I’m still trying to get a decent weld with this machine! The only thing I haven’t changed is the gas, how common is it to get a bad bottle of argon? I have tig welded stainless steel in my previous job but even stainless on this machine I just can’t get a steady arc and puddle. It seem all over the place!
Hi there, what tungsten are you using, material size & amperage? For easier communication feel free to message us on our live chat on our website from 8am-4:30PM (Aest).
@@unimigsupport2.4 Zirconiated, 3mm aluminium, 140amp but I’m using a foot pedal so probably not using near that limit. Argon speed gas 9 lpm. 2 pre-gas 4 post-gas 3+ Ac balance,120 hrs. I’ve adjusted everything but nothing really changes
It would be best to send us some photos so we can visually see your welding results. Your settings seem right it could be a polarity issue is your torch plugged into the negative outlet?
Hey mate, it depends on what position you are welding, how thick the aluminium is and how much penetration you need. This machine is very preference based and settings change from project to project.
@@oo0Spyder0oo I wish it was that simple . I’ll give you the TL;DR version … Had to complain to a state rep who came and sorted it out after the place I purchased it from wiped their hands of it . Was a shitty deal but glad it got sorted

Here’s a tip, lose the silly music if you want your audience to hear you. Second, does this come with the mig and tig torches? The info online doesn’t mention all torches being in the kit.
The way the settings are selected on this make it really understandable. Happy with my machine so far, cheers!
Just got a Unimig Viper from total tools, this is the best tutorial that I've ever seen, thanks.

What is the best setting for tig aluminum frequency and balance?

Is vrd only for tig lift too or mma only?
Are the settings shown a good start point for 2mm ac?
No, the settings he sets the machine to does not match what is recommended in the Unimig book
What do you do if out of the box it doesn’t work ? Is there any fault finding techniques?!? Or did I just drop $1400 on a lemon and that’s it ?!?
Well you return it for a replacement right?

This is Tig and Stick only. No Mig.
