The tutorials on console were pure nostalgia to see in this video! The first tutorial was the first world I ever played in minecraft and I still remember it vividly. I'd love to go down memory lane and see all of them in a later video!
During the early days of Minecraft pocket edition, there was a famous seed called Raygun. It is very famous for having nine diamonds below spawn along with some gold ore. which is enough for a nether reactor core edit: another thing I remember during the early days of Minecraft PE is the fact that sugar is useless but craftable.
Heeey, what's going on dude! Your, name, is, Anthony, and today I'm here because I want to express my appreciation for your uploads! You are always my go to source whenever I want to learn more about the new Minecraft updates. I usually try to avoid watching the trailers and other videos covering the new update because I like to be surprised when it comes out. I try to learn as much as I can on my own, and when I'm ready to learn everything, I just click on your video and I learn everything about the new update in a matter of days! And even to this day you are still teaching me new things I didn't know about Minecraft, be them old, new, unused, or removed. And if that wasn't enough, if I'm taking a break from Minecraft, you always put me right back in the mood for it, therefore making my latest Minecraft videos more entertaining! So thank you very much for reading this comment and being such a reliable source of Minecraft knowledge and inspiration, and I'll see you next time we cross paths! Goodbyyyyyyeeeeeeee!
Hey I know it's not entirely relevant, but I've been watching your videos for years, since I was in middle school. You're one of the greats who inspired me to start my own Minecraft channel, and you always cheer me up and give me my necessary hit of nostalgia dude. Anyway I really love your videos and I would absolutely LOVE if you did a video about the tutorial worlds :)
Idk what’s so nostalgic about this but I remember when I was seven I would just wake up in the middle of the night to “Back in the earlier days of Minecraft” thx bro
similar to the aether portal, i always used to watch dantdm mod reviews, every single time he made one of those videos i used to hop on minecraft and be dissapointed it wasnt added in the vanilla build. 8 months later i found skydaz
-You could eat food even if you're health bar was full -players could only use commands in creative mode -you could only place half doors -the sky didn't change the color when sunset -the diamond texture looks different -the nether was different -you were attacked by mobs even in creative mode -you could only hold 1 item
I would love to see a video based on the tutorial worlds. As someone who began playing Minecraft on the Xbox 360 before moving to Pocket Edition the tutorial world I remember is TU 31. Ah the memories of just snatching a bed, placing it down in the redstone house, and just staying there
I remember the old stone cutter when I played the old version on 2014. Its litteraly useless, like we don't even know what we're looking at that time. But something that is really useful is sleeping that will automatically full health heal you.
I haven’t watched you for years and mainly remembered you for the monkeys spinning monkeys song and the “rip rose, you will be missed” your voice made me cry from nostalgia, I remember when you only had like 90k, you’ve gone so far, good job bro
5:19 yep.. tears of joy,.. that trailer is what started my gameplay console players out there who else misses the old minigames, my favorite was the glide one
One thing that definatly some old players know for sure is that we could never play again with our old friends in servers because we all are allready mature people having some other things to do and don't even see each other so much. But yes we remember the great times when we played Minecraft.
You mean the sand, or something else? Anyway, Herobrine has been an inside joke with Mojang for a LONG time, so that might be the very first reference!
5:04 I played MC:PE when the nether reactor was a thing and yes I am guilty of this I also tried to make a regular nether portal because i didn't know how to use the core
7:48 yeah, you should make a video about all tutorial worlds (although many other youtubers already did). Console Edition deserves more attention than it currently has.
Man, I really miss the old blacksmith structure, it was so iconic. Btw I started playing mc when 1.12.2 was the last version. Man the good times, I would install a zillion mods.
There's a couple of reasons I still have the old Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition and Minecraft: Xbox One Edition (not the Bedrock Edition variant) - one is the old tutorial worlds, which were perfect to start a full survival world on and gave you a very good chance of making it. The other reason is the Multiplayer Minigames - the battle minigame and especially the glider minigame. I spent entire WEEKENDS against my friends, gliding through many levels and making my time as low as possible. I still remember two of the levels - one was going through the gastrointestinal system such as stomach and colon and such, and another was in a Chinese area with standard Chinese dragons and structures. Certain shortcuts sucked - trying to cut time by going through a 2x2 tunnel was very hard, especially since stopping your flight meant instant death.
