Interesting conversation. How do you define "rest" on the sabbath? What is the biblical definition of that "rest"? I propose that the best definition of "rest", can be found by prayerfully reading and meditating on how Jesus kept the Sabbath - then follow Him 😊. Blessings!

I've heard this comment about God sparing and Protecting President Trump's life that could be true I guess. But if it was God's protecting him why didn't he protect the man that got shot in the head and died. It's just like everybody's looking over the fact that Donald Trump never once in public that I've ever known of has confessed Jesus Christ is Lord. And in fact I have heard him say that he doesn't feel the need to have God's forgiveness because he doesn't feel he's ever done anything wrong ever then he's lived a perfect life. I'm not judging the man I could vote for him I don't know. But it all seems like Christians jump on this bandwagon to try to make him out to be a born again Christian he doesn't show the fruits of a Christian as a matter of fact the whole Republican convention had very little Christian values to it if you've watched it they had people from other religions sing their God was just as great is our real God the god of Abraham Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and everybody agreed with that I don't understand why people are standing up so much for president Trump. Well said Pastor Finley. Violent Video Games are the common denominator. I left the church because of video games it was like heroin to me. But Praise God He brought me back in 2020 and gave me victory over those demonic games.

Those whose hopes are half in God, half in a man messiah to bring economic ease rather than God, will be soon deceived. I doesn’t matter left or right
God showed during the Pandemic who can halt the global economic powers with just one pandemic. The whole world stopped; tankers full of oil sat in the harbors unable to unload their product, airplanes and travel ceased, gatherings for work were halted, food processing came to a stand still, trucking and delivery became unstable. God showed us that He can stop this global economy in just one disease. This tested many and the political and religious right chose economy over the lives of human beings showing their true loyalty to this world as they sacrificed lives for a better economy. This ‘evil tide’ will return after these few short years of grace and this country and world will witness a change unheard of in our history.
Thank you Pastor Mark for this message. It helps open my eyes to what's going on and where my eyes should be focused on. Not being ignorant but being vigilant. I pray we can see God's plan and destroy satan's plan by clinging on to Jesus.
