True Pastor God is opposed to sin but if He were to strictly answer our prayers that way your prayer of the light pole wouldn't be answered, for Falsehood in doctrines is harbored in SDAsm but God In His Mercy answers their prayers and your prayers.

We are all sinners so we don’t deserve for our prayers to be answered. That’s why we pray in the name of Jesus for our prayers to be accepted. Also, if we persist to sin when convicted of it God will not answer that because He will not approve sin.
