This is the best video ever!!!! Iam fifty three years old and my generation thinks they know it all. You guys not only do it better, you also do it with a style and enthusiasm that is unbelievable!!!!!

Well done gents. Thank you for the memories. This is how my brothers and I went out when we were hunting for meat for the year. It’s been a long time, and I miss them. Thank you 🤜🤛
I used to go fishing with a pocket knife and a pack of hot dogs. Whittle up a spit and either put the day's catch or a hot dog and cook it over a driftwood fire. No utensils. Just a dumb-ass kid having a ball. I feel sorry for city kids.

For me Some of my best memories as a teen was camping with my buddies. We never winter camped but did much in the summer weekends. Learned to cuss, fart at will, tell dirty jokes, talk about girls and much more. Looking back I had great friends. You are guys experiencing life long memories. You sure appreciate it today but much more when your older.
Amen to what Mike Z said...there will come a time when such adventures simply aren't possible any more, but you will have this video record to look back on...

Well done, guys! I look forward to more videos. It is refreshing seeing experiences that I learned being done through young men like you guys. Stay off those frozen rivers! To many people never get found that way. You three make a great team! Best of luck to you all!
Who the hell would put a thumbs down to this?? You guys were great. Lots of fun I bet. I'm in Canada and love winter camping. Very challenging. Great job guys👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I see that a lot. Seems like any video you see has someone being a troll. You could show a man saving a buss load of orphans from a burning volcano while pulling a stranded nun out of quicksand with his teeth, and carrying home the rescued litter of rare Gobi bear cubs and some one would still dislike it.
Hello Bush Bros...great video..... I am an old fart 63 years and we winter camp in the canvass prospector tents with the floors in them. Up here in Manitouwadge it gets like minus 35 for two months in the winter. Around March when it warms up that is when we go. the temp is still like minus 20 or so but it is dry air and withstand able. I have a cot with a 6 inch piece of foam to sleep on and all tents have a stove. We have a huge bon fire lit for a week solid and burn about 2 cords of wood in a week lol. The pickerel fishing is awesome and so are the tail end of the northern lights. To see them in their full glory it is late Jan or early Feb.We have a great set up at the Kagiano Lake Dam landing. We eat like kings and even have a home made brick oven for fresh baked bread. The trick to winter camping is to stay dry...dont over dress as that will make you sweat. Do things slow so you dont sweat! foot wear should be loose and breathable, and wear snowshoes to stay on top of the snow. I love winter camping and I will die in the bush by an ice fishing hole preferably...CHEERS!
Manitouwadge, wow…thats a name i haven't heard in a while ! We spent a week there in the late 80's when i was playing music and man oh man that was the coldest week I've ever experienced. -40 to -55 the whole time. Froze our equipment truck solid. When we pulled into town, we couldn't figure out why everyone left their vehicles running in the driveway. Found out real quick ! My toes are still numb.. Anyway CHEERS

I really enjoyed watching these kids out there. So nice to see kids put their phones down and go enjoy the outdoors and practice their BC skills. I used to winter camp a lot about 30 years ago with a similar floorless but stoveless shelter - Quest Nova, IIRC -. Brings back many memories. The only area where I depart from their practice is that I never cooked or ate in my shelter and any drinking mugs had closed tops to avoid spills on my sleeping bag or clothes.
Hey guys your video is great. Your spirits are fantastic! Your tee pee building was super. If I may give you a small suggestion make the hole at the top a small bit bigger to draw the smoke out! But not too much because it takes the heat to. Also you will like the larger longer plastic tent stakes better, the steel bend and they don’t hold as good as the plastic. We always scraped the snow out and put down another tarp on the bottom. Have fun out there and don’t freeze your nuts off.
Watching this on Jan 5, 2020. You guys are awesome. Camping outdoors in the cold better than playing video games. Amazed that your simple plastic tarp did so well under those temperature conditions. Still doing this at 62 years old in Colorado.
I must say boy's I'm impressed. I've been camping with guys three times your age who didn't have your level of knowledge and know how and having the wit's about hiking smart around water. definitely subbed, great video guys..
Well done guys! I take it that it is important to insulate your sleeping bags from the cold wet ground and to be able to find your way back to the tarp. tent.

When I was a young buck, me and some buddies tried camping at 37 below with nothing but an open fire. We did okay, but it was not really much fun. Basically just fed the fire all night in shifts. Still, it was an adventure. You guys are pretty good, I like that there are no slackers in your group.
Thanks Bushbros for all your recommendations on equipment. Just got back from a winter overnighter and the winter pants, bag liner, insulated water bottles you led me too worked great and made for a smooth successful outing.
Was about to say the same thing. I grew up in the bush, hunting and fishing, but then I moved to the city for school, and spent the rest of my 20s (and countless $) hanging out in crowded night clubs with other like minded idiots. What a tragic waste. These kids are on the right track. A night in the woods is better than city night life and all the douchebaggery that goes along with it.
Loved your video guys. You have great survival skills. I always say everyone needs to camp. You learn to compensate with what's on hand such as wood for spoons. That made me chuckle. You also learn not to sweat the small stuff. Winter camping has always been on my bucket list. Plan to do it soon. Greetings from a Wisconsinite.

Generally they have a measuring table on the side and of course you can store water or other beverages in them. Good luck.

When you and your friends go out to eat, ask the restaurant if they have any plastic sporks for their to-go customers. Place those in your camping cook set so you and your friends do not have to use wood for utensils. On your tarp for the stove, flap get a piece of velcro from the hobby isle and sew a small piece to hold it up and not resting on the pipe itself. use the rest of velcro to help close your door and not allow for so much wind to get in and let heat escape. Great video, some of the scenes would be a reminder of how great your childhood was. Someone has a good sense of style when it comes to video editing.
Thanks you so much for the advice. We actually do have sporks in our cooking gear, but we enjoy making wooden tools, like a spatula. The stove flap is nonflammable material, but it does sound like a good idea. We also definitely thought about velcro, or a zipper for the door to keep the cold air and wind out. Glad we can remind you of your childhood, we don't take it for granted. Thanks so much for commenting!!
Awesome dig set up guys . A sharp poker is good to use for thumping iffy ice. Especially where there is grass, willows etc ... There's decay from those plants which mean heat ... 👍🏻🇨🇦

Thank you so much for the comment!!
You guys should do a video where you sit around a campfire the weekend after a trip and discuss things that you did wrong and things that you would do again! Kind of a review of the trip.
Good idea!
