People are confusing Taylor's and Joe's agreement to keep the details of their relationship private with an agreement to stay out of the public eye. You can keep your private life private while still attending public events together.
Exactly! She even said it takes a lot of work to keep a relationship private. It may have become a strain on their relationship, as she became to feel isolated.
idk why people hate Joe. Taylor herself said that there was 0 cheating. I think his comment was fair.
He wanted to clear his name. Fair. I think Taylor didn’t focused on Joe in her album, people is the one who wants to make it about Joe, but clearly most of the album is for Matty literally almost all of it.
Matty wants nothing to do with it, according to reports, and denies amny of the things people are "making it about him."

Joe had the right to speak because of the accusations people made against him, but it’s weird this is the most he ever talked about Taylor. While they agreed on a private relationship, I get why Taylor left. Imagine your partner not talking about you, not walking a red carpet with you, or always worried about being seen, and to top it all off he never proposed in 6+years. Totally understandable why Taylor left.
I understand him tbh. I'm a very private person and hate it when people get into my business. Maybe Taylor swift fame can be overwhelming over time.

Had to click right away when I saw the title!! I agree that Taylor did want to keep her relationship private at the beginning, but she definitely wanted to go public on the last few years and I feel like Joe did not want to do that.

There's a difference between being "private" (which I'm sure Taylor did agree to) verses you being clearly ashamed and resentful of Taylor's fame (which she obviously didn't agree too. #Bejeweled💎) For all intents and purposes, Taylor and Travis' relationship is still very private. We don't know their daily logistics or anything crazy intimate about the duo. We literally only know that they are loving and supportive of one another because Travis isn't embarrassed or trying to hide from a very large fact of Taylor's life, she's a major star. They go out, they travel, they're not fleeing from paps. Joe can say whatever he wants 😂 Also I'm sick of this holier than thou act. Like we get it Joe, you like to live a simple life 🙄. You're not better because of it. It also makes no sense because you clearly want to be known for your acting work. Anyone who is famous is not bad for wanting be seen and known. He also acts like a victim of Taylor's fame like dude, SHE WAS MADE FOR THIS. How did you not know what you were signing up for. You literally didn't know her or understand her at all.
They were definitely and most certainly incompatible like the very definition. Honestly if it wasn't for Kim and kanye drama and the whole snake gate fiasco, I seriously doubt taylor would have dated this man. Like she was in a vulnerable place and this clown swooped in. Anyway, taylor is with who she's meant to be with as she says on her songs to Travis. Her ex was an amateur and I'm tired of hearing about him.

Here’s the thing that some - including Joe - seem to forget. This relationship started at a time that Taylor elected to remove herself from the public THEN Covid happened and there was a mandate to self quarantine and socially distance which fit into JOE’S desire to keep the WHOLE THING under wraps BUT as soon as people were allowed to start socializing again HE wanted to CONTINUE things like they were and Taylor was ready to show the world that she was coming out swinging but she had NO ONE, ESPECIALLY the “man” that had helped her get through a hard time in her life. She was ready walk in the room and SHIMMER! Like only she can and her was trying to hold her back and dull her shine. He couldn’t put his own personality aside the way she had for him and allow her to glow in the radiance of all the hard work she had done while being tucked away. He needs to acknowledge THAT. He couldn’t handle her fame and WOULDN’T support her career and allow her to be radiant. He was very selfish in that sense.

Joe gives me a bad vibe, like he still think he is superior some how, even just with the bits we get from Taylors songs about him, how he made her feel always less than him, not seeing, not loved, caged. Never cared about Joe and I care even less now. He seems arrogant especially with that smile line from the journalist. He has always been somewhat snobbish and still functions in that mode. Of course he’s has listened to Taylor’s new album now that he knows how the music industry works and how Taylor operates. Too bad he’s profiting from Taylor’s previous music. He can act arrogant all he wants. Taylor has mounted the world and lives the life neither he nor anyone else has. I say good riddance.
