yess finally a video that wasn’t uploaded at night! (Ya know, time zones ‘n stuff). Also, it would definitely make sense for this place to be ancient, as in most literature, dragons are presented as ancient themselves. It just seems fitting :). QotD: I would want to have a husky’s ability to create energy out of stored fat/glucose (I can’t exactly remember how it works) when they grow tired while running, so I wouldn’t be as tired as a sleeping sloth all the time :P (also, massive is bigger than huge)

Hey, might I just point out, that if the magma chambers emptied, it means the magma went down and not up. The moment magma touches air (or water) it becomes lava and it starts to harden and that's how you get volcanic islands. Also what would push it out if not more magma? So it went back down.

i just want to throw this out there but doesnt it seem like the light fury is kinda adapted to swimming? at least a little bit, i mean the fin-like spine along her back, the smaller nose and the less and smaller antenna even suggest swimming deep down, and yes obviously she can fly but her wings do kinda look more.... webbed i guess then what toothless's do... i mean his look much like the average scaled dragon's wings but the light fury's wings look kinda like they were adapted to be functional underwater, i mean im no scientist but it does seem like shes been not only adapted to low light but to swimming, at least a small bit, hey maybe swimming is how she gets her food, and we even see toothless save hiccup in.... gaah i forgot which movie but the were underwater, but toothless doesnt really use his wings, so.... maybe light fury's wings help her like giant fins underwater? not like we havent seen swimming dragons before soo.....
anyways again i was just throwing this out there, but you dont have to listen to me after all im no scientist but it just kinda seemed that the light fury was adapted to swimming, no idea how much grounds this has to stand on, just looked at her design in a buch of httyd3 analyzing videos and said "none of them have mentioned this... heey maybe i'll mention this!"
so yea again all the things just an idea, if you find more stuff on it maybe make a vid about it, but eh doubt this will get seen, soo... for anyone browsing the comments hello and thanks for getting to the bottom of my comment i guess?
    also great vids

With how much water is pouring into the hidden world. Working under the assumption that the volcano that was there prior had some surrounding land to it. There may be just enough land to keep the ocean at Bay but little enough of the former land that it would allow for the ocean to spill over inside. An analogy for this, just in reverse, is imagine a glass of water. You have it filled up just to the brim. Any movement of the water in the glass would cause it to over flow. At least that is how I would make sense of the situation. Assuming that the Chambers have been empty of lava for millions of years.
