The Caline "The Noise" noise gate pedal is a really simple and effective noise gate at a great price. It will help combat single coil buzz simply by setting the threshold limit via the middle control. The switch controls the hard and soft gate control so you can have it cut out faster (hard) or slower (soft). This is a really great pedal for the price check them out online below.

This pedal helped my guitar. I was running back and forth my guitar shop how to get the buzz gone... thought circuit went broken... now it is much better.
Another awesome demo Shane !!! I’m not a gear snob so I really love what Caline and JOYO are releasing. Your demos make me want to buy each one ! - Rick / PureSalem Guitars.
Hi Shane, a noise gate is also pretty usefull in the effect loop, especially with higher gain amps where the preamp generates a whole lot of noise (or because of poor power supply filtering). By the way, I have the Donner noise gate pedal and it seems to be a similar circuit as far as I can tell from the decay...
Thank you! I may need a noise gate for my Santa Fe too once I get all the mods done.
What would you choose?Caline?Rowin?Mooer?
Thanks alot for your demo man! Very helpful. Best regard from PH
Ayos
I think the soft setting is helpful if you want trails of reverb or delay to make it through
you can actually hear some single coil buzz through the note playing, which i used to hate but actually grew to love. it sounds dirty and mean, like an electrified guitar should. and single coils never had trouble standing out in a mix anyway! i ended up deciding not to replace my stock pickups with EMGs or any other noiseless single coils.
Does it effect the sustain of single note if you keep it?
Like we listen in Estranged, for example
What do u do with all of the pedals you test? Send them back, keep em, sell em? Thanks for the videos.
How does this compare with latest Mooer noise killer and Donner noise suppressor? Cheers, love the show.
Hey shane, I was just wondering what you think of chapman guitars and chapman himself. I don't want to start any drama but I was just wondering what you think of the topic. Cheers!
He seems like a reasonable guy but I am not interested in his guitars at all. Not my kind of style.
intheblues oh ok yeah I agree Im not into the looks of many of their guitars either. BTW I've been watching your vids for 3 years now and you've helped me a lot with making decisions on what pedals to buy. Your a great player too! Keep it up! 👍🏽
Great product!!!! Another great video review!!!!👍🏽🤘🏽✌🏾
sounds fine for guys liking a lot of drive for rhythm tones, might not be as good if you are playing more ballad type tunes where single note sustain is a requirement.
Which budget noise gate/supressor would you recommend, a lot seem to have bad release times cutting tone especially the earlier models like the Joyo Noise Gate.
Caline "The Noise" or Donner Noise Killer, which do you prefer?
Nice one Shane. Just ordered one after vizing this vid. So it's all your fault.
Sorry, I screwed up the support link; I ended up at Amazon Tonga. I'm in Wales.
So I didn't get you you're support points.
People say that noise gates suck tone is that right? To me it sounds liike it only kicks in after you stop playing. Also do you always have one on your pedal board when your playing live?
Snooze00 in most cases it depends for me I have a boss ns-2 and I just have my compressor in the loop of that pedal then my overdrive outside of that and it works....I do also use the BBE sonic stomp in the fx loop which works wonders for the whole amp and eq
That's a good 1! Very effective.
Hi. I have this pedal, So I should be putting this before the Distortion, so that will be Amp -Noise Gate - Distortion - Guitar. Because When I put the Distortion first then Noise gate, The noise gate works, but the Distortion is just making noises.
And when I put it on hard or soft mode and set the knob to 1 oclock to max, The sound just shuts down. Is this normal? It's the first time that I use a noise gate.
Yes ofcourse if you max, you're literally closing the gate
"Eeeeeee" explains it all 1:02
What model is your guitar?
Please answer...
It’s the thingamabob noise that does the job if you want to get rid of that single coil buzz and at a low price.
What guitar is that?
How long will it let a note or chord ring out before it cuts the note off?
Depends on what you dial
I love it ! Blues On....
use on fx loop. or test with overdrive. set up is different.
Does it kill sustain at all?
Excellent !! Gotta have it ! ;-)
Model of your guitar? please....
Hi! Can I use this on my bass guitar?
?
why shaneee jajaja i will do my demo about this on saturday. you won men jajaja nice job Caline
Any latency when you are playing Shane?
WHY would you have latency?
I ask because I own a Harley Benton NG-100 noise gate and although the listener does not hear it the player feels a split second of latency which I find slightly disconcerting. That is why I ask ´is there any latency´? Comprende?
NO, as I am not sure what you mean by 'latency'. You mean a delay or an echo.
Latency is usually a term used in recording when monitoring the processed audio.
OR do you mean how LONG the gate opens and closes after you stop making a sound?
To put it as simply as I can, without the gate when a note is plucked the sound is instantly heard. With the gate there is a micro second wait for the note to sound. That is what I am calling latency.
RIGHT! Got ya Chris! It's the ATTACK time of the gate! As yours is a HB, it's a budget line, with a fixed attack rate. Some of the better ones may have a variable attack rate that you can set to suit your sound and playing style!
Good points!
