You will find a lot of rumors about so called 3HO Gurduaras. Many people visit and are pleasantly surprised to find that it's not what they thought it would be. Sikhs are all brothers and sisters. I would suggest to visit your brothers and sisters yourself and then decide, rather than listen to others opinions. Especially from the internet there are gross exaggerations and some flat out lies. Siri Guru Granth Sahib is the Guru of the world and is the highest leader of all Sikhs.
I don't have a problem with yoga, or tai chi or any other recreational activity for that matter. I'm also not against Sikhs doing such recreational activities either! I just don't like when they mislead people that kundalini yoga IS Sikhism when it has nothing to do with it. Yoga (and tai chi or any other such recreational activity) should be kept out of the Gurdwara. Keep yoga for the yoga studios.
Woman can do kertan in darbar sahib and they can be part of 5 pyare. Masands were the ones that took over our gurudawaras and changed alot of out history and idologies during gorrilla war type fights. yes, alot of these yogis and 3ho's arnt sikhs, as picture and idol worship is against our faith and they do all that.

American are very narrow minded about relugions and the world outside of the USA. However once they know a sikh is not a Muslim then they respect us more and research the sikh background and then actually acknowledge depths the religions brings along with its differences to many other religions.
They have Guruji's photos as a mark of respect for Gurus..Without Gurus, who would have helped them...they bow their heads in front of Gurus..Even Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji is Sikhs' Guru...Sikhs bow their heads in front of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji ...Paying respect does not mean they consider them God....Gurus have clearly said that God is only one..Timeless, Formless...but Sikhs respect Gurus and will always have pics in homes and thank Gurus for showing the path to Salvation.

I recommend they replace Miri-Piri Academy of Amritsar with a Sikh Dharma based Kundaliin Academy! In USA people who adopt Sikh Dharma from the Meditative paths they are Sikhs of Light, but students of Miri-Piri and even worse 5th Centenary School in Mussiore they pick up bad Indian habits that Gurus opposed from the Hindutva RSS agents in Punjab like drugs. Then they loose the kids loose the path. Instil Sikhia into babies and never have any problems, forget Miri Piri the Indian teachers bad

very true Sikhs have been at war with Muslims for centuries and they are on the border of Pakistan India so there is always tension between them.
Its wrong to have those photos in Gurdwaras and even at our homes. We are back to doing the same ritual which Guru ji opposed.
