Remember when there were no cats, only ocelots that magically changed appearance when tamed.
Or when crafting tables were called "Work Benches" ?
Or when breaking a sign would give you a wood plank?
When I think about that that's just weird. Like hey give this ocelot 20 fish and boom it's fur changes. And you would only get 3 options. I don't even remember the original.

Awesome was the fact that you could get different colouring for the sky by editing textures + Adventure Mode mod was amazing, you could make a custom campaign with dialog boxes, quests, custom npcs etc. + I miss the old griefing, you could literally burn down whole New York with just 1 lit wooden plank + There were so many great mods that never got updated
That sword block was a universal sign of peace..

I remember the old boat, the old cobblestone texture, the fact that creepers would jump-scare you when you walk past one side of a wall while a creeper is on the other side of the wall, the lighting would come in stages when it's getting dark, the rose, the old gravel texture, the fact that players couldn't see what the enchantment table language means in English, the achievements, the fact that mining crafting tables and furnaces, the feature that you can spam-click your sword, the fact that fire would spread insanely fast back then, the feature that you can block with your sword, the fact that caves only had stone and the ores that existed back then, the old lava texture, building diamond houses was a very popular Minecraft trend, the time where the Notch Apple had a crafting recipe, the time where dungeons would generate on the surface, the stars in the old versions of Minecraft, there wasn't a recipe book, the maximum build height of 128 blocks, the fact that animals like a sheep or a cow would jump all over the place, the time where the Crafting Table was called the Workbench, the old crafting recipe for Golden Apples, the village gravel pathways, the fact that you can only place stairs in one type of way, the logo with the orange bold text and the black bold text in the Mojang logos, the fact that it would take your buckets when you craft a cake instead of only taking the milk, the fact that it would pull you down like you were drowning, the fact that the spawners in dungeons would look like it's spawning a pig, the ability to block with your sword, the old splash sound, the time that villages had these budget-looking lamps, the fact that deserts would have a couple of little lakes, the fact that tamed wolves had red collars and that name tags didn't exist back then. I am definitely a Minecraft veteran.

Yes! And the amount of time you held was equivalent to how much of the item it would give you. So if you had a stack of food and only held for half the time, it would give you 32 instead of 64.

i remember the recipe, you need 8 blocks of gold and 1 apple and boom, you get the notch apple but the feature is removed in the newer ones so i know everything about the features of the older versions and also the crops and trees grow instantly to its final phase in the older versions/days of minecraft, slabs can be broken with pickaxes, and if the villager was first created, their name is "TESTIFICATE" wich is the name of the villager in minecraft beta 1.9, in the older versions of minecraft, stars used to be slightly smaller and brighter and now they are massive and not much brighter, today they look slightly smaller and brighter, COOKIES!, all launchers were here and the steak's name in older versions were named cooked porkchop and the porkchop cooked had the texture, the crafting table was called *workbench.* and also watch the squid games in minecraft mr beast challenge : *ua-cam.com/video/s72dhTVYKtM/v-deo.html*
I know quite a good chunk of this, as I still main good old 1.7.10, primarily for my mods but also for the nostalgia. Heck, the old launcher is practically burned into my mind as it's one of the things I saw the most of for years, coming home from school and opening up Minecraft with my dad's old Acer laptop or playing multiplayer on the road with this specialized Virgin Mobile USB thing that allowed me to get a Wi-Fi connection just about anywhere... yeah, that was my childhood and early teenagehood. And bud, you forgot something - if you still remember when Herobrine was first invented and if you watched that fateful Brocraft stream from Copeland, then you are a true Minecraft veteran.
I remember when you could block with your shield. I still use that Xbox 360 it had that feature

13:24 Buiding diamond house is the literally first thing that I did in minecraft in 1.5.2. It was 2 blocks tall and in the snowy tundra and snows made me sick when building it! Then I placed beacons for lighting. And I spawned an enderman in it but it was dying because it is 2 blocks tall and his head was suffocated :D

I remember them all I played the game on the 2 update because when it first came out it wasn’t popular and it look terrible but yay I miss some of those but you forgot to mention the machine thing you put a block in the middle it teleports you to a nether block which spawns piglans and spawns qurts which was super easy

Creeper's texture is still neon green
because Notch wanted the Creeper to camouflage in the old's grass textures
Fun fact, I still have to manually move objects into a chest and u still hear the old water sounds when I go into the water, also I still see the old village lamps (I’m on mc pe)

I’m complaining about number 97 because one of my Minecraft worlds had a city and a LITERAL collection of water sources in it.
You can still craft golden apples in bedrock but now it's made with gold ingots not blocks
I really forgot that you can use a sword as a sheld, memories, good memories.

Oh my goodness thank you for this nostalgia, it just made me happy. Funny thing ti, I still call the crafting table a workbench, so much so that even my gf calls it that now, and she only started playing somewhat recently.

When the old creative mode inventory showed up, I literally GASPED like that menu was my whole childhood

I feel like I didn’t realize I was a vet. I stopped a few years then Picked it back up like I practically had to relearn everything with all the new stuff. I was like.. wow...wow..WOW...wow every couple minutes.

They do be using aimbot
@@giankosokataktitis It's worse on Bedrock. They basically have a semi-auto bow on Bedrock and you are forced to use a shield otherwise their knockback won't let you get close. Then there's the fact they have Super Aimbot.
A skeleton literally 360 no scoped me today. It jumped off of the roof of my friend’s house and shot me after doing a full 360. I remember when skeletons couldn’t hit anything, especially if you were standing still for some reason.

I have played since items didnt have names... but what the hell is a nether reactor core?
@@benjaminhamrick8612 Basically on the old versions of Minecraft on android and iOS there wasn’t a Nether, instead they had a block called the nether reactor core that summoned a mini nether biome in the overworld. To activate it I think you had to surround it in gold and iron.
