Awesome video! Very helpful. One suggestion...not good to use silicone grease around GelCoat. It can cause fisheyes. Also, the solvent resistant o-rings used in this gun will deteriorate quickly if you use a petroleum based grease such as vasilene. Best to use liquid soap or some sort of synthetic grease. Never install o-rings dry. They cut easily.

Great video, can you explain how to and when to adjust the flow knob at the back? Thanks for the tip on the whip... i made one for my setup..

Thanks man, appreciate the comment. With the whip being close to the tool, I never adjust the flow knob on the gun - I just leave it wide open and dial in the pressure with the regulator on the whip. This is actually the same for all my spray guns and what makes this so nice.

Hi, great video. How much qty gel coat would u require for a 10msq area of grp. (Applied to the mould prior to GRP application)

Best to check with the gel coat manufacturer for the appropriate coverage rate for the application. I focus strictly on tooling (mold making) so my coverage rates might be different than yours if you are pulling fiberglass parts.
For tooling, I'm right around 100g/sq ft applied in 3-4 passes. My target wet mil thickness is 18-20. But again, I want to stress that is a different use case and material. Good luck!