I'm working on getting rid of the damned rose bushes where I live. The thorns catch me all the time, they grow like crazy, and are really hard to kill. Boiling salt water poured on it in the middle of winter. It only made it grow more and thicker, too.
I didn’t even play during some of these older bits but I still remember them from just watching those really *early* Minecraft videos (stuff like how to bully a kid in minecraft and Tobuscus’ playthrough)
When water didn't save anyone because it needed to be 2.5 blocks deep. On bedrock on the Old Alpha like around 1.2.4 or something very close to the update the screen when you opened it up had 3 buttons which was multiplayer, Survival, and Setting, not only that but the picture of the old world was a mountain that had a waterfall. I do remember a lot from this video I'm glad this video was made Thank you!
I remember my early MC days. My mom would never let my play survival, and i was fine with it, I liked creative building. I also played a little bit of Roblox so i built a giant Meepcity themed house, was shaped like a red meep and i tried to recreate stuff like the blender. My first modded experience was on my brothers computer when he let me play Pixelmon sometimes. I still love pixelmon
I still build my farms with old school trampling in mind. Trough of water, covered by slabs, so you can safely walk on the slabs while harvesting and planting. I still try to not walk on my crops
Before Redstone added. You had to be creative with your systems. Sand, gravel and signs were the original Redstone of its time with many contraptions still being used to this day in a different way
15:35 DId you know that it was actually a bug introduced in Minecraft 1.4.3 that removed this feature? MC-3449 was a REALLY annoying bug in Minecraft 1.4.3 through 1.4.7 that caused switching what you were holding in your hotbar to reset block breaking progress. The unfortunate thing is that the Redstone Update only partially fixed the bug, which is why that old feature doesn't work anymore.
nether reactor core made minecraft pe feel so fresh, i remember trying to connect to my friends by lan on pocket edition before bedrock and my 7 year old self could not figure it out
2 seeds that was known a lot on pocket edition was Super Pig and 111. Super Pig spawned you right infront of a village that had a blacksmith and it was on top of a cliff, amazing cave system under the village, and a witch hut 20 blocks away from spawn. 111 had 2 desert temples combined
A few months ago I spawned in a new survival world. I spawned on the edge of a Jungle (not Jungle edge biome though), which lead right onto a desert. I walked into the desert and immediately saw a temple and village close by. Since I was in survival, I went to the temple first and got around 6 diamonds. I then probably had to log off because of dinner or something and I don’t know what happened to the world.
I remember that back on the old Minecraft if you used the seed 555 you would spawn with 2 woodlin mansions right next to spawn diagonal from each other and a 3rd one off the map. Best seed ever. I miss that.
I remember blowing up the big Minecraft logo with a bunch of TNT and not knowing what the obsidian structure was supposed to do XD Also who else remembers the minigames and minigames hub?
Since my brother gave me his Xbox 360, i was really excited because that i used to watch him play Minecraft, but when I started to play instead of having the tutorial world that most people are familiar, there was another one with a giant underground castle in an Island that was basically like a school, it was so big and it covered redstone, potions, banners, fireworks, you name it, i decided to turn it into a school like building, it was so nostalgic
I'm new Subscriber. Thanks for this all facts for Minecraft. But one question. How you set your skin on older versions. My skin in Minecraft is only work from 1.3 to 1.19.
From this video I remember the nether reactor, the life restored while sleeping, the stonecutter, the tutorial world from Xbox 360, the door puching thing, the creeper moving, the dragon bar and the smooth stone slabs
There are so many things in this video that I don't count as things only "old players"/Minecraft veterans know, especially anything past the full 1.0 release is not within veteran scope in my opinion. 1:46 the reason why the nether reactor core was created in pocket edition it's because devices were too weak to handle it at the time in 2011, 2012, 2013 etc..so the nether reactor core existed to make a small nether dimension area so that the device doesn't crash.
