New system for managing and storing inventory and making it as fool proof as possible.
While there are a few constraints with the system, it is completely better than the old one and is visually striking.
Rely on good systems and procedures rather than expending brain power where it is not needed.
All the labels, including the ones on the colored tape were created by using 4x6 dymo labels-no ink required. The colored tape is 3m plastic tape (not electrical tape.)

Thanks! More videos to come
Really clever systems in place - very helpful thank you!
Glad you like em, more improvements to come
Color coding the shelves is clever!
Question for you, how do you handle returns? I know this video is older and your processes may have changed drastically by now, but I really like the way youve organized your goods and want to implement something like this at my work. However, I am supplying uniforms to employees. We have a big turnover rate, so I am constantly getting return uniforms. After sending to laundry, I get them back, clean but unfolded and no longer in nice plastic packs from the vendor. Do you have any suggestions how I can go about storing my returns when returning to stock? I am learning a lot from your videos, thank you for sharing your content and ideas. You never know just how far they reach and who they will help! Thank you!
Returns are a little bit tricky. Sometimes a customer might request a return due to a financial situation so they do not open the package and it arrives in its original packaging - I encourage this in my FAQ page on my website. If a customer tries on something and it doesn’t work, it’s never returned nice and neatly as when packaged, so I lint roll, fold, and rebag an item with a new bag - the plastic bag around the tshirt usually gets too dinged up so I just toss it and rebag it. When I get returns, I just put them in a separate area from normal, ready to go stock, before it gets reintegrated into general inventory. I try to handle all returns the day of arrival, so they don’t just sit around in process for days as that neither helps me nor the customer awaiting a refund. I also don’t want unfolded garments from returns to sit around for a long time because then can get really wrinkled and that means they need a little ironing sometimes. Hope that helps
Absolutely love it 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 thanks for sharing. I need this really bad 😫 I'm running out of storage
It can get tricky sometimes! Finding space
Absolutely
this is beautiful! good job!
Thank you
Love the color code and the sizes of the boxes. Where did you get the boxes?
Uline.com 20x15x9 boxes!

I love all your videos I'm learning a lot! I have a question what size are your shelves and the boxes you use to hold your inventory?
I got links to all of that in the video description ☺️
@@rubashkastreetwear I didn't see them and love to get some of those shelf units

Great system, what are the size of these boxes? Are these uline ?
Hello, yes these are 20x15x9 ULINE boxes. I have tried other brands of boxes for the inventory box but I would recommend the ULINE ones because they are sturdier. I’m already on year 5 with these boxes and they haven’t broke down yet, super nice.
@@rubashkastreetwearcan you suggest any plastic ones? I have my workspace at home and can’t use cardboard because it attracts roaches where I live :-)
What about Printing the t-shirt grey on the label, put a scribble of blue highlighter on the shirt to quick find the blue shirts.
Definitely, that could be an easy way to make a visual indication
I LOVE THIS BRO!! NEW SUBSCRIBER!!
Glad to hear!
Great video. You printed in black and white and not color because you wanted to save $10 in overhead? Wouldn't the value you'd get from having color labels be more than $10 you are trying to save?
Hello Matthew,
Great question. It’s actually just easier for me to print these on 4x6 dymo labels which come only come in black and white, rather than a sheet in color. The color printing takes longer, then I would have to cut the sheet into 4 parts to get the same size label. Additionally, because I make new designs every month, many of the clothing items I have get retired quickly so I don’t invest much time in these labels as they will end up in the recycle bin. Color labels would be nice but they just don’t make sense to me at this moment :)
Great vid man. Do you just cut down the pads to fit the box as dividers?
Yes. Each cardboard pad makes 4 dividers for the system we have set up
Love your organization... your t shirts seem to come in its plastic bag who sells like that
Thank you !
Did you just cut cardboard pieces to put between the clothes ?
The short answer is yes there is a piece of cardboard as a box divider. I made a video explaining this further: ua-cam.com/video/jpK_PPd6JJA/v-deo.htmlsi=M2L5oQtFJYG8bk74
Use a color dot of the correct color on the label, blue red- etc.
That would be cool! For now, we print the labels on thermal paper so it only prints in black and white, to save on printing costs.
Hey Dimitri, what size re-sealable bags do you use for T-Shirts and Hoodies?
For t shirts S-XXL I use 10x12 bags, Hoodies S-L I use 12x15 bags, and Hoodies XL, XXL I use 13x16 bags
@@rubashkastreetwear Thank you for your response, I have learned so much watching your videos! Thank you for putting out so many helpful tips and tricks when you could be keeping them to yourself.
Hello nice video, I just have a question relating putting each item in one plastic bag
Is it needed to put it in? To prevent anything like termites or humid?
I saw some shops put in plastic bag to store, then when they sell they put in another branded bag. so I just wonder
Hello, it is an industry standard to have the product wrapped in either a plastic bag or paper before placed into a shipping bag. This helps protect the clothing in case the shipping bag becomes punctured.
It is also useful to have the item in a bag while stored on the racks because it will keep the clothing clean and dust free
@@rubashkastreetwear may I ask what brand those t-shirt bags are and size
@@nashvilletransfers 10x12” 2 mil bags. Any brand really will do, you can find them on amazon, staples, uline
Where do you buy these?
I get the shelves from Home Depot and the boxes from Uline.com
