I'm still listening to this song and it's September 2021. Brilliant song, talent, and voice. It's impossible to not sing along to this. Unfortunately, I have to come to UA-cam to listen to it because the radio stations here in Minnesota don't play good music at all!
Tell me this doesn't remind you of Bruce Hornsby. Been livin' for years thinking this was Bruce. Finally found this at a resale shop last week. Win-win. Thank you Providence. Killer groove. Turns out, one song on this album, 'Baby King', is also on Kathy Mattea's Joy for Christmas Day album, which I found at the same resale shop. Thanks again Providence.
I remember seeing this video once on vh1 (1993) and sadly never again. I've pleaded with Mr. Marc Cohn to release this onto his anthology music dvd project . Thank you Marc and Rhino for this release. Our favourite of Marc's
Me too! Ironically, I was just out of college and one week away from taking a trip to Paris and Italy with my Parents and Sister. I had never been to Europe before. I saw this video on VH1 and never saw it again since. I thought about this video while walking up and down The Spanish Steps in Rome.
Great great song from an awesome album too ( even better than his debut in my mind ). I know he will always be remembered for 'walking in memphis' but many artists are defined by their greatest hit...but WHAT a song to remembered for, nothing to be ashamed for there !!!...LOVE all his stuff !!!
I know this guy sang "walking in memphis". I also knew it was another song with "walk" in the title and was thinking it may be this same guy. But wasnt sure. I remember hearing this song back in my retail days in the 1990's. Now I found the music video and it is actually him (Marc Cohn) lol
Won't you walk through this world with me? 👣🌎
Go where I go. Share all my dreams with me.Ive missed you so.
Here we go! From the Spanish Steps to the Liberty Bell...🎼🎶🎵✨👍
So happy to see these clips again. Anxiously hoping for True Companion. Haven't seen that in 30 years.
Great song!
Also, was that Billy Joel @ 0:46?
I will
Criminally underappreciated artist.
I SO agree with you
Love this song , listening in 2021..

@@mmff7561 putting it on a iTunes list to download. It doesn't get played on the radio around here either, no worries..
Always uplifts me!
"Over the miles of mystery" - love that line!

A truly beautiful world to walk through! ❤
THIS genius speaks His words.... fantastic telemetry....
30 years later and still an awesome tune ❤ I invite you all to walk through the world with me 🎵🎶🎵🎵
Back in the mid-late ‘90s when CMT had its Jammin’ Country video block, they aired this video AND “Walkin’ in Memphis” quite often!!!
This reminds me of my VH-1 days. Good times

I thought it sounded very much like BH when I first heard it
@@R.E.M.67 thanks for backing me up. Some things I hear are so obvious to me, and people I point them out to just don't get it.
@@R.E.M.67 I just re-listened. What a sweet groove.

Reminds me of working at a grocery store.

Jim Blashfield fan, as well, I see
Nicesong
I think he was better off walking in Memphis, but walking has served Marc Cohn well
This song reminds me of a mix of Bruce Hornsby & Eric Clapton.
One day, I will play this to the girl that I want to take my hand.
Sounds like Bruce Hornsby...Good song.
Take so colour me
👍👍👍👍👍
Bruce Hornsby meets Randy Newman.
Is it Billiy Joel as angel at 0:47? If it is so, I realy understand, what it's all about.
He sort of looks like the Five For Fighting guy in this video
David Gray (Babylon) took a little of his style from this guy!
SNL brought me here!
Retail workers unite lol
if only elaine was here to walk with me.
Do you know the Joe Cocker's version?
Is it a Joe Cocker song?
Marc sang this in 1993. I believe Joe sang this some time in the 2000's
