were did you buy it and for how much?
Your head gasket is blown that's what that clicking is when you get on the gas. Your mechanic didn't torque the bolts right take it back.

I only gave 1700$ for my 05 TRX450r and it had a good motor on it, i cleaned the carb, all the plastics were good everything was mostly stock and ive only invested like 560$ on the exhaust and like 230$ on the graphics kit.

@@keyboard5090 That is a really fast quad for a beginner. I would highly recommend staying away from the 450 race quads until you are at least 16.

My cousin has a Honda 400ex identical to yours also in a few of our Videos and more coming soon not bad for 10 years old I always kill the 400ex first try the Yamaha warrior 350 no problem but honda 400ex every time and very true you can get some decent toys pretty cheap

I have a 2002 400ex too. By the way, you got ripped off on your top end. I just bought my top end kit by CP Carrillo and I spent $250 on it and it is the stock bore and me and my dad, $1500 is outrageous. Non the less great videos man.

I wanna get a 400ex or a 500 recon or a 450 raptor , I kinda want a 4x4 but the 2wd get my attention too
I'm 20 and 5'7 bout 140 pounds
For me, I've had fun on both 4x4's and EX's. If you you can swing the cash, then a perfect set up would be a 4x4 for camping and hunting, and an EX for when you want to go fast.
The Raptor is good on the track, but you'll rebuild the top end several times before you would need to rebuild an EX motor.
"450 raptor" is not a real quad it is a YFZ 450

I have a 440 cc big bore with a 11.1 high comp piston, big bore cylinder, stage 2 cam, HD springs, HD studs, HD timing chain, full HMF exhaust, No air box lid, jetted carb, CFM scoops, Pro armor race peg fatty nerf bars, 2'' wheel spacers on rear, TRX250R front shocks, 14/36 gearing, spa cooling fan, shaved fenders, Pro armor front pumper, pro armor Grab bar. The thing is a bad ass ride!

These 400ex’s are really tame. Especially stock, but even bored with a hotcam, they are just not aggressively fast.

We have a full break-down of all parts and all internal engine work that’s been done, and it’s extensive at this point. Our more recent videos demonstrate where we were going with this build, but to date, we have a massive amount invested and only the best of everything installed. The motor was recently built by Allen at CT racing, and every seal, bearing, wire, bolt, cable, gear, or switch down to the smallest destabilize has been replaced with the best on the market. It’s expensive.

Jaidon Lusk , Yes. It’s had a lot of work done to it since. I also sent the motor in to a shop that’s rated very highly across the country. After a proper rebuild they are installing an all new wiring harness.
