When it actually hit the market a few years later, the production model looked pretty-much just like the prototype model featured in the movie. I remember that well.

3½ decades ago, a major manufacturer figured out premium cars with a large hatch (5th door), need the passenger compartment insulated from the luggage area. Think rainy, windy or cold weather. Citroen XM.
